I'm assuming you mean screen protectors? The original one that came with the phone is great... just try not to get dust underneath it. Makes it unsalvagable
As for other screen protectors... well, you get what you pay for. I bought a pack of 12 for about $15. A $1 screen protector is exactly that.
In terms....
If you're talking about the today screen then yes. Download the .Cab files on your device and open it on your device. Try that for now and if it say like exe. then more then likely you would have to active sync your comp to phone. good luck
I meant screen protector
the one that came with the phone is smaller then the screen.
Very annoying.
Yeag ut do
Try it but dont buy it... your phone will more then likely dent and scratch but it happens over the years. by the time your know it; youll be buying a new phone anyway. Im on my 4 xda over 2 years. IF your with t mobile; they will go into a big change really soon. phone is already in transaction to catch the 3G internet. Save that $15 to your nexts phone! by the time your know it 6 months later you have $45. good luck
I use Boxwave screen protectors with this device and all my past devices. I have good luck with Boxwave. One screen protector will last you 9 months to a year. I normally just carry my Wing (and my previous devices) in my front pocket with the screen turned inwards to my leg. No keys, pens, change or other things in the pocket. Never have had a problem this way.
I use ShieldZone's full case cover(film) on my wing...
even though the place I work doesn't sell them, I still take my keys to the case just to prove the point that cases/protectors are worth it..
I keep my Wing in my pocket, frequently with my money clip and/or pens... 2 months it's still in *great* condition.. sure the cover is getting a bit dirty, but I know when i remove the cover months down the road to replace it it'll probably look like new again
I just ordered a set of protectors from NuShield. They seem like a really great product. I'll let you know how they are when they get here. It was 3 for $11.99 US.
Im into selling phones and one thing I've noticed is that WM phones don't depreciate as much as say a Razr would. I read a comment about someone who says you shouldn't get one (and I respect everyone's opinion,) but that wouldn't be very smart. If you keep your phone in good condition + keep a screen protector on it by the time you come to sell it and buy a new phone you will be able to put more money on your new purchase (with the money made from selling your old phone) than you would with just the 15 you would save from buying a screen protector. For me this is a no brainer. Get a screen protector, and I don't mean the one that comes with it, buy a good one for like 20$.
Atleast once you do you won't care about touching her delicate parts cuz you'll be using protection
I just got my NuShield screen protectors in today and I think they rock. They're of a very strong plastic material that is absolutely clear, and it completely covers the screen, even under the bezel, without using any adhesive. No bubbles, nothing between the protector and the screen, absolutely perfect display. Cannot even tell it is there.
I read a post in another thread where someone bought a sizable skin from bestskinsever.com. I tried it out because they said they had such good luck with it. Its the first screen protector that I have ever put on that actually is invisible. No dust, no bubbles, looks perfect. You use a soap solution before you put it on and slide it into place. I used my fingernail to get the edges of the screen protector underneath the edges of the phone. Seriously, it looks like its not even there. Oh yeah, they are cheap as hell too.
i buyed a schreen protector , exactly to herald .. it cost $22 (it was only one schreen protector) .. i have it about 15 months of full gaming by stylus, and surving net by picsel brovser (a lot of slides by stylus) and i dont have 1 scratch on it... it is realy perfect .. perfect fits on my schreen, and it seems, it is undestroyable... very happy with it ...
i would say, you better buy one more expensive for a long of time than be still buing that, where one cost $1.. (my opinion)
I have a cracked and scuffed touchscreen on my x10 and for $30 on ebay I was going to replace the screen. My concern is that I can get ones from China for half the price of the USA and some say 'Grade A no bubbles' but others do not, are these quality screens from China or will I be diasspointed?
Has anyone had a bad experience replacing their touch screen with the Chinese products? They say OEM but are they from Sony or are they knock offs and is there build quality concerns using the cheap ones?
in my opinoin when it comes to electronics , especially from china, you get what you pay for, id rather pay a little extra knowing that it will be ok
Agreed. With china there's a 99% chance that what you are buying is not OEM. Likely it's very cheaply made.
Yeah I hear ya... that is probably exactly what I would had replied to this post if someone else asked the same question.
I was really hoping someone would tell me that they bought a screen from XXXXX on ebay and it was better then the original but I guess I need to decide if I want cheap or quality.
I've already replaced the phone with an HTC EVO 3D but there is alot of life left in this X10 and it is a great platform for hacking and learning android. Plus they make awesome tiny tablets for around the house.
Thanks for the input.
I got white replacement from china which is quite good.. I won't say its authentic, but here in the UK most replacement dealers get there stuff from china anyway.
Buying from China is like cutting out the middle-man, the down side is just you need to wait.. And if you think they are not what you think your money's worth, you could always tell them you did not receive the item and get your refund.
try to buy from best sellers only...otherwise nothing is guaranteed.
Omar.

Globalshining
Maybe i'm the lucky one, bought one from globalshining on ebay for 20 Euro and thought: well if this aint gonna work, it;s 20 euro's thrown away. But here in my town (germany) they ask 80 Euro for it. After 8 days!!! I received the piece: fitted perfectly but it was at least one hour work to get the overly scratched old one of and the new one on. I did search google for disassembling instructions for the X10 and found one with lots of photo's. Without these instructions, you easily brick your phone.
Regarding GlobalShing: its on ebay, or eshoptradehk dot com I first checked the ebay ratings: then decided to do so..
But do get your own screwdrivers cause the one from China dont fit at all....
Cheers
hey could someone help me with a link?
i just cracked the front screen on my fone and i need to replace it. would like to replace the whole screen and case.
i googled a few, but i was not sure if they included the front screen cos its the front screen thats cracked.
then i also learnt that the touch module is glued to the front glass screen, will the new case screen also have one attached to it or would i have to remove this one and stick it to the new one?

Well I'm still looking for a good replacement. I've done plenty of reading and research but I'm not sure which way to go.
Has anyone done a digitizer swap? What was the end result? Were you happy or did it brick your phone?
Any opinions would be nice to hear.
Thanks.
put a super amoled display from the SGS in it
Hi, I cracked my digitiser VERY badly, so I was forced to replace the digitiser... The LED was slightly scratched because of the drop, but I don't mind, it's hardly noticable. I took the phone apart like 3 times:
1 - taking it apart
2 - power button i forgot to put back
3 - had a little of $h!t under the digitiser

I swapped my digitiser, and so did XDA Recognised Developer for the x10 pvyparts and none of our phones were bricked, it worked perfectly after... Took about 20min to do, I did it during school break because I was bored...
Goodluck!
Better you replace the phone, you don't know the quality that Chinese product
i have tried a couple of different touches an for me so far all of them has been a bit of a dissapointment, the touch works good but the fit is bad. Sensors, proximity particularly, gone bad. sry for really bad eng.

Im looking for a good quality Glass protector for my G3.
I see a lot of cheap ones on and can't decide between all of them.
Can someone point me to a good quality one, even if it's a little more expensive?
Ebay and Ali express are preferable.
Thanks!
I just bought the cheapest one i could find on ebay and i love it. Having it for almost 3 months now and no scratches yet.
Verstuurd vanaf mijn LG-D855 met Tapatalk
just buy the 9H ones they should be fine
I've used this one from Amazon multiple times and loved it. It's super easy to put on, practically invisible, and feels great. Even when it does crack I never get a huge spider web, always more of a small hairline fracture. That means that I can barely see the cracks and I often wait to crack it multiple times before getting a new one. I drop my phone at least once a day and yet this one still lasts me multiple months even without a case

Try This one
My Amazon account shows me I've tried 8 different one including the icarez referenced above. The best one in my opinion and the the smoothest to your finger is this one.

I got the zagg one but dont get it have had for 6 months its crKed 4 diffrent times ive had to waranty it out plus also a lot of the glasses hinder touch screen acuracy mines .5 mm thick and my touch screen response is horible but it keeps screen scratch free
The LaoHe one for me is the best ... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015FCTH0Q
Bought this around last year in June and I still have my 1st glass intact. Use this one since it comes in a 3 pack.

Rate this thread to express how you think the LG G6 feels in terms of quality. A higher rating indicates that it feels premium and high-quality (attention to detail is high, manufacturing defects don't exist, etc).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
The phone I ordered is the Ice Platinum.
The phone itself feels wonderful in the hand. I particularly love the bevel work along the sides of the phone. Everything feels very well polished.
The camera and finger print sensor are in a good place. The button feels very sturdy. No unusual clicking or hitching. Feels like it will stand years of use quite fine.
I am not sure what the back is made of. It's possible it's like the black and is made of glass due to the wireless charging. Either way, it feels very smooth to the touch. Doesn't have a metal texture at all, it feels like smooth glass. Everything on the phone is smooth for the most part except for where the bevels are. They have a bit of a polish though. The non-recessed finger print sensor and camera feel premium.
This is honestly one of the most well constructed phones I've ever owned. Look up G6 tear down on Youtube... they open up the phone and you can see the materials and they also scratch at the back to reveal the glass construction. It takes a beating.
I ordered the black (as always due to it matching everything and working well with cases that you can still see parts of the phone body (all cases pretty much... at least the top) and it feels perfect. Of course I put it in a case immediately and refused to use it until my case was on due to liking a thicker phone for holding purposes, but it feels natural just as my LG G2 that I am coming from.
I've had mine for 2 days now and coming from an iPhone the visual appeal of the phone is what made me switch over, along with the themes etc. As a first time Android user the go-to phone is usually a Samsung but I'm glad I got this device. I have to take extra care for now as I'm waiting for my phone case and tempered glass to come in the mail. This phone has a premium feel and I am happy

You coming from Apple and not picking Samsung is huge. Seems like you have an objective POV and I think this was a good choice for your first time. You'll learn that there are other manufacturers other than Samsung that can deliver but if you're looking for something that can be a culmination I believe LG is the way to go.
?????
I dropped mine from one meter high on the concrete. The metal frame has marks on upper right and lower right corners, no sign of damage at the front and the back of the phone. MIL- STD is a must have.
Had mine since August (original had some possible defects). AT&T replaced it for free and this thing is absolutely amazing.
The build quality of it is incredible. I love the way the metal (Aluminum?) bezel feels. It's smooth and doesn't scrape my hand, the glass back has a nice, slight curve, doesn't crack easy, and is quite durable. The screen is great, especially how the way it matches exactly with the edge of the bezel.
That's all I have to say for now on the build quality, but I'll update this post with information later.
It has fallen from my hands couple of times, no cracks, no bumbs, and in the hands it feels amazing.. Quality feel for me is at highest range. ?

SIM card tray HS
Hello,
Sorry for my english...
I bought a new micro-sd card.
SIM and microSD drawer didn't want to pull out easily.
After having extracted the tray, to use it, I realized that it was broken. So I can't put it back on or use the phone.
I contacted the LG support, which tells me that this is not covered by the warranty, and it gives me an address to send for repair.
The repair estimate just returned... 270.40 €!!!!!!!!
They're changing the motherboard and the case !
I'm really angry with LG.
a piece of advice, don't use this drawer too often.
Why didnt you asked them first the costs of repair ? I never repair the phone before they tell me how much will it cost. And why didnt you try to get that drawer on ebay or something ? Lol :S

because I didn't have a choice, LG said no guarantee, here's the address or send your smartphone... Address where I had already sent my G4 (botloop).
Then, of course I tried, without dismantling, to remove this piece of plastic.... too stuck in the bottom...
Problem is, they disassembled the smartphone... what do I get? any pieces?

Yeah I was told 2500 baht (that's about 50 English pounds) to open phone, then could be up to 200 pounds to repair depending if motherboard needs fixed, its a disgrace its not under warranty
Are you able to get the small piece of plastic out of the drawer that has snapped off? If you can then you can by replacement sim/sd tray on eBay for 10-15 Euro. Good luck.
A few weeks back I dropped my phone while riding my bike and after that a car went on it and it survived... I had a basic case on it... The phone's general built quality is dam good in my opinion... I've ordered a supcase to make my phone last a lot longer... Just hoping for bootlocker unlocking option on ds model.. hoping for the best
I assume my lovely daughter has dropped or knocked the tablet as I have a diagonal hairline crack across one corner. Doesn't affect use but its bugging the hell out of me!
So I understand to get it repaired is going to cost more than £300 (local shop). I could get a new one for £400! Or should I just sit on it (not literally) and wait for the S4 - missed MWC so expect after August now.
Even with this damage I'd expect to get over £150 for it on ebay so maybe not really worth doing anything.
Anyone else (UK) had a screen replaced?

When my son did this to his tablet I just put a screen protector over the screen and it was good as new. Obviously still cracked underneath.
its safer to put on a tempered glass protector and it take the bump.. than be penitent after the screen has cracked. also better to invest in a bumper cover. I learnt it the hard way with my Tab S 8".. spent INR 10k to get it repaired and another 2K for a book case. had i invested in a book case, i would have saved 8K!
Tab S3 has a hard case... bulky, but then i got big hands

I agree with a case but not a screen protector. Totally ruins the experience. I don't want to keep the screen in pristine condition for someone else's benefit. I want to experience a smooth silky touch screen for myself.
