You can also buy Shure RMCE-BT2 High-Resolution Bluetooth 5.0 Communication Cable.
I use xiaomi usb C ANC headphones. With audio optimizations sounds really good

If you want a really balanced audio experience, then go for the m6 Pro's from mee audio, those are musician's in-ear audio monitors, but you can use them as normal headphones, 3.5 mm, great audio quality and they're noise isolating.
If you want wonderful audio quality at low price, get the Xiaomi Hybrid 2nd Gen. They're really good for the price and have great sound for every user in general.

Will this headset works with our device?
40$ for ANC headset seems cheap
https://www.gearbest.com/earbud-headphones/pp_636900.html
Any info..!
It works with RR ROM (I haven't tested with other ROMs), but it isn't recognized as a headset, so you can listen to music, but you can't use it for phone calls.
If anybody knows a workaround to get it to work, it would be great.
What about noice cancellation? Is it working? Thats what make this headset different..!
ANC is a functionality that is provided by the headset, not the phone. To answer your question, yes it works. I have no comparable headphones, but it works quite great when I use the bus or train.
I see some reviews saying ANC is working only from mi music app thats why I asked whether its working in our phone or not.
How are you turning on ANC from headset? Is there a key for that?
There is a little switch placed on the remote. When it's activated, a tiny blue led lights up.
ANC isn't restricted to an application. You can plug in the earphone, activate ANC and it works, without opening an app, or play music.
Good..Thank you..!

I'm thinking of buying one. Did it work out for you? I'm using Lineage OS also, have you tried on a custom ROM as well? Thanks!!!
I am thinking of getting one too but I want an assurance that it would work when I get it. Also, I read reviews online about the sound quality but am still quite sceptical about the sound. So if anyone has tested it out and tried few eq's on them such as Viper4Android, please your opinion would be very useful. Thank u.
I finally got one for my leeco le max 2!!!!! It's good but my equalizer (Viper4Android) doesn't work for it and that's a little disappointing. But with apps such as Poweramp you can get better sound quality. I can say the headphones sounds better than the stock cdla headphones and yes the anc(active noise cancellation) works!!!. Drains a little more battery but I guess it functions like cdla(I mean similar power consumption)... In my own review it's quite good.
Same problem here with viperfx, I think it's because the earphones aren't recognized as usb input. Randomly DolbyAtmos workes for me as an equalizer, but not all the time and I don't know what affects this.
V/S the leeco Cdla

Well audio clarity is most definitely obvious on the Xiaomi noise cancelling earbuds also durability in terms of the cable is quite good ANC(active noise cancellation is not as great as I hoped especially when compared to a different pair of ANC earbud i used to have in about the same price range) however the sound in general that is, the bass especially the bass, the mid and highs are ok on the cdla earphones, but durability is terrible. MY cdla earphones cord ripped to shreds that's how bad the cables are.
BAD NEWS: My Xiaomi earbuds fell on the floor and the left ear just died(only very faint sound could be heard) but the right ears were okay, so am not so sure of its durability. And I just recently got the earbuds
Just got a mate 10 Pro to compare to my u11+ and found that every dongle used with the Mate 10 Pro sounds so quiet. The U11+ is so much louder but even the OP3T and S8 seem louder. Has anyone else found this to be the case? I've used the stock dongle, Google's and Razerphone and they are LOUD on S8 and U11+ but extremely quiet on Mate 10 Pro
Have you tried playing around with the sound option? Specifically the Huawei Histen Sound Effects option.

Yeah and it makes things sound different, it's basically just an EQ right. Doesn't do anything in terms of making sound louder and boosting everything via EQ for loudness is simply a no go. Via Bluetooth it's fine because my P7s built in amp is used. My wired headsets sound horrible through the Mate 10 Pro though.

Same here.
Sound could be better honestly.
With dongle or with Bluetooth headset, sound is just ok...
Audio capabilities of this phone are a big disappointment in my opinion. If someone can help to make things better please let us know.
Same issue. Mate and 10 lite
No issue whatsoever. I bought the fabulous sony-wh-1000xm2 and live is seriously good. Streaming high res flacs over 990 kbs LDAC
With Mate 10, even with cheap Philips in-ear headset (Philips-SHE3595BK) sound is very clear and loud.
I can't even imagine with a good quality headset.
Using some mdr-1a and the USB c headphones from htc bolt/10 Evo. Both sound very very good, clear and Loud.
I have rooted my phone and can try to find out if there is a way to boost audio via USB c headphones / the adapter

Sound is good but imo, not enough high with headsets
Yes, the max output level is quite low for the dongle. Over BT it's the same as other sources in output level since that's not set by the phone.
Is this on European phones only ? could it be the EU volume limit as seen on many mp3 players etc ?

Need root to increase level sadly
@Galactus so I got the u11 today and tried the dongle on the huawei. and man! it IS SO MUCH LOUDER and everything sounds better too!
With my IE80 the sound is loud enough... But the impedance is also only 16Ohms...
Since there isn't a headphone jack anyways, you can buy the Good Pixel USB Dac, heard it's quite good, at "iPhone" level.

Indeed it is and yet the U11+ is even louder
Not that it is necessary but the extra voltage and lower volume brings out more of the sound etc.
The best dongle I have used is the Razerphone dongle followed by the Pixel 2 dongle. The HTC dongle is actually the worst, but still better than what Huawei bundled with the Mate 10 Pro

Hi all,
I searched through a lot of forums and video reviews but couldn't see anyone doing a clear review of the quality of sound from the headphone jack.
I'm considering getting the F1 to replace my Axon 7 so wondering if the sound quality will be much worse?
If you can compare it with Axon 7 it would be great.
I knew about the GSMarena test of audio quality but that may not be the same in real life. Also it seems that the phone didn't utilise the Snapdragon 845 chip's audio capability which should be better than older phones.
Thanks
Anyone?
I don't know why people ask this question on every phone's page? IF there is no dedicated hardware used for audio it will should sound same as all SD SOCs. You can try all kinds of fancy software optimisations and equalizers it doesn't matter as long as the audio hardware is the same.
For answering your question in particular, IIRC Axon 7 has dedicated AKM 4490en for processing audio signal which is top notch. So NO Poco or any other phone with SD SOC audio is not even come close in audio quality for that matter. And since we are there take my advice and don't sell that phone(AXON 7). For it's audio capabilities you can take out the sim and can use it as a Android DAP for as long as it can serve you. A simple android DAP sells for quite a bit. I was myself very interested in this phone for audio but since it was not available in my country I went for LG V20 which I sold 2 weeks back.
I haven't had the pleasure to try the Axon 7 before, but I have used the HTC 10. The amp on this thing is weak,on my IEMs I had to crank it up to around 60-70% to get to my usual volume. Compared to a HTC U11 dongle (with DAC in it) that I have around, the dongle simply sounds better.
With all of that said, the fact that the headphone jack is there is still very much appreciated.
The headphone lacks depth and bass though it can improved through through Mi Sound Enhancer but still won't be somewhere near phones with built-in DAC.
We can hope for upcoming Dolby support soon.
I read a lot of threads back when the Poco F1 was released and a lot of people complained about low volume of audio output from headphone jack and low clarity.
It is very hard to compare audio quality if you dont have 2 devices side by side.
So I request people who have the Poco F1 and some other phone like the Redmi Note Pro, Moto, Nokia etc to compare the volume and audio clarity.
If you have MIUI device use the same audio settings.
Can anyone please do this?
Edit: Sorry for double post. Thread was not showing up so I replied here.
I have Axon 7 and POCO F1. I think that quality on Poco is great. When i used earphones with my axon 7 with low impedance (KZ ZS6 - 16 ohm) i heard hiss when i turned wifi on... On poco F1 i dont have any problemes and quality for source Tidal (HIFI),Spotify (Premium), Youtube Music is very good. (headphone - beyredynamic COP) . In next days i will have external dac SMSL IDEA. I will try compare sound quality between poco inernal dac and my new external dac.
+ Dolby is very very bad. On axon it was first thing that i turned off. Viper FX is best.

Duude, we have the same IEM, KZ ZS6. Poco does create a static noise in a specific situation (can only be heard when nothing is playing):
1. Enable tap to wake.
2. Don't play any audio with Poco.
3. Connect your IEM.
4. Lock the phone or just manually turn-off the display.
5. Rest your whole hand on the LCD, you'll hear a static noise and mine was prominent on the left channel. I noticed that the static noise is stronger when the LCD is turned-off.
How did I find it?
Since fingerprint cannot be disabled, I always place my Poco in my pocket with the LCD facing my leg and I always hear static noise every sone transition.
I disabled double tap to wake due to this.
Weird interaction. lol.

Yes, on my Beyerdynamic COP I need set volume to 40-50% for comfortable listening (Spotify). I think with all IEMs or over ear headphone to 64 ohm you will not have problem.

Yes, i used Huawei earphones type c
Cool thanks, how is the quality, loudness comparedd to the 3.5mm?
Sent from my Redmi Note 9S using Tapatalk
The sound is fantastic. I find that it sounds better than the 3.5mm connector. But, you must consider that when you take the audio out of the type C port, it is the DAC of the headset that works. In addition, the audio improvements provided by the MIUI application are added when detecting a device connected by port c. Totally recommended to use USB sound.

Thanks for your reply. I've been in audio limbo at the moment considering bluetooth headphones or new wired headphones and thought id look at the USB C options after getting the 9S.
Do the miui sound enhancer and equalizer option still work via USB? I use them with a set of wired sennheisers and find the quality decent after some tweaking, im no audiophile, but have found the audio output quality of xiaomi's to be quite good.

I agree with USB as the best choice to listen to music currently with Redmi Note 9S. I'm facing a bug with my Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth headphones -and all Bluetooth audio devices connected to my phone- that makes them sound very very low. Very annoying bug, I'm even thinking to sell my phone if Xiaomi doesn't fix it.

Hi there,
I also own these brilliant headphones, And I have the 9S global. I don't have any problem whatsoever with BT volume, in fact the BT output is very very loud.
Still yet to try USB audio though, it's great to hear that this works well. As inconvenient as it may be maybe a factory reset will solve your problem. Hope you sort it ?

Hello All,
I have just gotten a Poco F1 and installed the Pixel experience plus on it. I have issues with the audio quality it puts out being rubbish. I get plenty of volume, usually listening at around 65=80%. It just sounds so muddy and tinny with no definition in it on my V-Moda Crossfade headphones, in both wired and wireless. I don't really know how to describe it, like there is no layers in the sound that I am used to hearing from my previous phone a Sony XA2 . (not saying the Sony is the best sounding thing but its a lot better then what i am getting from my Poco F1)
I have tried playing with android4viper which made it a little better but it is still barely listenable
Is their something wrong with this ROM with using the SD845 decoder / DAC? Is their any way i can improve it? I cannot find anything on the forum relating to my issue. Or am i just being to picky? Would i be better off running a USB C DAC with an OTG cable?
Thank you for everything!

Nope, You're better off with a external DAC like the Mojo, Ive relegated my mojo to secondary phone status after trying out many different audio mods, All of them barely helping out in any way. My older LG V30 still kicks ass in that department.
