[Q] C++ program for android

Good morning and i apologize if i am re-posting something already answered, i'm a first time c++ user and started a college class on the basics of it using Visual studios 2010. My question is instead of lugging my 17 inch laptop around to class every day, i was actually looking to purchase the ACER Iconia A500 or ASUS EEE Transformer tablet. Knowing that these run android i wasn't for sure if i could use a program similar to Visual studios on the tablet to Program for windows and just upload my work as needed to my pc at home or school to print. Is this possible at all since android is java based and not C++ or am i better of lugging my laptop around with me for this class.

[Q] Got my nexus, ready to go, what do I do next?

Went on a bit of a spending splurge this past weekend and bought myself a new Nexus 7 2013 model with the intention of zapping Android from it and using it with Ubuntu Touch. It's still in its box awaiting it's destiny.
I'm all rather new to this, but do use Ubuntu day to day on my laptop, home server and cloud server so not a linux noob (well, not much of one anyway).
I know the 2013 isn't supported properly with the current version of 'Touch' and the new version will be, so my question is, what do I do next and how? Is there a pre-release development alpha ready for use or should I wait for the beta? What tools do I need and how do I go about it? Is there a walkthrough for new installers like myself?

Pairing LG W200 LTE via BT > BB PP OS 10.3 with modified Android OS 4.3 Runtime

Hello all,
Long time follower on xda, and now first time contributor, sorry.
Been tinkering with android x86 for some time, got bored and lost interest due to busy work schedules.
A couple of weeks ago I happen to buy the LG W200 LTE watch at AT&T the day before it got recalled, and well... I am not giving it back!
With that said, my day to day phone is a Blackberry Passport running stock BB 10.3 with Crackberry Forums user "Cobalt232" Google Play Services runtime hack to run Google Play store, my Google Maps and so on on my Blackberry Passport.
I have tried to make headway on that forum, regarding my inability to get 100% functionality between the watch and the phone, both via BT as well as remotely via LTE...
But it seem's that they (CB forum) are more interested in getting CoC to work... rather than focusing more on getting the Android/Blackberry hardware/software interoperability working.. so that ALL apps can work.
So that's why I am moving my conversation, time and developments effort to xda.
As for my tools of the trade, I have:
PC = Viewsonic vPad10 (all flavours of android x86)
Android Phone = Sony Z Ultra 6833 (unlocked, rooted, KK v4.4.4)
Blackberry Phone = Passport SQW100-1 (stock, v10.3.2.2474) (rooted JB 4.3 runtime)
I will be back soon to upload and post all of my findings, in detail... later today.
Thanks for looking!

Android Smart TV

Hello to all.
I am newly subscribed to the XDA site.
I currently live in Thailand, and fortunately do not have any Android phone problems.
I do however have BIG problems with an Android smart TV that I bought here.
(Firmware, OS, ROM etc)
Before I go into long-winded details, does anyone out there have any experience with Android Smart TVs?
Thanks in advance for any contact on this subject.
