I am on my second blue Lumia. The battery life on both has been pathetic. 6-10 hours max, even without touching the phone. And that is on both recent firmware versions.
I am wondering whether to bother exchanging it or just try for a refund.

I'm on second day. Not using it much, 20 min calls, few sms, hour of browsing and board express on wifi. I'm still on 50%.

I will be on my second lumia tomorrow, i have gotten a black one as a replacement instead of the blue one again.
If anyone is having issues what colour of phone do you have? Might be a long shot but you never know.

I haven't battery problems..
My bomb is the Black Lumia 800 unlocked
Mine's pretty good, although I had a brief period where it was absolutely shocking.
Battery was great until the last update. Was getting around 26-30 hours, now getting 14-16 hours.
From factory my Lumia was sketchy (preloaded with 11501). Got battery drain sometimes. Did a factory reset and it hasn't come back yet. Getting good life now. Can make it two days without charge.
My lumia has the latest ROM but the old firmware and the battery till now is pretty good
45- 60 min calls
almost an hour gaming
20 - 30 min browsing
all push notifications on
a lot of apps like whatsapp which requires push is on
still I have almost 30% remaining in the night when i keep it for charging.
I think almost all who has the new firmware is having batterry issues
Yesterday was my first day of full ownership, so I used the phone a fair but but not really heavy. The battery died around 10pm. Bit disappointed, it needs another 10-20%.

First few days the battery isnt as good as it should be. I guess you will get that 20% more in the next few days.

Wouldnt expect it lol, i had mine a week. Battery was shocking at the start. Got better then got really worse.
Just keep an eye on it, thats all i can suggest if your not happy then do what i done, contact your phone provider and get it changed.
i have 1 to 1.5 days of battery with normal usage, few calls, sms, music, browsing, etc. i have the Cyan Version
Today my Lumia barely made it through the day. Unplugged it from charger at 6.14 am now I'm at home from work and I got 10% battery left. Specs:
Country Variant: CV Denmark (514 v. 01)
Color: Cyan
OS: 7.10.8107.79
FW: 1600.2479.7740.11451
Mostly I get really low battery performance, and the phone is most of the day in standby.
got my new black lumia today....currently charging it before using it(had to set it up though)
Battery Status
Charged 65535%
Voltage 4.174 V (this ranges +/- 1)
Current Discharging 14mA

Remaining Charge Capacity 1271mAh
1511mAh !! Do you have the 11500 update?
No i have just plugged my phone into Zune and im updating as i type....

Ok so now that i have done my update here are my stats...
Current Charge Capacity - 1484 mAh
Remaining Charge Capacity - 1240 mAh
Question..........why has this changed via an update?
Thanks for all the info. Really interested in peoples real life experiences.
My first Lumia lasted about 12 hours with my typical usage. My second lasts a little less, maybe 10 hours.
I had an HD7 which on Mango lasted about 20 hours with my usage - but I think its battery was damaged as it did weird things.
I have a TITAN which lasts 30+ hours for me.
I really want the Lumia to work for me though, but how many times can I return it!?
see my only problem is im with vodafone on my contract and the only windows phone they have is the lumia. I could cancel but no point over a phone. I do really hope its a software problem. I would never of expected this from nokia. I shall keep everyone updated anyway. Im testing the hell out this one just now lol

Because that update fixes a battery bug that lets you charge up the phone like 15% more.
Some feedback for you guys...my findings are actually rather shocking to be honest. So last night i left both my iphone 4s and my lumia on standby throughout the night. It was roughly 6Hr 30Mins on standby during this time here are my findings...
Nokia Lumia FW ver 11500 - decreased 20% in that time Battery Capacity - 1412 mAh
iPhone 4s FW Ver 5.0.1 - Decreased 2% in that time. Battery Capacity - 1432 mAh
What the hell is going on with this phone lol.
So in the last few weeks, my standby time has gone down a great deal. I have power efficiency and power saver turned on. All of my accounts are on manual sync and I don't sync them because I am trying to get an idea of what is sucking away my power. My screen brightness is set to 20% and I hardly use my phone for calls during the day as I use my desk phone for that. Wifi and bluetooth are disabled. I really have a love/hate relationship with this phone.
Anyone have any ideas?
I'm actually on the same boat. Just this morning I unplugged it...battery said 100% then 4.5hrs later its down to 17%. The phone was running pretty hot too...I even mentioned it too my wife and she said it was pretty hot. Not doing too much with it while it happened. Just woke up ...poked around on xda and fb. Then took my lil one to the bus stop while taking the dog for a walk..come 11oclock my phone was at 17%....I'm gonna wipe and start all over..hopefully it gets whatever is causing the issues. I usually get a good 10-16 hrs depending on use.

download badass battery from the market, it will tell you everything!
Two days ago my amaze started doing what you describe, battery life from 100% to 10% in about 5 hrs MAX, also the phone was very hot, so I pull out the battery but with no results. I notice that 4g was always downloading data, I verified the running services on the phone and discover the calendar apk was rebooting like crazy...the real problem was peep calendar sync was somehow stuck and after turning it to manual voilá! problem solved, temperature goes down, 4g stopped working and battery stopped draining. hope this help think you may found a solution verifying running services.
My amaze is 100% stock.
What helped my battery life was reducing sync frequency. Coming from a MT4G, I was used to updating work mail every 5 minutes. Changed all my sync timers to 1 hour and my battery life improved from 6 hours (including standby) to over 20 hours. I also disabled wifi increased performance (I had previously enabled it) and used medium brightness. A shame, that last one, because the screen is beautiful at full brightness.
That's weird. I have everything synced and I still get about 6 hours a day of use. Of course not heavy use though.
OK, I installed badass battery. I also turned off the weather widget. I removed my phone from the charger at 730am this morning and at 330pm, my battery is at 95% according to badass battery. I also turned off the wallpaper I was using that was displaying 4 clocks in 4 diffent time zones. I wouldn't have thought that those 2 things would drain the battery like it was.
Like I said........Love/Hate relationship.
I installed screen filter from the market last night and used it to turn off the backlight from the hardware buttons, and I also reduced the sync frequency like someone else said (and turned some useless ones off completely). I unplugged my phone at about 8:50 a.m. this morning. It is now 7:53 p.m., and my battery has only lost 22% of its charge (unheard of for me after 11 hours). Don't know which of those helped more, but my battery life is definitely a lot better.

Wow! I wish I had battery power like that. I was on NRG's ROM but found the battery to be draining pretty fast (~7 hours with moderate use). I installed fourth bar sense last night because of all the positive battery reviews I heard. Removed my charger at 700AM, it is now almost 830AM and I am at 88% with light use (drained too fast for 1.5 hours in minimal use IMO). I am trying to control the syncing and its auto-brightness

That's almost too hard to believe! You don't have Gmail?
Are you rooted and using a custom rom?
Really depends on what's running, live wallpaper will definitely suck the life out of a battery but other apps do as well. I installed an auto loan program once and over the next couple of days my battery life seemed possessed, you could almost watch it drain, 60, 59, 58.... so I uninstalling things and when I got to that it went back to normal. Not sure what causes this, sloppy programming, nefarious evil things, who knows. I never have always connected anything, that's just asking for a kick me. I also use custom roms and that really makes a big impact on the plus side. I get a good full day of pretty heavy use out of my amaze but I also have a spare Anker battery just in case, that to me is cheap insurance especially on the road.

I am not sure how that is possible as I wouldn't think the soft key lighting would suck much battery life, not to mention I use that app and get no where near those hours. I know sync will increase it, but that much? Got a screen shot of this claim?
Even in stand by mode, the battery drops more than 30% for me in 8 hours if I forget to charge it overnight.

So I got my GS3 in the mail last night, overnight shipping is an amazing thing. The phone looks and feels great, I'm very pleased with it in all ways imaginable but one....my battery is dropping power like theres no tomorrow.
I left my device to do a full charge over night. Unplugged it when I left for work at 7:45am. It is now 9:35am and my battery went from 100% to 83% with the majority of that time spent in sleep mode. The built in battery monitor was showing my display taking 71% of my battery power....thats insane. I got it so late last night that all I had time to do was setup my sim card and configure the phone with my personal data. I haven't even installed anything yet. All screens are still factory default.
I'm at work currently and just did a full factory reset. Battery usage on display now shows 53% and increasing. I have dropped brightness to nothing and still the display is leeching power. At this point I don't know what to do.

And yea, I understand I may have got my hands on a (hopefully) rare bad battery. But the display usage seems extreme to me. I suppose that'll be adjusted with calibration though?
Sorry for my noobiness. Prior to receiving this SG3 I was an Iphone4 user with an Asus Transformer TF101 tablet. Got the tablet after the iphone to experience the android OS for the first time, which is what led me to exchange my iphone for a SG3. I have some working knowledge of Android, but strictly from a tablet perspective.
To my knowledge battery calibration on this device is the same as the S2....which means calibration apps a deleting battery stats does not work. The best calibration you can do at that point is to pull the battery for like five minutes and then put it back in.

Yes I use wifi. I have little to no use for data plans, so I typically buy my cell phone at full price to eliminate high monthly fees (canada data rates are retarded), and ensure I'm not locked into a contract.
So yes, I always run wifi so when I'm at a location with wifi I get some added functionality.
On or off however, the affect on the drain is not even noticeable.
I'm still continuing my phone charge to 100%. This time I'm using a power outlet rather than a computer usb port. We'll see if things are any different when its done. Currently at 98% and charging.
Well the battery showed 100% at 10:53
Pulled battery and put back in at 10:58
By 11:01 battery% dropped to 98%
Guess all I can do now is try and drain the battery completely and then try another full charge.
edit:
11:25 battery is now 95%

I knew you were using wifi. Look at my topic a little bit below yours. It's called the "Battery Drain almost solved."
It's wifi that is killing your battery. Have it set to turn off when it enters deep sleep. The WiFi is not regulating it's power draw. When your phone sleep wifi stays on like you are downloading something when it should be turning off and sleeping as well.
I'm trying to make this more widely known so Samsung can fix it.
I did see that post before starting my own, which is why I turned wifi off completely to test my own battery issues before posting. But I saw no difference in battery performance. And the display usage still showed 60-70% use of the battery, even with brightness turned low and the screen spending most of its time in sleep
edit:
sigh, now the phone is making look the fool because I decided to test again with wifi turned off and I'm noticing a slight improvement in battery longevity. Display usage still shows a scary 55% of usage even it the screen remains off 90% of the time and I just wake it up to view current battery stats

Hello! I've been using smartphone for the part two years and I had started with Xperia X8 which doesn't seems have a good battery life and change to Samsung Young. Last month, I decided to go back to Sony and purchased Xperia Ray. I must say it amazed me for it's standard and good battery life, but the past few days I had trouble with it's battery.
Every night before I went to bed, I would often let my Ray charged until the next morning. As usual, I would wake up and go to school with my phone turned off throughout the school session. When I got home, as I turned my phone on, I noticed that my battery has sucked up to 80%, which I am totally aware that I had charged my phone to 100% before, and I charged it when the phone is off.
As for my typical use, I tend to have moderate usage on the internet using the data connection as my phone cannot connect to the WEP wireless in my home. As for game, I could say I spent 2 hours per day. I rarely use my phone for SMS or call. And the phone sometimes gets very warm too.
As for other program that I use, I only have GO Launcher. I also have problem where my display is constantly on 80%> even I had disable most display setting. I will post screenshots later for your better understanding.

Hmm... Battery discharging even when phone is off.... Do one thing. .. Recharge the phone full and remove the battery for couple of hours out of the phone.... Then put the battery back in and see the %... If it's again low , then you might want to replace it with a new one... If it's 98-96% then this means your phone is eating battery even when switched off ( which is not possible ) ... Alternatively you can run battery health test by antutu..

Just read this and thanks for your suggestion. I will check upon this method first. As for the antutu app, I will get the battery tested after your first suggestion. FYI, on other app "Battery Monitor Widget" it stated that my Li-Po are in good state cut there's no harm in trying.
Maybe you should charge your phone up to 100% then wipe your battery stats in cmw.

First charge your battery 100% then enter to CWM and Wipe battery stats.
If it wouldn't solved, just flash and use an another rom.

Well, you are right. The battery and the phone are not the problem. I've charged it to 100% and unplugged its battery for 5 hours and when I plugged it in, it still 100%. But still, the battery indicated that it reached 88% after 25 minutes. It's quite bugging me because I noticed that my usual usage to 90% practically takes 30 minutes. Haven't use antutu yet though as I don't know how it actually worked.

I don't think that wiping the battery status won't change a thing but it might calibrated its stats. I think I won't be requiring those as when I flashed my phone a week after I bought it, the battery stats are still relatively same.
I'm still open for any suggestion as I still think that my last resort would be factory reset the phone.

It's been almost a week I changed my Verge with a brand new 47mm Amazfit GTR.
I was so happy to have something with long lasting battery like a Bip (which I still have), but more elegant than it or a Verge.
But now comes the problems, the battery consumption is 20% per day and I can't fix the GPS.
Now someone told it's because the AGPS in the SmartWatch is stuck and I should force updating the AGPS from the phone.
Honestly I don't know, but I'm really disappointed.
Can you guys help me?
Have you tried resetting? When I set mine up it was stuck missing and update of one if the libs and the app wouldn't resume the update.
Try factory reset

Amazfit GTR 47mm battery drain
Hi, I received Amazfit GTR week ago and since then I noticed extremely short battery life. I'm not using any gps, just notifications and battery last barely 5 days losing about 20% per day. Also I tried shutting down the watch with around 70% of battery and after 24 hours I tried to switch it on and the battery was completely empty! I tried factory reset, didn't help. I really like the watch but this is not ok since manufacturer stated battery life up to 24 days. Could it be ROM or battery damage?
Same with me. Losing more than 10 percent a day (24h) without GPS, heart rate, notifications. Reset didn't help. Hopefully just a Firmware issue.
The last 24h even needed 24 percent of battery...

I'm more and more convinced that the battery is damaged or some other hardware problem related to battery.
If the battery drains fast after a couple of factory resets and full charges (let the watch charging for about 45min more after it shows 100%) using default the configuration, then probably it is damaged. I would claim warranty ASAP...
Amazfit Support told me to make a Support Ticket in the amazfit app, so they get the watch log. And Also i should claim warranty. They said if you turn off Bluetooth, use the Stock watch face and activate do not disturbe the Power consumption should He around 2 percent in 24h (starting with 100 percent).
Mine lost so far 4 percent in only 8h.
I raised ticket to gearbest for replacement or refund since battery life was horrible, 30% in 12h usage, notifications on only! Today they offered me a free exchange or full refund. I chose free exchange of watch.
I also had problems with battery drain. I tested it with a charge meter, so can tell a full charge would put about 400mah in the battery.
I did it between a couple of factory resets...
The problem is it's discharing about 15-20% per 24h with no use, just time and some notifications. In nitght it's loosing 6% resting unused, with saver mode.
I think it's not a hardware problem but a firmware problem (for global model users) because I don't think such a lot of watches could be shipped broken...
Hope Huami realease and update in a couple of days or I will also have to return mine.....

I doubt it's a firmware issue since battery draining happens even when the watch is powered off. I lost 70% battery in 24h with watch completely powered off! Returned to gearbest yesterday and waiting for free replacement.
Best regards.

I haven't noticed that....I will test it tonight. It could be a hardware fault then.
In the other hand, I had similar problems with a Tablet (not Xiaomi); with 2 identical tablets, with different roms, one drains battery when powered off and the other don't. So, in some devices, the "power off" function is relative, it could be a firmware failure at the end, maybe not disabling some hardware, like the GPS module.
Please told us if you get similar draining when you got new one.

Yeah, could be. I found thread on reddit with same problems, people complaining battery not lasting as intended. On the other hand, others reported excellent battery life with global same firmware.
We'll see after receiving new one.
Best regards.

Can you share serial number of your watch? It's on the back side of the watch.
