Because i see a lot of confusion about update of Huawei Mate 20 Pro i will post How to update the Mate with Locked bootloader:
First Make a Backup all data will be deleted and you will start fresh!!!!!!!
After that download this firmware for EU LYA-L29 C432: https://androidhost.ru/T83
If you have LYA-L09 :https://androidhost.ru/T82
After That extract the firmware and put in a usb stick ( no need to creat dload folder already exist in unzipped folder)
Mount an otg usb to your phone then the usb drive
Then dial in phone *#*#2846579#*#* and go to Software Update and then select usb upgrade.
Have a nice upgrade!!!!

make a try and you will see....there will be no problem...just it will not make the update if it is not compatible

Honestly mate. Invest in a nano SD card and you won't regret it. Super fast, plus backup to external SD. This method is great and although you wipe the phone you can restore in around 10 minutes.

hi there all - new to the archos sphere with a new archos 70. have experience with flashing android on my orange san francisco but things seems to be different here.
i have installed 1.5 and it works fine but now not sure if i upgrade to 1.5.1 or use 1.6rc2 update straight over 1.5 or do i need a full fresh install of 1.6rc2...
also bought one of the cheap and nasty case plus keyboard from amazon. and a cheap micro usb converter to standard female USB A. tried to connect the keyboard but nothing works (the keyboard works if i connect it to a pc...) not sure if i need to do something in settings or maybe i need special converter - any ideas?

You need an OTG Adapter with Micro A so that the Archos goes into HostMode.
The Nokia ca-157 is known to be working.

hey, i've come up from a san fran too - original OLED and tatty as hell now but still going strong!
if i remember rightly i put 1.5 on then 1.6rc2 over the top. 1.6rc2 is an upgrade as the file size is much smaller than the full 1.5. it works fine for me...apart from i get the white screen wake-up if i have network shares turned on in wifi options.
what are the steps for updating from 1.5 to 1.6cr2? Would someone be so kind to list them out as I tried to update but it keep booting up normal and won't let me connect to the tablet to send the update file.
After download the update file, put it somewhere in ur SDcard, then use root explorer to put it directly in /data/uruk update then wait until the update is finish and enjoy

and use urukconfig to 'force update' - at least that what worked for me in the end
huh, its really strange. I did the above with the update file but when I shut it down it just boot back to Urukdroid without doing anything. Is the path /data/UrukUpdate or /data/urukupdate? Also do I have to rename the update file? Also, is there just a 1.6c2 install file instead of installing the 1.5 then having to update it? I tried many times but it doesn't seem to recognize the update file. Any suggestions?

I did go into urukconfig but I don't see a force update button. I push the update button but it show no file available to update. I don't know if its my path name that is wrong or that I have to rename the update file? I would hate to have to redo the whole thing as it would be pretty time consuming~_~

I did but it just wont update. I guess I have to reflash the stock and start over again. I really don't know why this is so. Its usually a very easy flash update and I have flash many phone and tablet before but this is the first time that I had so many problem with this~_~.

The kernel/initramfs are already included in the update file (UrukDroid-1.6RC2-update.tbz2). Both will be updated during the process.

Hey guys. Some time ago my gf start getting strage errors and today MediaPad stop working at all.
When im trying to unlock device, it shows me "Integrated Test stop working", even if im pressing ok, like second after it pops again and again. So i cant even reset it via settings. I was trying to get in to recovery menu, but it doest work also. Shows me some strage error about sdcard. "sdcard update failed". Not sure why it is like that.
MediaPad is not rooted. Im looking for some solution how to make that "integrated test stop working" error dissapear.

look if you have on SD Card some update files (zip with some other rom, folder "dload" with update.app in, etc..) if yes, delete it and try to reboot your device.
If this not help, try to find via searchbar on official huawei sites for "s10-201l firmware" ... not sure why, but its not listed directly in downloads for this device... C232B003
Download and unpack it to sdcard (whole Dload folder) and restart device... it should to flash stock rom... (i'm curently trying to edit this rom with cyanogen )

This value is set by the init."device".rc using the ro.serialno variable. This is sometimes set via the kernel command line , other will read from another value and place value in this variable
look for
write /sys/class/android_usb/android0/iSerial ${ro.serialno}

To keep long story short, I'm on Windows 10 Pro x64 (Windows 8/8.1 may have the same problem too) with latest updates & I'm trying to upgrade and root my Sony Z Ultra to the latest Lollipop 5.1.1, before doing so I wish to back up my original TA just in case something goes wrong...
Well everything goes fine backing up the TA, until I try to perform a [restore dry-run] to test the backup copy of the TA, where this error comes in(same error will popup even with actual restore):
find.exe - Entry Point Not Found Error
My experience for this kinda error is cause by missing dependent DLL libraries in order for the find.exe to run properly.
So the answer to the problem/error:
1. Find (Google it) and download 32bit version of these DLLs:
- kernel32.dll
- msvcrt.dll
- ntdll.dll
- ulib.dll
2. Extract all the above mention DLLs to "Backup-TA-9.11\tools" folder where find.exe is located, and try to run the batch file again, the problem should be solved.

PS: its a huawei mate 10 pro (so no external SDcard anyway)

I don't think we can update through that anyway. You can use System Update, Firmware Finder (if firmware is approved), HWOTA (requires unlocked bootloader), HuRUpdater (requires TWRP). There are paid ways too, but I won't list them.

I'm trying to downgrade my P20 lite to a lower firmware because dc-unlocker is not working with the last one and I need to unlock my bootloader.
I've no idea if what I am trying to do is even possible, if it is not please stop me!
My model is ANE-LX1C432 (dual sim)
I downloaded an old firmware using the Firmware Finder, it the FullOTA-MF - 8.0.0.111
Here is the first question: I see 4 files, which one do I have to flash?
update.zip
update_data_full_public.zip
update_full_ANE-L21_hw_eu.zip
update_full_ANE-L01_hw_eu.zip
According to here the dual sim model is ANE-L21 but the firmware in that package is only ~117MB so I thing the right one is the one in the update.zip package
Second question: How do I flash it? I tried to open the zip file and put UPDATE.APP file in X:\dload\UPDATE.APP where X is the sd card but the updater says "Software install failed, Get help from http:/www.emui.com/emitiondownlad.php?mod=restore
I managed to open the UPDATE.APP file using HuaweiUpdateExtractor and got system.img and recovery.img and I could try to flash these but I'd love if somebody explains me how to do it

if you can enter in enginering setings, then you dont need to be problems to unlock bootloader with dc-unlocker (dont forgot, its 4 credits which you need to buy to be able to unlokc)

I already went there and I already bought the credits but I've been told that the tool does not support the last firmware due to some new security measures

I've been trying for 2 days, it seems that the packages from Firmware Finder did not have the right filenames and also made mistakes while putting them on the memory card.
anyway the package from that site worked and i was able to obtain the code!!!

I just copy-pasted the content of the Software package exactly lite it came with the package

The files from the firmware finder had other names and i found no indication that i had to create any subfolder
Again I'm quite new to the android world so I do not exclude I missed something basic there.
