please help me. I tried to downgrade from9.0.0.162 c462 to emui 8.1 and my phone bricked .There was an erreor during flashiing. That wasnt my first time flashing this phone. . If i connect to PC only fastboot on multitool. It recognized it as Fastboot COL-L29.The screen is totally black. Could someone help me? I have no idea to unbrick it
You could try the erecovery or the dload for the exact same firmware you were on. You should've searched on this because downgrade from EMUI 9 to EMUI 8 not advisable and many bricked their phone. Try above, if no success, let me know
Erecovery do not work. For dload as I know i should have to have otg cable yes?

You can try dload with sd card as well.
but honor 10 have only sim cards?? no sd card slot

How did you try to downgrade in the first place?
By using hisuite or by any other method?
I was used hupdater before and ewerything was ok. Yesterday i tried this method and flashing was failed. Now only Multitool show fastboot col-l29. Only red led blinking.

Which build of emui 8 did you flash. You must have tried hisuite downgrade method.
Jest but only multitool recognize my phone. In multitool there is only info aout version of android bootloader unlockerd but no imei. Hisuite can not recognize it. It start when i connect phone to pc but that all. I do not know what i can do more

You didn't answer what build you flashed?
It might be due to different xloader version?

151 has two variants one is normal update and other is downgrade package. Which did you use?
There is one thread by me about hard bricks info in H10 forum check that thread and cross verify the xloaders .
What is exact position of your device?
Does fastboot work?
Erecovery work?
Hi that was probably downgrade package full. Now my phone only turn on in fastboot. Erecovery do not work screen is only black. Could you give me link to the thread with unbricking phone?

Use dload method. Check one in my signature. Download the firmware for your model and proceed. Charge the phone for 1 hour and proceed for this.

i don't have Huawei recovery installed as I had twrp before so it wort turn on to anything on screen when pressing 3 buttons

No need of Huawei recovery. It should do it automatically with full firmware.
Or you can flash manually.

Try dload from androidhost.ru (change language at bottom)
Are you on Oreo?
If so pick C432B330
Instructions are found in the Documents folder in the zip
I've reached my max download today so can't download and check it, you may need a USB-C to USB-A female OTG cable if Mate 10 Lite doesn't have a mSD slot.
There's also Nougat firmware if you're still on nougat.
Dload don't work on mate 10 lite c4320 but I will try it tomorrow

Dload needs dload firmware (if you haven't tested with dload firmware). It doesn't work by downloading any fw from FF and extracting update.app and placing it in the dload folder, PACKAGE_TYPE.IMG in UPDATE.app needs to contain OFFLINE or SD_UPDATE. If it says ONLINE it will only flash using System Update or eRecovery.
But if you have already tried with dload firmware there's always FH....
I tried with an dload folder with firmwares in it but I will try it tomorrow again maybe I did something wrong I don't know I'm desperate

You could try eRecovery and Download Latest, else your only option left would be FunkyHuawei
Also, does your phone have an Micro SD slot? If not you will probably need to use OTG and a memory stick/mSD adapter for dload. It should say in the dload instructions if it uses OTG.
I used my sdcart for dload still at 5% nothing more
FH is way to much for a semi bricked phone
And probably don't work cause June patch is applied

But it does actually say it failed with androidhost.ru dload? For me it was stuck on 5% for 7 minutes or so before continuing, this was using July patches (Mate 10 Pro, B148-SP1).
I know, but if nothing else works you'll provably have to use it. I wouldn't unless it was the last resort
No still it stucks at 5% then says error
I even tried with DNS and erecovery but it don't work
If read alot online that the dload method on c432 with July patch get disabled and this is like a kick in the nuts cause it can't be fixed easy
Hello.
I was trying to install a treble rom on my p20 lite and suddenly after flashing i needed to flash stock recovery to make the stock wipes.
I did.
The rom started but with no keyboard. I couldnt pass google part to get to the rom menu.
Ok.
I decided to flash it again.
I did. But this time, the rom never started and i was with stock erecovery, so couldnt flash again.
I went to flash twrp but FRP is LOCKed. Bootloader unlocked, obviously. And bc of that i cant flash ANYTHING.
Tried to flash system, twrp, anything. I cant. Says FRP lock.
Tried to lock bootloader and relock again: I cant. It says it needs to unlock FRP before.
Tried DC PHOENIX, didn't work on my p20.
Scrolled all google and xda for help, nothing.
Tried erecovery stock rom installation. It downloads the files but never installs, i've spent 5 hours waiting for it to go off the 0%. Nothing happens.
Already made erecovery wipe data/cache. Nothing.
Can someone please help me?

Do you have bootloader "unlocked" or "locked" right now?
FRP is locked so no changes possible yup.
If you have your bootloader "locked" not "relocked" you have warranty and you can send it to a customer repair center and they can solve it for you.
With the methods we know it's pretty much impossible, altough try this via fastboot command line:
fastboot erase config
then
fastboot reboot
If this does not do it then try with DC-Unlocker software via this link https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-android-phone-frp-unlock

I tried for like 10 times already to install the firmware from erecovery but it refuses to leave the 0% when installing... Ive waited more than 5 hours already.

Dc also didnt worked for me, i think it doesnt support my phone model?
Bc i can't find it in the list of phone model in the software also tried with similar and doesnt work.
My bootloader is unlocked, i guess warranty wont solve my problem bc of that :crying:

He/She does need a micro sd card adapter for that to connect to the pc or use it on another phone and then copy the files.

As i see, the only thing i didnt do from the official guide is this part:
"Finally, enter to the project menu from dialer typing *#*#2846579#*#* ==> Software Upgrade ==> SdCard Upgrade."
That i cant do cause my phone is systemless and i cant turn it on to use dialer :crying:

It should work though did you put the dload folder into the root your sd card and then power on button + Volume buttons at the same time while powering on?

This is really weird... This one should work... Did you download the right version of your build? example: 8.0.0.162(C432)
And try to find the latest version of your build and via your model example: ANE-LX1 which is on the back of the phone with small letters or on the box

Remote instructions are not the best for these problems, so try to get a person on your country which knows some stuff and can help you out there
Hi All. I'm afraid my Honor 10 is permanently dead but I'm looking for a solution to "exhume" it.
I had latest firmware installed, 9.0.0.219 (C636), but after I installed it, I observed some ghost touches and application lags so I wanted to install the Pixel Experience custom rom. To install this rom it needs not to be on Emui 9, so I used beta-downy_04 to rollback to latest oreo 8.1 fimware (COL-L29C636B153 8.1.0.153). All good until an error appears while flashing the firmware, "Software fimware failed"..Then a message appeared that suggested me to reboot or select eRecovery. I chose eRecovery but nothing. It won't to turn on. I tried to force reboot with Vol-Up and powe for more than 30 seconds, no responses. I tried to use Multi-tool because if I connect Honor 10 to pc it is recognised as fastboot device, so I tried to unbrick it flashing system, cust, kernel and recovery_ramdisk images, but nothing. So Am I finished? Can someone help me? Thanks :crying:
Sorry to hear that man. I noticed that after .219 update HiSuite doesn't get rollback firmwares from HiCloud anymore. Is that the reason why you tried the method above?
I tested rollback request with .212 in HiSuite and it successfully sent me the rollback data which is 219870 ID (not 206629 or 186881). Since Huawei device names change it's kinda tricky to force stuff into the phone.

Hi. Thanks for your answer. Yes, I tried to rollback with beta-downy program because I wanted to flash a custom rom and I needed android 8.1 to do that.
Unfortunately I flashed a firmware COL-L29 8.1.0.153(C636) with ID 186881 because it has three files and beta-downy program works only if update.zip, update_all_hw.zip and update_data_public.zip files are present in ZIP-HERE folder and firmware with ID 219870 has only two files...
At this moment Honor 10 is fully dead. I can't access to bootloader mode but if I connect it to pc and I use adb, I seem to be able to use fastboot but I don't know if It really flashed something. So I can only use fastboot ( and I flashed all needed files of latest firmware installed, version .219) but it is useless at this time because Honor 10 appears dead, it won't charge. Sometimes seven red blinding appear when I try to force reboot pressing and holding power on and Vol-up buttons.... I tried to remove battery also, then to plugin the charge and holding power button for 30 seconds and then to insert the battery again but nothing. No charge and no power on... I have no idea what I must to do...
Someone alive???
Why you can't access bootloader?
Did you try to plug in charger while pressing vol down button?

Same happened to me so i bought new phone, luuckly i bought phone that broke with "found" money. Go to nearest repair center and say you left phone plugged overnight to update, tomorrow you came and it was dead. They will repair it for free if it had guarantee.

Same problem here...but i don't know if DC-Unlocker is compatible with this device. My concern is pay for service and not works. My device is in testpoint mode, but i can't find flash tool and board firmware for this version (COL-L29), variant C636 (spcseas) and bootloader lock for more help...

There is a method known as test point method where you short two ports and flash service firmware. And later you flash full firmware.
Search Huawei p20 forums for details. Try to find them and share the links you got then I will guide you what next.

I bought Chinese ****, i tried everything, i paid 30 bucks for code from one asshole, than i thought i hardbricked my device, i went to service, they said the motherboard was burnt, i lied that i left device update overnight xD, because bricking voids warranty. They said they dont support chineese guarante because we are Eu, so i sent my **** back to bang**** banggood. Com scammers. Than year i waited and they sent me refund 100 dolars, i paid 450 bucks, luckly i bought it with my grampa credit card so lol i got 100 bucks free xD ans i bought iFix it kit. So i recommend you to buy unlock code, and if you know what you are doing, you can successfully rebrand it, il send you one link, that helped me a lot. But it was t9o late, and i was stupid. I was curious and i flashed my phone with upgrade file, i didnt flash it with full ota., so basically idfk what did i do xD. So i probably wiped end to end and it removed power supply unit settings and full power from battery destroyed my cpu. Sooooo good luck and find something cheap or just try to get free code from funky huawei, they can help you rebrand, better pay 50bucks than loose 400 bucks

And i just noticed your device is dead. Okay idk are u familiar with those processes.
Extract boot.img file from firmware, (firmware extractor) by huawei. Than open adb, and do flash boot boot. Img, flash recovery recovery.img and thst
So my phone just got stuck while normal usage. Tried restarting and the phone began boot looping.
Did plenty of research and finally decided to flash. Tried to flash using mi flash in fastboot mode but failed then google search made me realise my bootloader was locked. Did more research and decided to flash using test point EDL method.
Things went pretty well and the flash (miui v8) and the process became successful and when I powered my device the phone went back to boot loop again.
Tried flashing again and the result was the same.
It would be really helpful if somebody could actually help clear the issue. Did pretty much everything I could do as a newbie to flashing.

There are 2 varients of rn4 one is mediatek(note 4x) and the other is Snapdragon so check if u flashed right firmware

No, I have flashed the correct file(Mido) and the flashing process went quite well but the problem still exists.

How is ur phone being recognised in mi flash tool?
A serial number appears or something else like "com_port" appears?

It's recognised as COM4 the first time I tried then sometimes when I connect it shows COM3.

If it recognises ur phone like that then flashing does nothing to ur phone so the only way is to go into edl mode and then flashing

Use this tool to go into edl mode and then flash
This thread can help ,because i bricked my phone once without unlocking the bootloader and the miflashtool recognised my phone like how it recognised urs and this thread saved my phone
