Hello. My Amlogic S805 is broken. I mean, Android is broken and I want to wipe this one.
I would like to install either Android 4.4 or Android 5. Even Android 6 or 7 is great but I don't know can I do it on this board.
It's 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM.
It's constantly crashing, not all apps but Google apps the most. And especially Google Play Services.
I need someone to help me where I can download Android, Amlogic software for installing OS, program for making bootable SD Card or whatever software is needed to make SD Card bootable.
Also I have to mention that this Amlogic have no Android Recovery Mode at all. Reset button is just resetting Android which just crash again after some time when I install/update apps thru time.
I guess I will also need TWRP but again, if Reset button just resets my device how then I can make TRWP appear in order to wipe this broken one and install new one while prepared SD Card is inserted?
I will atach photo as well. SD Card slot is on other side by the way.

Hey guys, figured this would be a good place to ask. I got this mirror off ebay:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/5-Android-4-...Monitors_Cams_Kits&hash=item2c87701b25&_uhb=1
It's pretty neat, but it has a pretty modified version of 4.0.4 and it's kind of a pain to get around some limitations. Maybe someone with more knowledge can guide me a bit:
1) I managed to root it and install gapps which work
2) i figured out how to get into recovery, but no volume buttons so all i can do is select reset
3) i can use ADB and connect it to my computer
Issues:
- i would like to install clockwork touch, but since it was never developed for it, i seem to be SOL.
- it has 8GB internal memory, but something is off, the "system partition" is 250mb and seems to be the only partition the OS thinks as of internal. Oddly enough the other 6GB also show up as internal in storage, but apps will install by default to the 250 partition, which limits me quite a bit. Connecting to the computer will lead to the 6GB partition. I don't get it. Moving apps to the 6gb partition shows them as "on sd". It has a micro sd slot which shows it as "sd"
- i cant for the life of me change the default launcher which is made by them and garbage
If anyone has some ideas, shoot. First thing would be figuring out a way to backup and restore, without that, i don't have much courage to mess too much with it.
Thanks for reading!
any news about this one ??
can you install any rom on it ?
Hello there,
I have a M3964 tablet.
I installed Boot Manager menu without knowing that the application was inconsistent.
I thought that this application could allow me to do a dual boot on the shelf but I misconfigured.
My tablet is root but has no rom memory (I can not install any application because the rom memory is 0 octects) except app2sd compatible application.
And when I restart the tablet, it makes a hard reset itself which deletes my configurations.
I wanted to reinstall the system via software but the pc does not detect the tablet.
In fact, it is because I misconfigured Boot Manager menu, I wanted to test a dual boot system with no rom memory, Roote, and hard reset option at startup (I clicked on anything therefore, these 3 options).
As my tablet is not compatible dual boot, the tablet starts on the misconfigured system.
I research how to solve my problem or at least disable the hard reset automatically at startup and change the ROM memory (no internal memory, just the ROM memory) by the memory of my sd card (detected as ext-sd ).
Sorry for my bad English
Thank you in advance to those who can help me.
I'm using the Samsung Tab S2 (SM-T710 variant) and I've been testing out the SD card encryption feature.
When I've encrypted the SD (Transend 32GB) card, I get confirmation it's been encrypted. I see the progress bar etc as it encrypts the files on the card.
But, if I put the card in a card reader and connect it to my PC, all the files on the card are visible and editable.
If I put the card in my Note 4, it thinks the card is encrypted.
The tablet is rooted stock ROM 6.01 MM, with Xposed and other Mods installed.
But, even disabling them and rebooting doesn't help.
And I've re-flashed the "clean install" backup I created when I first installed Marshmallow n the tablet.
Does encryption only work in Android's own little world or should it be secure on all platforms?
If Android's encryption is useless, can anyone recommend any 3rd party software that works, either on Android or with Android/PC? (I've tried "Eds" in the past on a Fuse enabled custom ROM, with TrueCrypt/Veracrypt and it doesn't work for me).
Thank you
Very interesting. Did you try to update your android version ?
Did you find any solution to your problem ?

Thanks for the reply.
I don't think there's been an update from 6.01 for the Tab S2, if there has been, I've not updated.
No, I gave up on the idea. I couldn't get it to work at all and I couldn't find any 3rd party software either.
Well, this is a huge drawback...
I am having a very similar problem. I got a Galaxy Note 3. I went through the process of encrypting it - it didn't boot after that. Then I decided to install this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...hwiz-marshmallow-note-3-t3349306/post69109669
It managed to encrypt the phone, but the part for encrypting the SD card is simply not there. I don't see a three-dots menu from where I can choose if to join the SD card to the internal storage or not. I choose to format the card. It says it'll make it secure, but actually it only puts a few Android folders and on another phone I can see, read and play a file which I've put there!
This is really embarrassing, I've been fighting with encryption for 1 week!
Also, I tried to find a software, which would do that. EDS sounds promising, but when I launch it, it just hangs
How can the quality of software be sooooo poor! I'm very very disappointed
I will now try another ROM(s)
Hi- I have a Chuwi Hi 10 dual OS (Win10/Android 5.1) tablet. It has 64 GB of memory, but only about 1/4 of that is allocated for the Android partition. I had hoped to find a way to change the partition size so that about half was available to each OS, but haven't found a way yet.
I am now running into the situation where I am getting low storage capacity messages. I have a 128GB micro SD card installed, but it seems unable to use it. Is there a way to allow the use of that space, as other versions of Android (and variations) allow? Preferably, I would like to do it such that I won't lose everything currently on the tablet, but I can back up data files if necessary (such as for rooting?)
Thank you for any assistance.
Bob
Kind of late to help but I just went through this process. Hopefully this will help someone else at the least save some time searching around various forums. I and am currently in final steps of moving existing apps to SD card via the process below:
Unlock bootloader
Install Custom recovery (I suggest TWRP)
Install SU (the device is now rooted)
Install Apps2SD and partition the SD card as you wish, making ext4(ext3) the file system for the partition you want to install apps on > reboot.
Link apps to SD card in Apps2SD (there is multiselect in the menu)
Backup data and download stock OS, firmware, etc > http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-2341-1-1.html (this link is for the Hi10pro. There are other threads with downloads for other models link Hi10 plus, etc in that same forum)

I bought a cheap phone to use when I travel to "dangerous" places. The phone is:
BLU Grand Energy
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
Mediatek MT6580
Mali-400MP2
The issue is that it only has 8GB internal storage, which is almost full with System + apps that can't be moved to SD Card. So I inserted a SD Card to get more storage. It was all great and fun, until I noticed that after every update the apps on the SD Card goes back to internal storage and I lose all my sessions/credentials, having to transfer them back to SD Card one by one and re-login in all of the apps. This is ridiculous and I can't continue with that. So I decided to root the device, but I couldn't find any tutorial specific for this phone.
Basically, I just want to root the device to properly install the apps on the SD Card and avoid this ridiculous "back and forth", I won't be tweaking with anything else as this isn't even my main phone. Is there a ELI5 (Explain Like I'm Five) tutorial for that? I've read that I first need to flash a Custom Recovery, so I can do a dump of the boot image, then I alter this image with Magisk and flash it back in.
Right now, I'm stuck on "flash a Custom Recovery" following this XDA tutorial, it was all good until step 3 said that "Now you have all the basics to get started, so you’ll want to find the specific instructions for how to flash the recovery on your phone. Check your device’s XDA forum for more info.", the problem is that no one mentions my phone anywhere, it seems I'm the only one who bought this thing. Also, the tutorial said that I need a Rooted Android Device to install a custom recovery, but I need a custom recovery to root, this is a loophole, a nightmare
Can anyone help me with CLEAR instructions?
