Lately this update has been popping up to install, i just can't track where it comes from, my phone is in English and i don't have any app with that name, is there any one who can help out here?

I just don't know how to add or attach the image here, i already have the print screen, but i don't see an option to attach it, and since i am new here it doesn't let me to put a link :S
The update pop up appears as Huawei Updates appear, grey window pop up on bottom screen

I copied the Chinese word you posted and pasted it into the Translate app and the output was "Intelligent search". Maybe this is referring to the search bar that emerges if you swipe down when you are in the home screen.
I tried translating in an app here at work and it came back as "Wisdom Search" so probably is HiSearch.

It is just weird the update coming in Chinese :S, since everything on the phone is in English, i didn't bought it abroad, and normally all the updates come in English. But next time it will pop up i will install it and i will post what happens.

Hello fellow note 2 owners. I noticed that some non-samsung and non-google apps such as facebook and twitter appear in the multiwindow list. Did anyone find any other third party apps working there as well ?

my note 2 is wierd
my note2 has that additional bar popping up when i press the back key but still when ever i run an app from there, there is no split screen app, the app runs fullscreen and stays that way .... don't know what's wrong ??

drag the app to screen, the first one will take full screen but when drag (not click only, drag and drop) any other apps well split the screen.
or
press 'edit' button, the screen will split then you can select the apps.
how to disable it ? the slide thing is appearing everywhere how do i remove it ?

Looks like your friend installed an app which uses ads for its income. These kinda apps create the shortcuts like "Apps 4 Free!"...
By clicking on these apps the developer of the app gets paid. So just remove the app that you installed just before you start seeing this shortcut.
Btw just deleting the shortcut will be enough.

Xda Members Should not Ask for someone to "click the thanks button" or donate.... you just put shame on yourself.
Simple module this, removes the "Downloaded Only" bar from the top of Play Music, which can be annoying when you're offline and turn it on to avoid greyed out albums and unplayable songs
Doesn't remove the drawer option, so you can still turn it off there.

This no longer works on the latest version (5.8).
Updated for material version (sorry for the delay), I'm pretty sure it will still work on Android 2.3 but am not totally sure, if anyone can test that would be great

It doesn't remove that bar. It removes the banner you get when it's turned on.
Grey Bar on bottom of screen
Hey man, love your module! But there is one thing that is kind of annoying me, after turning on Download Only mode, a grey bar appears at the bottom of the screen, assumingly the same size as the removed "Download Only" banner. Don't know if this is replicated on every device but it is on mine.
Thank you for this fantastic module! I was just wondering if there are any plans to also remove the "Get Unlimited Music" banner that was added in the latest update. Thanks

I"ve searched in the search box but it didn't show the result. I have upgraded my Xperia Z2 to firmware 23.5.A.1.291. When I press the Google Maps app. It asks me to allow that app permission. I press allow. The next box appears like like "Screen Overlay Detected" the attached pix

And when I tap "Open Settings" it leads me to a list of apps. From there I don't know what to do next, because, when I tap the Google Maps app in the list It leads me to App Permissions like: Contact, Location, Phone, Storage. I tap "Location", it doesn't turn green, but the box "Screen Overlay Detected" appears again. Please help. I don't know what to do.

If you don't use Xposed you have to force stop or kill app which draw overlay on screen such as messenger chathead, Lux. Before you grant permission for new app
Sorry for my English though.
If you're using an app that control brightness, like flux, or something that adds a colour filter like CF.lumen, that is your culprit, but you need to be very careful because this overlay warning is there to protect you from apps hijacking your clicks, so be careful.
I also faced the same issue of screen overlay, then I disabled all screen overlay app and then enable it one by one and then keep checking if permission is working or not, in this way I found 3 apps to be held culprit. Thats because of May security patch in 291 firmware, i did upgrade 1 app among those 3 culprit and it start behaving normally. So what I did is I mailed the other 2 guys about the issue, so that they too update their apps.

I updated my Honor 5X to Android 6.0.1 and now when I pinch with 3 fingers on the home screen I don't get the thumbnails.
It doesn't do anything. Is this a Marshmallow problem / EMUI 4.0 modification? Can anybody confirm? Thank you.

It goes for Hidden apps on pinch zoom in Home screen. any other specific thing applicable for 3 pinch zoom?
