Hey guys.. Plz help me out here.. Wanna know whether you guys have the same issue.
In settings>storage>cleanup>recommended for cleanup, wechat shows that it has 886mb to be cleaned. A few days back it was 883mb. When i tap on clean, it says 0b and the app uninstalled. All of this when I don't even have the app on my phone... Strange.
Really would appreciate if anyone knows what's going on and how to get rid of this. Thanks!

I did install it after finding this issue... Just to check whether I'd be able to delete the whole thing... Didn't change anything after deleting the apps data before uninstalling.
The tencent folder is only about 5mb.
Nobody else has this issue?
I also do have it & can't delete it
Same here... Spy folder?

It actually doesn't dissappear. If u keep opening and closing and clearing recents.. It'll just keep coming back and disappearing again. But the amount of storage stays and keeps increasing
Check this out guys.. I made a video to show what I meant.
Response from Huawei Malaysia
Did a factory reset yesterday... Today it appeared again and its nearly 1mb. Increased from 416kb when it first showed up this morning

Placed them, changed permissions like the rest of the apps i'm using and still nothing happened. What exactly am i doing wrong? They won't work at all.
After placing the apk, reboot your tab and check.
done that. still nothing.
later edit: solved. you can close this thread now.

Hello all!
Is there a way to check how much storage is left without attaching the Gear S to a computer? Thanks!
Haven't found a way yet.. If you can code, you just came up with a great app idea
Anyone know how to check this?

Was this thread just a way to advertise an app that isn't needed? As stated before the info is available from the watch.

Total is 4Go. But some used probably by system.
I've used this app for a long time without a problem. Tonight I installed it as a system app from within the app and rebooted. Now when I open the app, I get the message I've attached in the screen shot. The heck!
I did XDA and Google searches for "Better Battery Stats Companion" but I can't find anyone even talking about this. It says it's a companion app, so where did the real app go? I know it's something stupid and simple, but I'm stumped.
Anyone know? TIA

I think I had that the first time I installed it. I might have had to install BBS again when it did that, but it's installed as a system app for me now. Did it have a recovery zip message show up when you installed it as system.

No zip file created. I might uninstall and reinstall if no one comes up with something else soon. Strange thing and even stranger that I can't find it mentioned on the developer's site or anywhere on the net.

I found the apk for it in system/priv-app directory. Does it show up in there for you?

I didn't see the apk in my system/app folder, but this went well in a weird way. I clicked the uninstall button that my screenshot shows. It said it failed to uninstall, but when I re-opened the app, it worked the way it should. It's working perfectly now.
I'm not gonna argue with my phone. It works, and I'm good with that. Thanks for responding when I reached out for help!

That's what I was thinking, but it takes like 20 minutes sitting at "android is optimizing" for me after clearing cache lol so I don't tend to clear the cache very often. :-/

Hi guys.
Simply, my lg g5 crashes whenever I enter app info and attempt to view 'storage', 'data', 'permissions' etc relating to that app. I happens with all apps.
Catlog shows this that I assume is related:
11-13 22:36:34.387 E/ANDR-PERF-MPCTL(4101): invalid request, no optimizations performed
Any ideas how to fix this before to restore to stock with lgup and start again?
Thanks
When did you notice this?
Look at the updates of the apps around that time or settings you have changed. I personally would uninstall the latest installed/updated apps and see if it resolves.

Nice! Thanks for the reply. And maybe for others who encounter same problem, if you can be specific which application caused this behaviour, it could be helpful to know it.
