Hi, so the other day my redmi 5 got the 10.1.3.0 update and it got super slow and unresponsive, is there an option to rollback to the previuos state?
and if there isn't an option for rollback what stable rom would you recommend for the 2 gb ram version? gestures for me is a must and moving apps to the sd card would be very nice.
Thank you.
Be careful when you talk about rollback / downgrade, Xiaomi has introduced anti-rollback that if you install an update but then downgrade, your phone is bricked, it means your phone will stop working, it will activate the EDL mode for the unbrick but then it is difficult to solve so my advice is to opt for a custom rom.
If you want the experience of a google pixel then the Pixel Experience is for you https://download.pixelexperience.org/rosy/
If you want a custom rom that has UI / UX customizations then the resurrection remix is for you https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-5/development/rom-resurrection-remix-v7-0-t3891693
Instead a more famous custom rom is the Lineage Os https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-5/development/rom-lineageos-16-rosy1-jan-t3885455

just saw miui. com
it shows 9.5.1.0 update for stable, global, developer, etc for redmi note 3.
can i flash it over miuipro 9.5.1.0 v6 / zcx? any precautions or steps i need to take?
yes you can flash it as any other rom.if your bootloader is officialy unlocked, you can switch back to custom rom at any time.if you want to go to pure stock miui you must flash it via mifash or flash older global stable and let updater do the update to latest version (to update bootloader, firmware, etc).good alternative are xiaomi.eu builds.
flash miui only if you have trouble with networks and need every bit of battery performance and if you can live without replying from notification (nougat and later feature, not present on any stock xiaomi or xioami.eu builds).
personally i've tried to go back to miui as i like it but i can't live without replying from notification,dt2w and other customisations present only on latest oreo roms.
I wanted to know if lineage os 15.1 2018-11-06 nightly (official) is really stable or not for my redmi note 4 Qualcomm . Because I'm thinking to install custom rom on my phone from global beta miui.
1.Is it better then miui 10 global beta 8.11.8?
2.Does it have encryption prob?(imp)
3.Is it faster then global miui beta?
4.If i put lockscreen password and fingerprint, I've to wipe my phone at reboot everytime?(very important)
5.Does all sim functions work like dual sim, volte,?
6.Does display work fine? (colors and contrast are accurate?)
7.Fingerprint works fine?
8.Does it have fingerprint guestures like scroll down to bring notification?
9.Does it have bettery saver?
10.Pip supported for maps and youtube?
11.Performance mode is available?
12.Usb otg supported?
13.Ota updates from lineage is supported?
Thank you. That's all i wanted to ask. Plz help me guys. I'm new here.
I'm very frustated with MIUI because of all the bloatware and ads. I want to flash an 8.1 Oreo/ 9.0 Pie ROM on my Kenzo. I know that PIE roms are a bit unstable for Kenzo right now. I'm new here so, plesse suggest a good rom. I don't game at all. I use it for call and other media consuming purposes. Thanks in advance.

Oreo has idle drain. Pie roms are stable. Flash liquid Remix 9.0. Beautiful and huge customization.

Use latest twrp 3.2.3
Go to twrp
First Format data
Then wipe data reset
Flash liquid remix rom 9.0
Flash 9.0 arm64 nano gapps
Reboot
I am using lineage os + radon kernel

Incorrect most recently updated oreo roms have fixed the data drain. Like Cardinal and Bootleggers. Right now I would suggest using oreo before pie if you want a newer android experience. If you don't care about the visuals just flash cm13 by Gizmos, by far the best rom on kenzo.

simply CLEAN FLASH PE (Q)
take backup (always) before doing anything!
I recently got a Redmi note 3 2gb ram edition from my friend, and I want to downgrade it from miui 10.2 to miui 8 or 7, so that there will be bit of speed improvement, please tell me how do i do it? Do i need to flash fastboot rom or use recovery rom and updater
Better to use any custom ROM like Havoc 3.12 (A10) instead and experience vast improvements over crappy MIUI.
ok will try, that phone's dead due to broken charging port btw
