I recently updated to a Tab S4 and gave my Tab S3 to my daughter. Right now I have her a "user" but when she restarts her tablet, it goes to my profile first, she has to use my password to login and then change to her profile. Is there a way to default to her profile?
Thanks

Hi
I have access to my email from the office. (Exchange)
Unfortunately this means that I have to enter a pincode each time I want to unlock the screen.
I understand the meaning of this pincode...
But is it possible to remove, so I just have the ordinary screen unlocker.
I have it on my phone
HTC Sensation
and my tablet
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Just go to settings/(location and) security/set up screen lock and make it "none" or set something else (like a pattern, etc.).
Unfortunetely is is not possible cause the phone content is encrypted
after getting access to my office email-server.
I think it downloads a certificate when Im setting it up.
So when I go in to settings,to option to disable is gray,
and can not be choosed :-(
Got the same issue Samsung ICS

Anyone could help us with this?
Hello,
Just got my LGOG last week and as I was configuring the display settings, I noticed that it keeps on reverting to default everytime I reboot/restart the unit. I don't know why it does that...its very annoying. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

my tablet is having a odd issue. Alot of text boxes or click boxes wont activate. say on software update I can not click the box accepting the agreement or if i finally get that far I cant put in my screen name but can passwords. the rest of the screen is working, can use the back button or home. just not field boxes. it has been set to factory setting when I got it, thinking updating might help but cant even get that far.
Hello! I'm having a pretty annoying issue with my phone that I want sorted so I'll get straight to the point:
My friend gave me my first ever smartphone not too long ago (an old samsung galaxy s2) but I just can't change the pin code on it. It just won't save the changes I make. I can navigate to the options to change it, input a new pin code, lock my phone again to enter the new code only to find that it hasn't changed at all. Neither can I change it to a pattern lock or any other sort of security lock. It just stays stuck at the old pin code.
I've tried reverting it to factory default numerous times but it doesn't do anything.
Since it's my first smartphone, my experience with smartphones is pretty basic and I need this sorted out asap!
So what's going on with this phone? Why can't I change anything? Help!:crying:
Bump
Have a customer with a Samsung Galaxy Tab E SM-T560NU. It's running Android 5.1.1. My customer wants parental control filters put on because he can't stop himself from watching porn on it (planning on using Norton Family). Problem is, Android 5+ have this stupid guest account that lets anyone get on and use the device, bypassing any filtering or parental controls.
All the guides have told me to go to Settings, Users, then press the 3 dots in the top right to disable guest account creation at the lock screen. Even Norton's instructions say to do this. But this tablet doesn't have 3 dots. It doesn't have a menu button. I tried holding down the program switch button, and it wants to do split screen apps.
I got desperate, so I rooted the phone. Tried a half dozen SQLite editors, followed the instructions at reddit. com/r/Android/comments/323l36/android_5x_how_to_disable_guest_additional_user/ (skipping steps 2 through 4), and it just won't save the change of guest_user_enabled to 0. I also installed ADB, ran ADB Shell on the PC, enabled USB debugging, approved the ADB connection, and ran "settings put global guest_user_enabled 0" to no effect. Running "settings get global guest_user_enabled" shows the value as 0 instead of 1, but reaccessing the SQLite DB shows it's still 1, and I can still get into the guest account from the lock screen after deleting the guest account. I also tried "settings put global guest_user_enabled 0" after running su to no avail. And I did restart the tablet after running the command. Once I did get behavior as expected, clicking on the person icon in the top right brought up the contact card instead of the menu to switch users, but after I went into settings and clicked on guest, it undid it.
So. Long story short, tl;dr, is there any way to disable the guest account?
