Hello,
I noticed that Moto Z Force gets a lot of problems (Wifi/Bluetooth doesn't work or battery drains faster) when upgraded to Android Oreo. I have a Moto Z running on Android 7.0 Nougat..
Just wanted to know if I should upgrade it to Oreo or not... Will it get Wifi and Bluetooth problems like Z Force? I'd be thankful if someone advices.

To the point...
My vehicle recently connected perfectly to SE Xperia Mini Pro (wifi tethering). Apparently it had 2.3.3 gingerbread firmware. Till now it has been like 5 years and phones have improved. For some reason my car's navigation MZD Connect doesn't get it and communication with a local dealer ended with: "It is not possible in Finland", which is certainly bullcrap.
My Moto G is rooted, so is there any way to change wifi tethering configuration files to make Moto G Lollipop act like GB.
Looking forward to replies...
Best regards,
Mario
Any thoughts?
The development of MZD Connect is so slow and apparently they do not even have a bug tracker. I don't think they will fix it this year or next. I wish I could do something myself to improve my situation.
The Sony Ultra Z isn't on Sony's list of devices to be upgraded to Marshmallow, but how about the Google Play Edition ?
I think you're little late for this question and it won't get it for sure.
I guess I've been enjoying my Ultra Z for so long that nobody bothered to let me know it's obsolete !! (yes, I'm indeed late)
I am thinking of buying a Moto Z now, I wonder if it has the same functions as the Moto Z2 Droid and if Motorola usually improves this in updates. And do you guys think they'll have any more updates after Android Oreo?
Ok Google with the screen off works in custom roms?
There is already a thread that someone ported some of the new functionality:

In general as far as I know Moto Z family is relatively similar, so a lot of things are being moved between devices by developers..
Hi,
I recently installed Gear.Club on my Moto Z (XT1650-03) and on my Xperia X Compact. It runs fine on my Xperia but with lower details than on my Moto Z. The game look very good on my Moto Z but it's quite laggy on some scenes. Is it the same for yours or mine has a problem?
I'm running Android stock Android 7.1.1.
Thanks
Hi
I have a Moto Z which is still going great. I would like to be able to use Android 9 without using third-party Roms. Is it possible to flash the Moto Z2 Force or Moto Z3 Play rom on the Moto Z? The idea is to be included in the regular Motorola upgrades for those phones.
As far as I can see the specs of the Z2 Force are very similar to the Moto Z so the Rom might work.
Thanks for your input.

No.
Sadly it's not as simple as people might think, so to answer your question, no, its not possible.
That's a good question, man!
To be honest, If Moto Z can flash Z2 or Z3 ROMS, less people will buy their Z family models.
The answer: NO! You could not flash Z2 or Z3.
