Found this module, although it didn't look too legit, I thought if it does what it really says it does then it would be very useful (bypass safetynet, disable all root detection, selinux, bypass signature verification etc) so i installed it.
Anyway now I see its been removed from the repository. I'm guessing it was not legit after all, anyway other than decompiling the apk file to see what it was doing, is there anyway to find out why it was removed and what potential damage/data has been done to my device?

I suspect it wasn't actually doing anything it claimed to do. I noticed my screen was staying on for some reason, then I realised it was caused by that app. I was a bit concerned it was actually a RAT or some malware sending off all my private data somewhere.
If I get time this weekend I might try decompile it and have a look I still have the apk file, have just disabled it in xposed.

I noticed my screen not auto shutting off either unless in gallery r something, but not main screen. Did seem like phone got a lil sluggish as well.
I extracted the app and noticed that sdk says 22 when I need 24 lol. Can't re-apk app tho. Zip and renaming don't cut it.
This app seemed to being doing what it intended from what I seen. Magisk fully passed safteynet. Basic integrity mainly. Cts is already green on my end from no device check module. This does both green check marks.

It was working until I updated to the latest riru v15 and edxposed.
Without it my banking app isn't working anymore (detects xposed, root,.. Etc).

NetGuard shows, that HiddenCore Module has no internet connection.
P.S. My version of HiddenCore is 1.3 - and the screen goes asleep after 2 min (the fault with screen always on is since version 1.5).

I think the issue is that before it's installed the Market app needs to be made to work on the device. Odds are by default that the market app will not work until someone will be able to edit it's properties.
The Market (vending.apk) has dependencies which be installed before it can work. The Setup Wizard that is normally present which links the device to a particular Google account is not present.
Even with the Market working, the NC isn't licensed for use with Market so it likely would have to use another device's fingerprint such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This is change is typically made to the "build.prop" file.

I think the issue currently is that Setup Wizard doesn't appear to want to work over wifi.
I was able to get all of the Google apps installed last night but the Setup Wizard won't use wifi to sign into my account. Market and Gmail appear to want to work, but shoot you over to the Setup Wizard. The logcat doesn't show much with regards to fatal exceptions.
I'm open to ideas. It got really late last night so I didn't really get to try much.

Have you tried this? Where did you get the dependencies? I tried a gapps that was suggested from CyanogenMod, and it runs, but will not log in. The assumption was that it was trying to connect over 3G rather than Wifi. As of last night I thought it was still unsolved.
The last line of my post says "I'd try it myself, but I won't be getting my NC til tonight."
I don't see any particular issue with connecting over Wifi unless the Nook has a weird setup. We did the same thing with the Pandigital Novel and it worked fine (and that doesn't have 3G either).
Hopefully I'll have time to give it a shot tonight.

It also worked fine on the g-tablet, but something is configured different on the NC. The more eyes looking at it the better!

SUCCESS!!!
I was able to get Vending.apk to install but I also had to install the following:
SetupWizard.apk
GoogleApps.apk,
GoogleCheckin.apk

But since I can't seem to get it to register my Google account it does no good.

I pretty much got to the same place. I'm not really sure why SetupWizard wouldn't go through, if it is an issue with something they modified or something else. Unfortunately, they're using a really non-standard Settings.apk, and if I push that over and boot the Nook won't start until I revert it.

Is there maybe a way to set this information without going through the wizard? Maybe a db or prop file somewhere?
Thinking that it might be the AccountAndSyncSettings.apk I tried installed it however, got the following error.
[INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES]
I wonder if it can't go through the wizard due to a cert not being loaded.

I'll probably play some more tonight. One error message that stuck out to me was "GoogleLoginService not available", though that is supposed to live in Google Apps (which was pushed), so I'm not sure why it's having issues.

I'm probably spoiled from working on the Pandigital before this. That was a piece of cake, push over the appropriate stuff and Google Apps worked. I'm not really sure what the issue is in this particular case. It's most likely that Pandigital did a really lazy job building their ROM from an emulator image, and BN has done some more customization and removal of stuff, which in turn may be causing problems.
Hopefully it won't be a huge issue.

Unlike his releases, screenshotting is no longer reportet. We came to the agreement that there are too many unofficial versions out there with the sceenshot reporting disabled, but potentially containing malware. This Xposed module saves all images and videos upon opening to the keepchat folder on your SD card. It uses the Xposed framework to hook into the Snapchat app and do the magic. Because it uses the Xposed framework, it is device and rom independent

The short answer should actually be no Technically, the image will still be saved multiple times, but with the same file name. l.e., the image overwrites itself if the snap is viewed multiple times in the few seconds the snap is viewable after opening. This is the behaviour on my phone at least.
I will add this technical hickup to the todo list. But as it doesn't change the functionality, it will receive a low priority.

That is exactly how my phone works as well. Just overwrites if opened again.
There are no words for how awesome this module is! It beats all of the root snapchatsaver apps (even the paid ones) on the play store. Thanks a LOT for this.

on my xperia s it saves it twice if i open twice, and no it doesnt effect the functionality but is annoying

Do we need to leave the regular Snapchat app installed? I removed it, installed xposed and rebooted, then installed keepchat 4.1, activated the module and rebooted. But I don't see keepchat listed as an app.

Of course you need to keep Snapchat installed. This is a MOD to Snapchat that is loaded via Xposed. That is the whole purpose of the Xposed framework, that mods hook into the installed packages. So you profit from upstream updates of apps, but still have working mods without modifying the original apps.

Cool. Thought the keepchat download included a modified apk of the app so I uninstalled it first. Can I just go download snapchat from where I am now or should I uninstall the keepchat mod and wipe first, then do it over again?.

Just install Snapchat from the Play Store or whatever As I said, that's the whole idea of Xposed that makes it so much better than modifying apks. You don't need to modify anything, just install the mod (which is an app itself) independently from the app(s) it is modifying.

It's an app (apk file), just update it like any other app, i.e., download the newer version and install.
I consider uploading this (and my other) mod(s) to the F-Droid market, so F-Droid users get a notification when there's an update.

This thread is about the Keepchat mod, NOT an Xposed framework support thread, sorry. Please look for your problem in the Xposed framework thread, probably many other users already faced the same problems as you. I saw a lot of 4.3 discussion going on there, with files to flash in recovery etc. BTW I use ParanoidAndroid @android 4.3 on a Nexus 4 and it still works flawlessly out of the box for me.
Can you add a version without the toast messages? I hate that little message that pops up every snapchat I open. Otherwise, its great!

I'm working on a major update at the moment to implement a settings screen. Then the user can select whether to always or never save images or videos (independent from each other) or if they should be asked every time by a pop-up or notification. I'll add an additional settings item to disable the toast messages -- thanks for the suggestion!

You can use it as before now.

I can reproduce your issue now. The root cause is I didn't sign the app correctly. In the next release, I will fix this issue and also bring back the status bar feature. Stay tune.

Just seen you updated in OP and try to download, VirusTotal Scan, Install, Testing.
VirusScan still show as Trojan (I'm not sure it's a false positive or not)
but this time I can install. Enable module > Reboot.

thanks a lot for your work, I was desperately looking for something like that for my OnePlus 5T which is lacking a one handed mode. I experience the same graphical issues with telefon/contacts App which are not that bad - what I don't like though is that the one handed mode doesn't work in Chrome at all. Anyone got an idea why or gets the same?
I tried to use Slide down as well as Small Screen but in Chrome just nothing happens.
Also I can't attach it to the Home Button because it seems to interferes with other functions (in apps) - with the "last Apps"-Button it works well so I'm using this one atm!

I'm also on 4.7.6 but the Magisk Xposed module didn't work for me, the Xposed installer told me there was no framework installed so had to flash the zip manually.
And yes, I redownloaded the File from the OP several times, still can't open it.
But since it seems to be buggy anyway I guess I'm just gonna wait a bit longer before making my final decision and see if someone finds a fix, but I don't have high hopes anymore at this point

I just installed the newest Xposed and Gravitybox works so it shouldn't be an Xposed issue.
"One-Handed Mode for all devices" somewhat works but its kinda buggy while the xda one handed mode is completely unusable :crying:

I agree with the XDA one handed mode. It's not that usable. So I get back toNiwatori as soon as Exposed works on Nougat.
I assume there should not be install issue with my updated link. Could you share me the information of the file you downloaded?

For the graphical issue, tkgktyk has solution in the original project. But he didn't enable it as default. I will work on it when I find some time. Actually, it's not a real issue. It doesn't stop you using anything, isn't it:laugh:
By the way, you can call me Ben. I guess OP is my phone's brand, OnePlus. I don't know why XDA put OP there. I would like to have a signature here, but I don't know how to. I'm a XDA fan for quite some time. But only start posting recently.

It looks like you use installer that not support systemless Xposed.
You can try to use Xposed Installer by dvdandroid
and download systemless by topjohnwu (Magisk's Dev)
Now It should work.

Yea, that's probably it. I haven't really done much with all the "new" systemless stuff, since the ROM on my old phone basically gives me everything I need out of the box. Gonna try that on the weekend. :good:

I just clicked the dropbox download link in the first post, and according to the age shown on dropbox it should be the updated one...

Yeah, home button is tricky with finger print function. I'm using pie control from gravity box.
For the chrome issue, I don't have in my room. Chrome works pretty well. You my try the latest version to see if it works on your side.

New version (0.5.0) seem to cause this issue.

No, not yet. Xposed module doesn't release the stable version. I don't move to it. So maybe later.
ARTDeoptimiser - An Android N & O Xposed Crash/Hang "fix"
Introduction:
First things first, I'd like to point out that this app is by no means the optimal solution to the problem I am about to discuss, however it is a temporary solution to those that wish to use it.
Xposed for Android N and above has known issues whereby hooked applications can hang or crash for seemingly no reason at all and there's virtually nothing that us developers can do to resolve
the issue (From a module developers perspective). This is (to the best of my knowledge) in part due to how android performs an optimisation on applications during the installation period
(Dex2Oat) [See Further Reading below].
As an Xposed developer myself these hangs became quite a frequent occurrence and my users would often complain about it, assuming the issue was something on my part or something I could resolve.
As a result I decided to create a module that would force android to install selected applications as "Interpret Only" whereby no optimisations are performed on the app meaning Xposed can hook
into applications and not face the dreaded hangs.
Again, I can't stress enough that this is not a permanent or primary solution to the issue however Rovo himself has said that the optimal fix is not something that is easy to do, so until then I thought
I'd at least offer a "hacky workaround". I'd love to hear from @rovo89 as to whether forcing apps to install as vmSafeMode=true is in fact a "solution".
Note: This app is very much in the EARLY STAGES as I made it in about 2 days and decided I'd at least allow people to provide feedback.

Mark which apps you want deoptimised

Although I'm not 100% certain, in theory so long as this module is active at the time of update it should allow you to just update your apps normally.
I'll have to test this to confirm it however I'm somewhat confident it will work.

I'm not sure about other impacts of vmSafeMode. You might be better of setting "pm.dexopt.bg-dexopt=quicken" (or whatever "pm.dexopt.install" is): https://source.android.com/devices/tech/dalvik/configure#runtime_configuration
Again, this is only a workaround. It means that no AOT compilation is taking place, which means that apps need to be JIT-compiled every time you start them. That surely increases CPU/RAM load, which in turn consumes more battery.

Got a little lost at the part of backing the app up and uninstalling it, then restoring it but then I considered a case like Snapchat's login.

Make sure you're using the v1.0.2 version as previous versions would still allow android to optimise apps in the background ?
(Note: this MAY require you to reinstall messenger, I've not been able to confirm if it's necessary)

I will still try to keep it simple to update the module so we can quickly move to the next latest release.

Save story images / videos of your friends or people you are subscribed to. Make sure to open their story from the snap overview and not the discovery overview.
A settings UI to enable/disable snap/story images and videos being saved.
Snaps are saved automatically when they are received. Stories when they are viewed (plus a few after that because of pre-loading).

Its sending screenshot notifications to everyone. That's unfortunate. Can you please fix this?
on my side , it's like i did capture when opening story on each pictures
but after that , i saw that pictures/video are pushed in snapcept drawer without the need to open the friend's story.
i tried to send picture to myself with chat , no capture et no notification.
maybe it's on the first run of the module ?
anyway if the dev @Snapcept wants logging or Xposed log

It shouldn't send any screenshot notifications out of itself.
Snaps and stories are saved automatically, you don't have to do anything (so don't take screenshots yourself if you did that).
You can send me your Xposed log if it happens again but I doubt there will be any useful information.
I can't seem to reproduce the notification, even when developing and breaking Snapchat a few times I still haven't gotten any notifications.
Do you have any other Snapchat Xposed modules installed? Try disabling those and see if it is fixed.

i have no other snapchat modules.
actually i've no screen cap notification, and no notification on the friend's side.
i forgot to say that i applied the wipe in the folder "/data/user/0/com.snapchat.android/files/media_cache"
and let snapchat resynch the stories after reboot.
so for me it's all good
None. The only module i used was the SnapIntercept before it was outdated as well. I asked my friend to send me a couple of snaps. Simply opening them sent him screenshot notifications while I don't get any text that i have taken a screenshot which usually shows when you do like "You took a screenshot". I guess I'll try again.

Let me start by thanking you for starting and working on this project It's really nice to have the option to save all the stuff that I receive on snapchat once again, it's been a while since SnapIntercept was updated haha. Sadly I am having no luck getting your module to work on my configuration. I have not yet had time to check the GitHub repository and see if I can do some debugging myself, but I thought I would post a reply here and maybe get some directions to resolving my troubles.
So my configuration is the following:
OnePlus 6 running OxygenOS 5.1.5, rooted via Magisk.
I have the Xposed Framework SDK27 module installed,. 90.2-beta3 (Stystemless)
I am running snapchat version 10.33.0.0 Beta and version 1.6.0 of your module
Is this configuration even supposed to work? I am unsure.
I am getting no Toast messages and no files have appeared other than Android/data/local.snapcept/files, which is empty.

Hey! I got the APK from apkmirror which only had a beta version, did not realize that there was a difference. I've been looking for the non-beta version but cannot find it on apkmirror, which is the only source I trust. Does anyone have a reputable website or perhaps even a link to an apk?
PS: I've tried with 10.31.5.0, no luck..
