Magisk uninstalling itself - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Approximately once every two days Magisk deletes itself, saying its not installed once i open the app up. I have to reflash it every time which is becoming kinda frustrating. Im running PE 15th february build on Derp kernel 2.8 .
Could this be due to heavy battery management or is it something else?

Upon flashing the N beta, after downloading and setting apps up the device can get hot. Several people have reported this. The kernel needs time to settle in.

Thought you meant stock was having issues. Yeah i could see that being a problem. It's not really daily driver ready
I noticed a lot of lag while typing, but I didn't let the kernel settle in for more than a few hours. Does this eventually go away?
Which root are you using? I tried phh and there is no system write so adaway wasn't working for me...

Ah, that sucks. If there's one thing that I really can't take, is lag, especially while typing. I'll just lust after N features while sticking to 6.0.1 for now.

Which custom rom for Barclays banking app?

Anyone use the Barclays banking app in UK? I have tried Los, RR and Aex roms and it will not run on any of them, I guess they are all based on Los?
Looking for a stock rom that it will work on or a workaround as I use the app every day. I know it will not work on rooted phones but then it just gives error message but it's currently just stuck on opening splash screen.
If no solution I will have to go back to MIUI.
Forget this question as it looks like it was updated today and they managed to break it lol.
They managed to break it? The app or what?
I'm in same situation and need to get the app working
AFAIK, that banking app checks if the bootloader is locked. If it's unlocked it will refuse to work.
I ended up back on miui global as could not get banking to work on any custom rom. Just gave up.
Anyone else?
I'm looking to order this phone but need the Barclays to to work 100%. Ideally I'd like to remove the stock firmware to get a more vanilla android experience, but only if the Barclays bank app works...

I have had to stick on stock miui for the barclays app to work. All custom roms I tried the barclays app refused to load.
Order the mi a1 instead
Have you tried using Magisk? That is the entire purpose of Magisk, it hides root and unlocked bootloader.

I did but still failed last time I tried. Unless something has changed it will not work on a custom rom.

It should fix it but it does not unfortunately. Hence the reason I do not bother with custom roms on this phone.

Been a month or so since I last tried so something may have changed. Does it give you the option of setting it up? Usually it goes to next screen and says it will not work die to phone being rooted. May have to give it a go again.

I tried it with magisk 14.5 on aex 5 and it does indeed work but I don't like that rom as too many bugs for me. I tried RR nougat rom and it will not work on that either with magisk 14.5 or 14. Itwill not work if I unroot either. Barclays just says it will not work on rooted phones.
PITA to be honest but its not the fault of custom roms, its because the barclays app is too choosy.

Xperia X Oreo. Magisk root and apps freezing.

Hi. I updated my phone to Oreo. I rooted it with magisk v16.0. The root works perfectly, but I am, constantly, getting an error saying that the xperia actions and some other apps stopped working. Can anyone know how to fix it? The info appears and disappears immediately. It's annoying as hell.

No, I didn't. The apps that stop working constantly are: xperia actions, firmware update and messaging app. The info shows up and disappears in a split/second.

I have never had problems with xposed. Besides I have it installed, you don't. We are using totally different builds, but still we have the exactly same problem. So maybe Magisk is causing it.
I fixed my problem with crashing apps. I simple updated xperia update center apk and the apps stopped crashing. Here's a link.

Then it maybe caused by several issues,
1. Old firmware
2. Malfunctioning core gapps
3. Maybe a hardware related problem
4. Restoration of apps using titanium backup
5. Wrong Wake lock blocker settings which prevent phone form waking up on critical wakelock such as gmscore wake locks, which will definitely results in delayed notifications (tested by myself)
Maybe gms dose for magisk can also be responsible.

Here's my situation:
1. I placed latest global firmware I could get my hands on. I'm not sure was it beta or stable.
2. This is a GApps issue?
3. I'm pretty sure it's not since I came from Havoc 2.0 just 2 weeks ago. Before AEX 6.1 it worked normally.
4. I used Migrate to restore apps.
5. I don't use any wake lock blocker whatsoever

I formatted my Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F with twrp. After formatting, it began to cease and heat unnecessarily. Naturally he started to squeeze a lot. In the device maintenance, battery usage input features say usage information is learned and it remains so.

Hi,
First of all can you precise what "formatted" means. Same for what you started to do "squeeze a lot".
When you formatted your device, which partitions did you earned ? Are you still on the stock ROM or a custom one. Are you using a custom Kernel ?

Oh ok, lucky Patcher has a pretty bad reputation, I suspect one of the patches you use may have caused that.
What module have you installed through Xposed/Magisk ?
Try reflashing stock rom, lucky patcher is pretty horrible, avoid installing it if possible. What do you need Xposed for? It's best if you don't install it if you don't need it.
