Since moving to this phone the Panasonic image app no longer records and or attaches the correct geo location coordinates.
Occasionally the geo location of photos taken on the phone can be off as well.
Is this a known problem.
Any fix known?

Not realy a Tytn issue but i run a GPS app called GPS Tuner (ww.gpstuner.com) which allows you to navigate off road. You load .jpg maps to your mobile and it navigates with your gps receiver.
just wondering if anyone know where i can get large scale .jpg maps of uk regions?
Try GoogleEarth or other mapping software. A lot of them allow you to save their maps in JPG format.
yeah - forgot about google earth. thanks. will check it out
Hi guys,
Which gps tracker do you use?
I have two alternatives. I use it for bike tours and running. These are:
. Open Gps
. Maverick
These programs are fairy good stuff but M has not the ability of having notices during the route.
And an other problem of mine: gps sometimes turns off and my track lost data for a long distance. I have tried Tracker booster app but I think it is useless above Android 2.1.
So what is your experience about tracking? Share with us. Than you! ;-)
Hello,
I use CardioTrainer for my bike rides, there is a map tracker, calories burnt counter, there is an option to share you rute via Facebook, upload route to your account on their server. It has audio player integrated in the application, it is free and you can download it from Market
Cardiotrainer is very good for walking and running.
For bike riding i use RunKeeper, does the job

[APP REQUEST] Car Security Video Recorder Surveillance
Good Morning Everyone!
I have spent a lot of time trying to find an app that meets the following requirements and so far just havnt been able to find anything close that works. Multiple apps are fine. I am mostly concerned with someone breaking into car and stealing stuff. I had origianl post all typed then lost it so im trying to recreate this but think im forgetting a few things.
I am planing to:
- Mount phone in car and conceal it permently or semi-permanently. (Access will be available but limited and difficult.)
- Hardwire for full time power.
- Not have cellular service so scanning and connecting to any open or known (such as the secured wifi at home) for cloud uploads/monitoring/etc... ( sugestions to improve the built in android wifi utility are welcome)
- Will not pay monthly service charges for any service, app, Web site, etc...
Features:
- Everything hands off/auto start apps/recordings upon system start.
- Start video record on any of following:
- motion detected from camera(someone breaks in)
- motion detected of phone/vehicle (someone steals car)
-Any Audio is detected (not expecting to be able to cover entire car or if some hits car exterior, etc.. )
- Delete oldest files if run out of storage before upload/sync completes.
- Cloud upload capabilities (Might be able to perform via other known methods but would like ability to split files based on specified file size if no cloud integration).
- GPS/Location tracking and recording. (Google location services will probably work if not integrated).
-Record Post video when record event is triggered.
-Bonus if user adjustable, say from 1-60 mins.
- Double Bonus if capable of buffering video to save specified length of video prior to triggered event. (Say if someone keeps walking by car trying to case out but motion didnt trigger or if someonw hits car would be nice to see prior few minutes of them driving down the road before impact.)
Nice added bonus:
-Event alarms: email is fine, text even better(using free text service). Pics attached even nicer.
-Remote control of device. Only while connected to local lan is ok.
-Ability to provide Live video/audio/location information if connected to wifi as long as the recordings do not get disturbed. (So i can check if i locked doors, windows are up, etc).
Hello
I want to develop an Android app (without a GUI). The app should collect sensor data from a tablet (acceleration, touch input etc.). In addition video from the front cam should be recorded. On top of that I will record raw data from bio-sensors (skin conductance, heart rate etc.) over bluetooth. All this values are just numbers, except for the video recordings.
Now I'm unsure how I should store this data so that I can use it easily later on. I need to store a timestamp, device ID and the data (number or video). If the internal storage of the device gets full I would upload the data to a cloud storage. A possibility would be to use a sql database or something like protobuff (but the video recording could not be stored).
What is the best way to store such data?
