I am willing to change my mobile battery, I am using Redmi note 3 ( Kenzo).. How is the battery performance after you had replaced your battery from mi service centre?. Is it advisable to change battery and use it as a new mobile?

Well i guess ofc ur battery would be improved,
You can compare
My 3 years old phone's battery and your newly replaced battery.
Which one do you think will get longer juice.
Ofc yours
I've changed my official battery of 3 years with a "Nohon" and I get a level juice like to the first day !!!
Made a huge difference for me, added a few hours of sot. I replaced mine myself.

Batteries don't last forever. You missed out all the important info....
1) is it the original (included in the box) battery?
2) how old is the phone?
3) if the battery is a replacement, how old is it and where was it sourced?
4) is the battery showing signs of swelling? If you take the battery out of the phone and put it on a flat surface, can you spin it?

original battery no replacement 1year and 4 months old no swelling cant spin it
Ok....here's the thing......
Samsung provides warranty on their batteries for only SIX MONTHS (information as supplied by Samsung UK) so that should give you some idea of how long Samsung expects them to last.
So given that you've been using the battery for almost THREE times that, a new battery should definitely be considered. My advice though would be to stay away from eBay if it is your intention to get a Samsung branded replacement. .....the label on the battery will say Samsung, but what's inside......ain't.

I have the original Samsung battery which is 2.5 years month old but I m still not very desperate to buy a new one. If you are getting the right symptoms e.g. low backup than usual, heating, swelling etc then it's time for you to get a new one.
We can only suggest you here but as only you have the first hand experience of it, only you can decide.

ROM: Resurrection Remix Oficial RR-O-v6.0.0-20180314-mido-Official
Firmware: Last Stable fw_miui_HMNote4XGlobal_V9.5.4.0.NCFMIFA_aaade14a88_7.0

When i bought the phone, it came with 0% battery, i fully charged it before use. Its annoying because i think the battery may be damaged, all phones came with 60% battery more or less.
Deep sleep works great, see photos
On MIUI the battery was worse. Maximum 3h SOT, now 4-4,5h MAX with minimum brightness

I'd say that get it checked from the xiaomi service center under your warranty. Even if the problem isn't real, it doesn't hurt to get it checked. You might even figure something out by that and anyways it's free

Reflash stock ROM, stock kernel, lock bootloader and check the usage for 2 days, while taking necessary logs for battery discharge. If the discharge rate is poor, get to the service center.
And yes, 0% battery is unusual especially for a built-in battery.

I can disable wifi all time to try
Thank you for your help
Clean flash your oreo rom. Try out other kernel, don't tweak anything. I use xenial 20x kernel. Then you can use magisk v16 for root. As under examination, install minimal set of your apps. Check for battery.

No phone on this planet will give you 40% battery left after 5 days of heavy usage
I've got this phone for 2 and a half years, it's still working fine but I don't know if it makes sense to buy a new battery or change the phone directly. Is there anyone who changed the battery recently? Is it that much better?

I also thought about it but I recently moved to AOSiP Q and combined with Ethereal kernel I get 8 - 9 hours of SOT on a phone that is as old as yours. So it's pretty much impossible to drain the battery in 1 day.
I charge my phone every night, so for me there is no point in having a newer/better/bigger battery
Does anyone has battery swolen issue. Yesterday I noticed a little bump on back of my phone. On the right side on Poco logo. When I took my phone to service center they told me it's the battery that's Swollen and needs to be replaced at 2800 Rs. Iss it safe to continue using my phone without replacement. Our should I get a replacement from local repair shopThough I am sceptical about the quality of the repair.
Anyone else had same issue?
Also will the aftermarket battery will support fast charging

Yes, swollen batteries mean that the battery needs a replacement. Try to get a good brand or original battery in the after market. There is no way that it would be costing Rs 2800.
There is no harm in using your phone with a slightly swollen battery but I won't recommend that as it might cause other hardware issues due to its deformity in the long run.

I too was shocked when I heard the price for battery replacement there is only a small buldge near poco logo nothing major . But I am fearing that it may catch fire. I have a lot of videos where batteries explode.
Get it replaced

My battery was swollen too, had to get it replaced. An aftermarket battery will cost you anywhere around ₹1000-₹1500 but it's not as reliable. I had mine replaced at the service centre for ₹2772 but it works really well now. If you can get the original one, please go for it, you won't regret it.
SAFA Mobile Battery For Xiaomi POCO F1 (I can't post the link as XDA doesn't allow me)
Get this on Flipkart! It's original. Although I feel that the price could be lesser. But, at least it's half the price at Rs 1499 and got 219 ratings with 4.5 star reviews and 6months warranty is also provided.
yes i already had that problem, after that little bump in battery your battery capacity starts to degrade to 0 capacity. i have used the battery until it's unable to work anymore. After that i purchased a battery from Amazon (Because it is very expensive in service center around 2800), and a screw driver kit, i replaced the battery myself, And the battery is original manufactured by Everup company. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0836SP516/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iuhwFbQ6C51E0
I went to service center and I was asked for a waiting time of 10days. I have exams so I am waiting for this month end. Thank you guys for valuable feedback.
As I am seeing a lot of poco F1 devices are getting swollen batteries. May be due to cost cutting of the product
The original battery cost 1999.

How many of my Friends Have battery swollen issue And are using their charger on inverter supply
After the battery in my 10 month old device first showed degradation I switched from the stock 18W charger to a 10W charger that came bundled with my old Redmi Note 3. Xiaomi has definitely cut corners in order to keep prices down or its QC 3.0 as some Mi 8 owners had also reported premature battery degradation. Kernel profile reports 10% loss while Accubattery estimates battery health at 80%(originally at 93/95%). Nearly 4 year old Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3s still have in excess of 85% battery health. I keep all my devices I keep battery charge between 40-80%. No fast charging mods or custom thermals. No gaming except a few casual ones recently. Battery temps were moderate for the most part.
Purely in my use cases I used to get 13-15 hours SoT which is down to barely 11 hours now.
Hoping to get another year out of the battery. After that will replace with genuine battery. Third-party party ones usually aren't good. Some give good bb intially but by 6 months it would have degraded a lot.
Mine After 1.5 yrs of purchase Already down to 71% And only 2800 mah backup left of 4000 mah surely battery is one of the aspects where Xiaomi has cut Corners.
Looking best online seller and manufactured for Poco F1 battery
I am also facing battery bit swollen issue my Poco F1 . I am looking best battery and its backup for the replacement . Please suggest me that best battery manufactured and online seller.
My battery was around 80-90% not swollen. "Was" because I had mainboard issues and the authorized service center didn't keep battery charged.
It died in just 2 months cause I opted to buy 2nd hand replacement board from China. You all should see the price of a brand new mainboard from Xiaomi/Poco, almost the cost of a new phone! At least they replaced my battery.

Bro get the repair done by service center. There are chances that the phone's battery will Explode on heavy usage, and I am sure that you don't want to buy a new phone for now.
Rs 2800 is good if you are replacing it at the official service center. Don't go at local repair shop, as if some other thing will happen to your phone then they will say that they were not responsible for that.
So please don't use your device much and get the replacement done.
Hi, late to the thread but i faced a similar issue with my poco f1 with swollen battery n drain, got it replaced but again new battery too has the same swollen problem and Battery drain in just one month. Could it be the motherboard or battery again?
To prolong the useful life of the battery I have resorted to bypass charging in late May. Since then only 12 battery cycles have been used in over 1.5 months! Over the previous 20 months the daily average was 1.1/day. SoT had fallen down to ~10 hours. But now no anxiety about battery drain as long as a power outlet is nearby. Thermals are better as battery doesn't charge and discharge frequently when plugged in. In my older Redmi devices wherein bypass charging worked from the very beginning the battery health is still in the 80-85% range even after 4+ years.

Most likely the battery. Was it a third-party one? Did you monitor the battery health with Accubattery or similar? The built-in battery tool might not work with unofficial ones.
