Mokee rom has reboot problem when high load.
Smiui i think has better performance for gaming than the stock rom
use miui polska rom (dev.eu + polska extras) the rom is so smooth for gaming, and better battery life too.
Hey, I've a very short battery backup, on an average one percent lasts 3 minutes with less than 1/4 brightness, I'm running MIUI developer ROM(global beta/ weekly).
I'm running stock kernel.
Any help is appreciated.

Nitrogen os stable build + radon 4.0V is best combination so far. I havent faced any major fc's except on camera and flash light which will be fixed only when xiaomi release their source code for nougat kernel which in my opinion is not happening anytime soon

Radon v.4.0 is also available for Miui
Try with a custom kernel. There is a few for miui (Radon, agni)

I've installed nitrogen os with the stock kernel and there's a huge improvement. I want to ask that does changing kernels really work?

Yes, gives you alot of options to tweak. Also it fix some issues with the goodix fp.
I got 14h SoT yesterday on NOS
By the way, you should use stock kernel with it...it has all tweaks you need
Is the nitrogen OS for redmi Note 4 or 4 x is better with the stock kernel or Franco kernel or any other custom kernel available in the XDA forum???

it depends upon your usage.
Are you more of a "power saying" guy?, then go ahead franco kernel is for you.
do you want a balanced kernel? then leave it to stock
are you performance hungry?

It is balanced, standby is nice and i get around 10 to 11hrs of sot on normal use.

Miui is the best rom all stock
miui 10 global stable 10.0.1.3 + franco kernel r12.. with MAGISK v18.0 the beast..
Do you need that? I'm be with android pie beta rom and not have any issue with games.

I dont have any issues on my phone with that setup. Ehehehe. Playing Nba 2k19..bully.. gta... Mc5.. dh5.. gangstar no.. never played pubg or ml though...or even ros.. ehehe.. not a fan of those..but among those ive tried.. franco.kernel seems fine enough...
