I've read somewhere that bootlogo is related to Bootloader & firmware updates. So if i changed it, i must relflash custom logo every time?
Is that correct?

Some ROM such as MIUI, has own logo image, and you needs to reflash your image again.
Hey,
Thanks for the tool, It works, here's my custom logo which replaces the Bootlogo with a Zotac gaming logo.
Screenshots attached
Image has been cropped, but on screen everything is anyways black so don't worry
P.S: All works are properties of their respective owners
P.P.S: ENJOY!

didn't people said that due to the F1 can't be saved if bricked because of no EDL mode, changing stuffs like this is not recommended?
Also, can someone please make a dark Pixel boot logo? (like for example here or here, although I dont know if the Pixel 1 2 3 has any differences)
edit: welp I just went and it it anyway. Attached is the modified img for dark Pixel boot logo, plus a flashable zip with both the boot logo and animation and audio from Pixel 2

It's because the size of the image is invalid. I don't know the specific either, but just reduced the size to 1080x1920 worked

This new logo.bin is based off of the XT1575 LPH23.116-18 factory images
zip containing the logo bin is attached to this post
Please note that this has only been tested and confirmed working on the XT1575 on build number LPH23.116-18. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Stock Marshmallow logo
Stock Nougat logo
Install instructions:
1. unzip the zip archive containing the new logo
2. Reboot into the bootloader and flash the logo bin
Code:
fastboot flash logo /path/to/logo.bin
Reserved
man you are hooking us up! Thanks!
Hashbang, you are God-send!
I can also confirm that this works. And also the battery charging animation while phone is off also works! Even with turbo charging indication as well!
Thank you very much. Worked perfectly.
Thank you! It was so annoying seeing that bootloader message every reboot
Awesome, was just thinking of this was possible to make.
Not sure if it's related to flashing this, but when I try rebooting into system from TWRP it freezes.

You should be familiar with fastboot if you've unlocked your bootloader and are encountering the warning boot screen.
Thanks for this. Does anyone know how to create customized bootlogos (like with Motomaker)? That'd be very cool.

I was thinking about that earlier. If somebody that got a customized bootlogo would pull their logo.bin from their device (by using dd) and send it to me, I could probably figure out which values, if any, on the logo.bin determine the customization.

I do, my phone MAY be here tomorrow or the 16th. How would I pull that for you if no one does it before me. Been a LONG time since I had a phone that made me a flashaholic. Can I just grab the file in the DIR posted above with a file manager?
Can you help us find PVS and BIN number for future sakes!? It would be greatly appreciated!! I've done all the old tricks and can't get a solid answer...

When google came out with the Nexus 6 and released the image I figured it out in this post. I made a Windows program to decode and encode this format for the Nexus 6. Turns out, that it is the same with all of these third gen Moto devices. I posted it in the Moto G 2015 Themes & Apps section. But I didn't post it in all the 3rd Gen Moto Forums because I thought it would be frowned upon by the moderators:angel: Here is the link to the Moto G 2015 thread. So, save yourself some time, lol. It's all open sourced too, if you would like to make your own program that doesn't require Windows.:good:
This will allow you to change all of the images in your logo.bin.
EDIT:
When you try to run your modified logo.bin through my program, it will fail validation because my program checks that the end of every data block for an image meets up to the next offset of the image. You would have to run your original logo.bin through, in order to edit it. It's just a safety to make sure my program won't output a bad logo.bin.

Yep, there's a certain limit to the JPG images, if you pass that limit, the image will render in a gray-to-black screen while booting. Some people managed to get it working with 400kb jpg files. Mine doesn't go up to 200kb because I've sightly downgraded the quality from 90% to 80%. Try doing the same if it works. I'm making the Note 5 one right now.

If you didnt made a param.bin backup, you need to reflash bootloader in odin. Btw it has nothing to do with the proximity sensor. It's working fine here (N910C).
Wow Nice work dev! please send me pm one where instead the of 4, 5?

Hope you enjoy this
Instructions for NON-Flashable ZIP:
1. Extract the zip file on your PC (Windows)

3. Navigate to folder where you extracted files.
4. Open "autoFlash_Logo.bat" and it will automatically install logo on your phone and again reboot your phone to BOOTLOADER mode.
5. That's it folks. Now reboot your phone and you'll get new BOOT LOGO

I wanted to change the boot animation because simple Samsung logo looked too still and bland.
Most of the ones I found online that are compatible with samsung's weird startup animation format (.qmg) are old and the resolution doesn't always fit.
So I made one, in Samsung Theme Designer. It is centered, and runs at a nice fps ratio. Tested on S20 only, but should work on the others.
It consists of the appearing then disappearing of the samsung logo. The letters write themselves in blue-ish and get erased in yellow-ish.
Please note that :
- This only works with Samsung ROMS. The file format is .qmg (samsung-specific!)
- The file I give you only concerns the second boot animation. That means that your phone will still show a still "samsung" before switching to this custom bootanimation
- I stole the independent image files from Bootiful, and I don't know where they stole it
- I know the "samsung" from my animation is not at the same place than the one from the first bootanimation but it was already a pain to resize so I don't think I will fix that
Installation steps :
1 - Download and unzip the file
2 - Make a copy of your old boot animation before so that you can go back if you're unhappy (/system/media/bootsamsungloop.qmg)
3 - Replace the file with the same name (bootsamsungloop.qmg) at /system/media .
4 - Done. Next time you boot it will appear

I wanted to change the boot animation because simple Samsung logo looked too still.
Most of the ones I found online that are compatible with samsung weird startup animation format are old and the resolution doesn't always fit.
The file format is .qmg
- The file I give you only concerns the second boot animation. That means that your phone will still show a still "samsung" before switching to this bootanimation
- I stole the independent image files from Bootiful, and I don't know where they stole it
- I know the "samsung" from my animation is not at the same place than the one from the first bootanimation but it was already a pain to resize so I don't think I will fix that
Installation steps :
- Download and unzip the file
- Make a copy of your old boot animation before so that you can go back if you're unhappy (/system/media/bootsamsungloop.qmg)
- Replace the file with the same name (bootsamsungloop.qmg) at /system/media .
- Done. Next time you boot it will appear

Hey, I don't think you can write /system/media/ without root, so no it doesn't.

Try and find out ig, I don't really remember how I dimensionned the images and I don't have any samsung device to try this on.
If you follow my guide, using step 2's file you can restore the old animation if the dimensions are not to your liking
