Random deletion of songs after installing LineageOS 15.0 - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hey guys! I've noticed that after installing LineageOS 15.0 my Redmi Note 4 randomly deletes songs from Spotify and YouTube Red videos that i've downloaded from my data/ WiFi. Tried to find a solution around but no luck :crying:
Are there any similar incidents to this and is there a fix?

[Q&A] Weird trouble Samsung Tab 2 7.0

Hi All,
I have a tab 2 7.0, which I installed slimrom onto. (latest)
TWRP is the boot loader. (2.8.5.0)
This combo has worked great since January.
Yesterday, it suddenly stopped working.
Problem started with error "Play store stopped working"
And one by one all the saoftwares started crashing. process.acore, Playstore, gmail, swiftkey, sheets, literally everything.
I didn't install any new software etc, or make any major changes to the software configuration.
i reinstalled slim rom, and also TWRP. same issue continues.
Is there a way to reset the entire tablet ?
maybe delete the partitions and recreate them ?
I read in another forum that htis is related to some issue with caching regarding the "acore" process, or perhaps play store. Sometimes process.com....gapps stops, sometimes its playstore, etc etc
But even after multiple times wiping the tab & reinstalling slimrom, the issue persists.
What's the solution for this?

Problem with Google services connection

Hi,
my phone is:
Redmi 3 Pro
Android 5.1.1 LMY47V
Miui Global stable 7.3.2.0.0 (LHPCNDD)
After two weeks of perfect usage, a problem with Google services connection appeared:
can't sync, can't enter gmail, Play Market, can't add new Google account, etc.
I've tried:
deleting Play Market's cache - no results
removing current Google account - no success, "doesn't permitted by administrator"
add new Google account - no success, since there's no connection to Google services.
reinstall Google services - no success, phone isn't rooted
back to factory defaults - worked for another two weeks, but then the problem reappeared.
Two weird things:
once in a while, in a couple of days, connection reestablishes for a minute and a sync is done
after a restart of the phone, connection to Google is good, but disappears after 2-3 minutes.
Is there any things I can try to do before flashing a new ROM?
I also have this problem, don't know what to do! Please help some one...if you fix this problem please share your guides.
Your are using a Shop Rom (Unofficial Room from the seller).
Better flash the official Global room from Xiaomi http://en.miui.com/download-298.html
Or the unofficial from xiaomi.eu https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424944320

Its official global rom by miui.
Your Version with 2 zero at the end show you have a Vendor room.
You can check here if you want https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/need-to-flash-7-3-2-0-0-lhpcndd-not-successful.33274/
Try installing Google play games, when it runs it will hopefully prompt to install or update Google play services as required. See if that helps

Apps crash every time I try to upload a video.

This problem happens to every Lenovo Vibe X3 user who had update stock ROM to android 6.0.1. Every time I try to upload a video on Facebook, Instagram, etc. the app just crash with the message 'Unfortunately, xxx has stopped working'. I've tried every basic solution one can think of, reduce video size, force stop, clear cache, clear data, reinstall, download apk of old version of the app, factory reset, root, flash a custom ROM(that is based on stock ROM because I can't find anything else) but nothing has solved the problem so I tried flashing 5.1.1 ROM and it worked. I can upload video in 5.1.1 but I want to use 6.0.1(for many reasons) and able to upload video. I think it's a ROM problem but I have zero knowledge about it.

No audio in calls with 4x Global (mido) after restoring backup - LineageOS 15.1/16.0

Hi,
recently I tried to restore a backup on my Redmi Note 4X (mido) from Lineage OS 15.1 to the same system from a few months earlier. Unfortunately I didn't know about the problem with restoring the Firmware as well, so I left it ticked and I got this problem: "extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255"
After that, I tried rebooting my phone but it had lost its IMEI, and I couldn't make calls or connect to mobile data (it could not detect my SIM card) or even wifi. To try to fix it I followed this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...3&postcount=10 by @ramping using the NON-HLOS.bin file I extracted from the Global version (I live in Italy). This is the file I extracted and used: https://ufile.io/n3gc24su
The file of the ROM is named miui_HMNote4XGlobal_V9.0.3.0.NCFMIEI_37d94c8e22_7. 0.zip (I can try to upload it as well, if it can be useful).
After that I rebooted my device and wi-fi and mobile data works fine again, but I can't hear any audio when I make or receive a call, and everyone on the other side doesn't hear anything as well. I Found a guide ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/lin...mi-a1-t3892858 ) to fix the problem, but after rooting my phone I found out that its build.prop file in/system doesn't have the "persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=true" string that I needed to edit. I tried to add a "persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=false" string to the file but it didn't work.
To try to fix this problem for good I rebooted my phone opening TWRP, I wiped cache/dalvik and system and I flashed the last official LinageOS 16.0 ROM for my device (up until then I was using the last official 15.1 one). Nothing changed even with the new version, and even with it the "persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=true" string is missing in the build.prop file. What can I do to solve my problem?
Don't you see a headset icon in your notification bar? Are you able to make a phone call with loudspeaker or with a headset? I think your 3.5 jack just stuck and the phone thinks that a headset is connected and thus it rerouted all sounds to the 3.5 jack.. Youtube is full of methods to clean it.. but it can happen that the module (built-in to the USB module) itself is dead.. that's a $2-$4 stuff on AliExpress.
PS: forget the fluence related build.prop values, those are for a different thing.

Xiaomi Redmi 12 Pro Spotify Problem

Hello all,
Recently I got the Redmi 12 pro with MIUI Global 13.0.6 Stable, Android version 12 SP1A.210812.016.
My problem is that I cannot start Spotify I get a message Something went wrong, try again? Also cannot log without password (error requesting link, pls try again)
Tried everything I found online (cleaning cache, data, reinstall, permissions, data usage, etc) and cannot start it.
Spotify Account is also OK, as I use it on all my other devices.
Spotify support says the problem is the phone...
Any ideas are welcome as I miss using Spotify on my phone
Thanks in advance!
