Hi,
Got a phone from my work place and IT guys did not setup correctly Intelligent Hub, so I won't have access to the phone till next week.
Currently I am able to make a factory reset via boot and then android opens (I have around 15 seconds, before Intelligent Hub blocks everythings and I have to auth with my work email, which won't work anyways).
How risky is to do factory reset with Intelligent Hub? Since this phone came already with it... also since I was able to open factory reset in android and via boot, it means that they forgot to lock it in settings? docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workspace-ONE-UEM/1811/VMware-Workspace-ONE-UEM-Android-Documentation/GUID-AWT-ONETIME-COMMANDS.html#GUID-AWT-ONETIME-COMMANDS

I've already done factory reset and although I forget first google account I still remember second one, unfortunately after login in android asked for new account and after I created it I forget this password as well. Unfortunately ui has stopped again and I did second factory reset - this time the only one account I still got password won't pass me through configuration phase. System recognizes me ( I see my avatar) but doesn't pass me through with this account. Recently Ulefone changed androidROM to 6 and I haven't done this yet and although new system seems to be corrupted and with lots of malware ( even ulefone on their facebook page admitted it) I wonder if flashing rom could help. I have do this from my pc since I can't have acces to my phone and - this is the best part - my windows can't see Vienna at all only Linux recognizes it. Is there any help?
Background :- My friend had an accident, after which he doesn't remember most stuff: including passwords to his email and his android pin. The doctor told us that it might help him with his recovery if he can see some old photos etc. So basically my plan is to unlock phone (Its a vibe k5 note) -> Then hope he has 2 factor authentication enabled on his phone, which would help me with resetting his google password etc.
Either ways, before doing that, I'm stuck with the resetting pin part for the phone.
I've tried using the dr.fone application to reset the pin, but it says that the the phone (k5 vibe note) is not supported. Friend hasn't set USB debugging on. If I go into recovery I get the lenovo recovery tool, which at best has the update from the update file option.
So, what do you think are my options here?
PS: I understand background sounds like some corny movie plot. But it isn't.
Hello. I ordered an android tablet recently on Craigslist. To make a long story short, there is a program limiting mostly anything and everything. Through various loopholes however, in a very roundabout way i can access the play store and download apps, however my goal is to factory reset the tablet and i haven't been successful. I seem to be at a wall and i can really use your guys's help
Things i tried:
-The standard factory reset with power button an volume keys, doesn't work
-Rooting the tablet, unsuccessful because the administrator blocks usb debugging
-Downloading programs from a browser to root, doesn't work because i can't allow unknown downloads
-Random apps that factory resets device, tablet just ignores
Does anyone know of any other ways i can unlock this tablet? Thanks guys
My completely stock Pixel 6 has been pretty smooth since the Jan update until I was using Google Maps today and my keyboard wouldn't open in any other app except tapping the search bar in Maps.
So I rebooted my phone.
Now, I'm permanently on a screen that says "Phone is starting...". I cannot enter my PIN. I can access notifications (but they don't populate). If open Settings from notifications, I can't tap anything otherwise it goes back to the "Phone is starting..." screen. I can't switch to the guest user. If I connect a USB and enable file transfer the device doesn't connect (I assume because I haven't signed into the phone). I don't have USB Debugging enabled.
I'm trying to get some photos and videos off the phone that I recorded today before they were uploaded to Google Photos.
Trying everything before factory resetting this piece of garbage.
Here's a video demonstrating things:
It's not bricked. Bricking means it can only be used as a brick, factory reset it will be the easiest thing you can do
Just factory reset it, or flash the ROM with the android flash tool
Android Flash Tool
flash.android.com
try this, make sure you unselect full wipe
After 247 posts, bricked needed defining?
I have a Motorola G Power (2021) that suddenly rebooted, without warning. When it powered back on the lock screen would not accept the PIN code that I have always used. I know that I am definitely using the correct code but something glitched and now I am locked out of my phone.
Doing a factory reset is NOT an option because my only recording of a loved one's voice/our final conversation before her death is on a file on the phone. So I cannot and will not do a factory reset to skip the code, or I lose that file.
I could easily transfer that file to my laptop via USB first and then do a factory reset, as everything else that matters on that phone – such as photos and videos – is backed up via Google and able to be restored. The audio file is not backed up to Google because it is from an app that does not back up to Google.
Unfortunately, when I connect the cell phone to the laptop, it does not show up because the default setting on the phone when USB is connected is set to charging, not file transfer. To change that setting, I have to enter the lock code... which no longer works.
So, I desperately need help figuring out how to get the laptop to recognize the cell phone and allow me to transfer the audio file off of it, without being able to get through the lock screen to change the USB settings... or how to bypass the lock screen without a working PIN.
I have Android Studio and I know that there are workarounds for phones that have Android Debugging enabled, which mine does. I just need someone knowledgeable to walk me through this.
HELP... PLEASE???
most likely that was only crashing/hot reboot otherwise google backup wouldn't work.
if you cold reboot the phone your files stay encrypted and can not accessed remotely, unless decrypted with lock screen pin.
on the other hand cold reboot might circumvent the deny of correct PIN (in case it was minor issue just caused by crash).
I think it's a patt situation. you will lose all files no matter what you try to get in. I would just do nothing for 24 hours and keep it charged.
if you have usb-debugging authorized you can try to access files from adb. first thing, backup your %UserProfile%\.android\adbkey.pub from all your computers you ever have connected the phone (important)
install usb drivers and download platform-tools, then type from cmd.exe
Code:
adb devices
adb pull -a /sdcard
