Yes, it totally works. Just like all of the ghost shows on TV. You just have to use it right.
Turn off all of the lights
Turn on IR mode on your video camera
Yell "What the f* was that?" every 30s
Wait for the cat to run by
Yell "Did you see that?!" 5 times
Profit
thanks
thankz.............
just to bump this thread and bring it back to life (pun in there somewhere), Ghost Radar is the app of the day today
I'm not big on paranormal stuff, but more-so interested in what the app is *actually* doing in the background-- especially the method it uses to choose it's words-- what it's listening for, how it interprets information.. etc
Anyone know? I'm not looking to expose any controversies and contradict anyone's experiences with the app.. just being curious It's clearly a well made, well thought out app, and I'm sure it'll get a bump in attention now that it's free, and right around Halloween time.
Can someone plz explain why it's so hard for the devs to come up with a functional location based reminder?
The GPS/Location/Data connection would have to be on all the time for such a reminder to know where I'm at (For example to tell me to tank every time I cross the border to Belgium because gas is cheaper there than in Holland)
So by functional I mean some app which will turn your GPS and other bt draining apps/services only on hourly bases (or only at the timed intervals you specify).
All the threads and projects i found on this are dead.
When i first googled to find an app like that it didnt even cross my mind that it wouldnt exist. To me it was so obvious that a smartphone should be doing this.
i'm absolutely dumbfounded that ppl have been talking about this over 2 years, and yet NOTHING.
If i was a dev, if for nothing else, i'd come up with this app just for financial reasons. Just imagine how such an app would sell...

Hi, I am just searching for a good Android watch, which is most important for use during meetings (not getting the phone, but just to decide to ignore phone calls or take the important ones in one view) and for fun in my spare time.
I know it is a bit geeky to wear something, but this one is less ugly than most of the other watches I found for Android.
I just found this website http://www.wimm.com/wimm_preview.html
Just curious if some one uses this or found an ever better looking watch.
Money is not the issue, it is for my birthsday so my wife pays for it!!!
I saw Sony Smartwatch, but I didn't like the design of that...
So, just looking for a good watch working with our device...
What do you suggest?
Hi everyone
I've just published an app for Android Wear and would like to hear your thoughts on it.
It's called "Wear Expenses Tracker". The concept is very simple - record all your expenses using android watch. Tracking my expenses is something I always wanted to do, but taking out my phone every time I buy something is a little bit too high effort, so that habit never developed. Trying to solve this problem for myself and hopefully other people would find it useful as well.
Unfortunately I am unable to post links since I am new to this forum, but I advise searching for "Wear Finance" on the Play Store to find it (my app hits first result normally).
What do you think of the concept and usecase? Any tips on UX/UI? I am also planning to implement categories (labels), import/export and other functionality. Which are the most crucial features do you think app is missing?
Looking forward to hearing from you

So far so good.
I can see this being useful on a trip, take a running total of how much I am spending.

Would you use it for tracking day-to-day expenses? (e.g. restaurants, grocery, basically everything that is not recurring like rent/subscriptions and more difficult to track and estimate).

I would use it mainly when I am on vacation, just came back from a weeks vacation.
It be nice to have a running count on how much the vacation is costing me.
Day to day expenses not sure but you know it maybe nice to see how much I am spending say for coffee each day.
Idea have the ability to do more than one expense list,
Click on a button "Lists",
Vacation
Coffee
Work
Home Renovation
Just an idea....
Looks nice. :good:
I am admittedly awful when it comes to my finances (ask my wife). This apps seems like a great idea.:good:
Just wanted to let you know that I released an update with fresh design and ability to set a monthly budget! Let me know what you think

The most important features to me in an expense tracker are:
Categories - and ability to view how much has been spent in each category compared to eachother (i.e. in a pie chart) and to do this by month, year, and all-time.
Compare total amount spent between different months
A nice feature but not necessary would be to compare how much was spent on a certain category between months. i.e. for the category "Food" how much was spent in July vs June vs May etc. Visualisation with a graph would be a nice touch.

Hello,
Frankly speaking I can't understand what and how exactly your app work. Can you explain in more detail?

I agree so. Its look likely a bit complicated
Could this be something you can link with other apps/software such as You Need a Budget (YNAB)?
It's great to see some growing interest in creating new watchface designs. I see new entries via he Gear app every week.
There seems to be:
- A focus on surfacing every possible function that the Fit 2 provides on most watchfaces. This results in some really busy designs, driving the point size of the activity values to ever decreasing sizes. It's not just my aging eyes that have a hard time reading many of these values, but even when I am wearing glasses (I correct to 20/15) these values are nearly impossible to read when exercising. Sometimes displaying everything, because you can, is not the best design decision.
- A lack of functionality that allows the user to select what activity values are displayed. Maybe this is a limitation of Samsung's dev tool kit?? If so, then that explains it. If not, it sure would be great to disable values that I would never want to see, such as Water and Caffeine - even Calories is useless for me. I realize this is personal, but that's why I ask the question about customization.
As I said in another thread, maybe it's best for me to just get the dev tool kit and create something for myself.
I agree. I finally hit that age where I need to wear readers for smaller text. None of the watch faces allowed me to view them without the readers. So, I did download the watch face designer and created my own. I have two that I go back and forth on. Both have large font for the time/steps/battery so I can see them while i'm exercising or just walking.
I just released a minimal large font watchface free in the store right now, might be to your liking.

Some of them are definitely too busy so I decided what I wanted to see on my watch face and then created my own (still pending Samsung approval to be listed in the store). It leans toward the small but more functional side.

I'm pretty new to this, but the Gear Watch Designer (GWD) doesn't allow one to select activities on the watch itself as far as I could find. The Samsung-made watch faces have the Stylize button to select colors and such and I can't even figure out if that's possible in GWD. One can't even select 12hr/24hr on a watchface, let alone activities. It would be a good idea though.

It's not really that hard to do. Samsung has a pretty good tutorial on their site. If you don't plan on submitting to their store, it's even easier.
Having said that, once I get Samsung to approve my current submission, I plan to make others (all free of course) and I wouldn't mind making one for you. What sort of concept do you have in mind? Activities needed, etc. This kind of stuff is a fun hobby for me and a way to give back to the XDA community.
Coal:
Thanks for the offer. When I get some time, I am going to dive in myself. I might start with something like the Black Modern by minimin, but I'd make it more readable.

Yes, that one is mine. was my first watchface and I tried to make match the request of 2 posts I saw on a different thread before you guys posted.
I plan to make more and do requests after we finish moving to our new home. Not sure if anyone is actually buy this device though. My next watchface I'm going to see about adding a pseudo flashlight button.

Hi Coal,
I've just started to make my own watch faces too for the GF2. Here is a comment from the Samsung Developers Forum on how to create a Stylize/change colors at least...
The first issue I've had is using an example as a template then activating the "Always on Display" view. When I uploaded my watchface to my GF2 it would cycle through the "layers" of my watch face then resort back to a pre-loaded Samsung watch face. So now, I just do not try and add that feature in... Good Luck! I may upload something after I practice a LOT more!
