I made a magisk module to permanently disable any and all thermal throttling on op2
All support related queries should go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-disable-thermal-throttling-t3517882

Why would somebody want to disable thermal throttling?
It's the devices's way to keep the device from damaging itself.
Why dont simply we just use 'thermal-engine.conf' in etc? There are different types of configs from stock to gaming profiles.

Let me tell you this, I was just like you in the past. I used to think that thermal throttling disablers would make my phone burn
However, I just happened to try it once and really, I haven't felt like going back ever since
And don't worry I've reached 100°c without issue
How do I install Magisk on my OP2? I'm on RR Android 6.

Doesn't damage below 100 °C. Dont know how far it can go above that but the CPU can reach 100 °C without damaging.
I would not recommend going over 105 °C though.

sure, if you wanna keep it for 10 years, mine is unthrottled and works like the first day, just better in many aspects and it's heading into it's third year and has already stopped being on of my 2 main drivers.
this thermal throttling has been implemented to serve all the fear shaken users that made a story for nothing just because it was a few degrees warmer than other phones. i own 6 phones including samsungs and nexus phones all top of the line and they all get hot.
storm in a waterglass it is and nothing else, i never ever got hurt through heat, neither did my wife complain.
thruth hurts yes and this is user self-inflicted, there has never been a reason for this throttling, it was self-protection by qualcomm and some OEMS
after the pre-release uproar.
Finally i got to active A57 core all the time tq dev but one question does this work for lineage 15.1 ?
So my charging port got damaged and it used to take hours to charge the phone while not using it, then I got it repaired recently
But I notice that while charging it, the battery keeps decreasing, I am using the original charger. I did also try a few other chargers but it seems to be the same
My battery does increase when screen is off and I leave it aside for a level, at a slower rate.
I want to know how to fix this battery decreasing while charging?
Try to install kernel again.
Agni kernel give you the option for thermal libs and more. This may change your charge time.
If not work for you, see in the forum a post with diode problem.

use agni kernel with alternative thermal libs =)
if you dont like agni kernel i dont know other fix for it.
in my opinion you may try this and if it worked search alternative fix... but you know the problem.
if not try it you dont know if the thermal libs can solve your issue.
yopu try with other chargers... but with other cable???

Here I'm sharing force fast charging magisk module for poco f1.
There are 2 modules here. Choose one of them that suits your phone best.
My suggestion: If you live in higher room temperature then you should go for 2600mAh otherwise choose 3300mAh
Installation:
Go to magisk manager.
Tap on Modules.
Select the module from your storage.
Reboot the device.
That's all
Thank you.
Please mention what's the use of these modules. Do they make phone charge faster?

Great mods
Thanks for sharing these mods, but folks should realize that higher charging currents greatly reduce battery longevity as well.

Yo, this works wonders. I'd run back to stock rom every now and then just bc I missed how fast I could charge. Now I have it on every other rom bc of this mod. Thank you ?
I have CPU-Z paid installed and Accubattery Pro that never displays more than 96% charged despite fully charged on the stock ROM.....is the security app blocking it?
CPU-Z Pro is fine but not on screen....
Any recommendations for one of the best on screen real time system info CPU, GPU, RAM etc paid app...
Hoping to hear your expert recommendations.
Thanks.

So you want something with an overlay of system resource usage?
I use FKM for that.

Correct, Real time.
FKM looks good, but I believe it requires rooting and does kernels tweaking.
My cell isn't rooted, plus at this age I don't think I'd be able to root.. just a retired noob trying to learn at this age..
Probably take it to phone shop..
Plus with root won't be able to get auto updates..
Thanks anyways for the recommendation.

Never too old to learn, but unfortunately yes, rooting would be required to have that feature with FKM.
I've also used this app in the past, but not since getting the RN9P. Not as detailed as FKM but it may suffice for your needs and I don't recall a root requirement.
Cpu Float - Apps on Google Play
CpuFloat (free) gives you system information on top of the current app.
play.google.com
DevCheck has pretty good dashboard of how system resources are used and general information on almost everything.
regarding your worries of battery not charging 100%, you should be glad. to put very short what helps these Lithium-ion batteries endurance, the less time battery spends at charge levels >90% and <40% the better it for the battery

Any guide to root RN9Pro?
I'm running a debloated stock ROM.
Rooting would interfere with autoupdates.. correct?
Would require a custom recovery and a custom ROM?
Thanks.

Hi guys.
My pocophone F1 developed bad battery life and I found it had a bulge in its battery and I replaced the battery. Now even with the new battery I'm only getting 3.5 hours of screen in time. With moderate use. No gaming.
I used gsam battery monitor to get more information. : here are the screen shots.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you sure the battery is original?
Go to my POCO F1 Ultimate Collection & Guides thread, at Battery Tips and do Battery Calibration. Then check your Battery Health Capacity and post a screenshot with the results.
PS: If you are on stock ROM I recommend you to move on custom ROM. MIUI drain your Battery fast.
OK I will do that. Meanwhile I have noted that the battery drains very fast when the screen is on. (I'm using a low brightness setting) like 1% every 5 minutes. Any suggestions?
And "Power consumed by other apps" is always high

If you don't mind using the device plugged in at least when indoors with bypass charging you should be able to extract a lot more mileage out of the original battery.

Oh. I am still using the original one. 27 months old, 73% capacity. Since enabling bypass charging only 56 battery cycles used up in the last 9 months. Otherwise I think I would have been forced to look into a third-party replacement by now considering the very heavy usage. Official battery is exorbitantly priced.
I have been using mine since Feb 14 2019 and that's over 34months. Just few 2days ago I noticed drastic battery drain although often it's on heavy use. Now I can't restart my phone and boot up except when I plug it to the charger because it boots up. I am on stock ROM? Right now I don't mind installing custom ROM it will fix the problem.

It appears the battery is shot and needs to be replaced. If rooted you check the battery capacity from the built-in kernel profile. Actually I revoked root access from Device Info HW app and it was still showing battery capacity as derived from the kernel profile so maybe it doesn't require root? Also recently MIUI had the option to show battery capacity and cycle count without root...

Install Device Info HW app and check under Battery section.
Mines at 2912mAh.
Accubattery is another option and in F1 I found it to be pretty accurate. But it requires several charging sessions for the estimate.

Looks like w/o root it's not possible to read the data from the kernel profile after all. Xiaomi seems to have removed the necessary stuff later from MIUI. That article is out of date.
I would refrain from flashing MIUI at this stage. Have you unlocked the bootloader? Almost every report of irreversible bootloop seems to involve MIUI.

If you have never unlocked the bootloader of any Xiaomi device before I guess you need to create an account and apply for unlocking permission. For Poco devices it's a 3 day wait period but in my case and several others besides it was near instant. I had last gone through this over 2 years ago so I am not sure if anything has changed or not. Do keep in mind that unlocking the bootloader will wipe out out the internal storage so make backups beforehand as required.
In the meantime install Accubattery. For quicker estimate a few 10-100% cycles will suffice. Discharging lower might cause random shutdowns etc. if it's the battery at fault.
