Hello. This is a build of descendant targeted at Ali that has been shared/used on telegram for awhile now. Original developer of the rom is Dil3mm4.
Must be used on official pie base (vendor/boot, etc). If on Oreo base, you must use the official gsi variant instead. This is March security patch but has patch level overridden for safetynet.
Changes from official gsi variant:
- gapps/vanilla builds are separate with AppInfo reverts in vanilla build to fix settings without gapps.
- Google Fi completely works including carrier switching. Various other carrier/radio improvements.
- Prints/props from official pie release to pass safetynet/device registration out of the box.
- Targeted at armv8-a cortex-a53 opposed to armv7-a-neon generic.
- Qcom IMS for volte, other carrier blobs added.
- Fully functional MotCamera2 incl portrait, play store upgradeable.
- Qcom perf fixed/integrated.
- sdcardfs enabled.
- (SUBS BROKE FOR NOW)No treble overlay apk in use, so substratum works without additional hacks.
- hwui/art configs from stock pie.
- qcom sepolicy to fix battery stats being reset on reboot and for qcom telephony support.
- NFC removed entirely from build due to constant background crashing.
- Beginning of notification sound being cut off fixed (audio offload changes).
- Call recording setting shown (don't break the law in your jurisdiction).
- Hotword enrollment blobs added from stock pie. Fixes voice enrollment, but hotword only works over Bluetooth or headset devices.
Bugs:
- okgoogle hotword doesn't work.
- no nfc.
- upgrades sometimes affect safetynet (unsure here).
- Boost mobile may have issues with LTE. Some users report as working, others not. Recent IMS changes may have fixed this (they fixed Sprint for me on Fi).
- Some networks may have DHCP issues (fix incoming).
Install instructions:
- Be on leak or official pie base (vendor, boot, etc). Be sure to backup system prior. Be using dejello's unofficial twrp.
Files: descendant for pie with G6 specific changes (always download most recent of gapps or vanilla (nongapps).

Recommended camera and long exposure mod: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g6/themes/gcam-4-2-mods-magisk-2x-exposure-mod-ali-t3917609
Disable encryption zip: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389
- Wipe data if unencrypted. Format data if encrypted (will erase entire internal storage. You can stay unencrypted even on stock pie to keep data).
- Flash image to system.
- Flash Forceencrypt zip and magisk 18.1 zip.
- Reboot to setup wizard ?.
- If magisk manager is not displayed due to data wipe, there are no issues with reflashing magisk with your device setup.
Upgrading: Flash system.img and reboot. Reflash microg if using, no need for reflash of magisk or gapps if using either.
All good on VZW xt1925-6 ontop of Brazilian stock pie
I missed some props in R3 for volte. It will be fixed in R3.1, but until then you may install voenabler in magisk to add the props for volte/vowifi.
One doubt, that is an new system based on pie like lineageOs?
Is 64x?
Can I use it normally?
I'm waiting for a os 64x for mine g6 xt1925-3 64 ROM like One..
If yes for all mine questions I'll trie to install it...

It's just an arm system image to be installed on top of official pie. Arm64 support will take vendor and kernel/ramdisk changes as well, and is quite a lot to do -- especially alone.
R4 uploaded. Changes from R3:
- Fixed substratum (accidental break in R3).
- Fixed volte.
- Added fully functional MotCamera2 with HDR, portrait, etc. Also play store upgradeable ?.

Yes, fingerprint gestures is currently a WIP that will be integrated soon through an open source lineage-based alternative fingerprint gesture handler.
I'm also going to start doing builds of resurrection remix with these repos (changes).

Is this a 64bit rom ?
I was wondering if this current rom is stable enough for daily use and if it's a 64bit rom ?

I've been running it as a DD for around a month, as well as many others (my household has two G6 in use, and both have been on it). Aside from bugs listed, nothing else I'm aware of.

If you're after gcam, the linked 3.2 bsg mod does take very good photos aside from dots and vignette that will probably never be fixed on our device. It's a lens issue that affects all gcam versions that other phones such as the op3/5 had, but with their camera sensors it was easier to fix. The OV12A10 (and omnivision in general) is notoriously hard to work on. Many tried for mi a1 dots which had a huge userbase with no luck.
I've only been able to improve digital noise slightly through using lavender eeprom and disabling digital gain while in low light.

Not likely to get a 64 bit ROM anytime soon. You can all stop asking now.

davidmueller13, please don't get me wrong: I do appreciate your work; in fact, I'm on one of your 5.1.1 ROMs. But I'd much rather have a fully working/stable Marshmallow, than an experimental/developmental Nougat on my P-605...
That's just silly.
7.1 should be better for this tablet because of the pen and no bloat.
Been waiting to try for a while. But I use the tablet for work. Working on getting another beater so I can flash this.
Thank you for continuing progress.

Silly, you say? Nougat has way more Google integration going on. Some of us don't like the direction Google is taking with android development...
The pen works just fine on any ROM, so I'm not sure what you mean...
And the bloat, well that's up to the dev to remove; or you can do it yourself later if rooted.
Hi folks
Awesome build - installed it in few minutes along with twrp and Gapps. Everything seems to work fine...
Except:
- could someone tell me how to update modem? My sim card is not recognized. (Not from issue though)
- is there a way to completely turn of buttons backlight? I do not really need light there.
Thank you very much!
EDIT: I found an instruction and will flash stock 5.1.1 and than will repeat the 7.1 flash.
Also magnetic cover works for me - locks/turns screen off and on. Coming from 4.4.2 - that's why sim card is not detected... Working on it.
Thanks,
EDIT2: I flashed with odin stock 5.1.1 (P605XXU1EOI5_P605BTUEOJ1_P605XXU1EOI5_HOME) and than rooted and flashed twrp 3.0.2.0.
Than I repeated all steps and flashed 7.1 + gapps + SU.
... SIM Card is NOT detected again... Which baseband and modem do I need? Can someone post a link for exact parts?
Thanks,

My bootloader is P605XXU1EPD2 and baseband version P605XXU1EOI5. Try installing Samsung Phone Info from Google Play and check your baseband version. I had to flash to firmware twice to get the new baseband version.
Edit. This is the site I downloaded the firmware:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P605
I think I downloaded the newest but I'm not certain. Probably all 5.1.1 versions should work.
Good morning
Thanks for all the efforts to let be our device P605 an up to date tool!!!
I'm not sure if already stated precisely in some other post ( in such a case my apologies to ask again) but I would ask to the Developer and even to the Users if this extremely interesting upgrade will let be possible the use of S-pen with the std samsung app "S Note" and if files ( using this device for my work notes I have hundreds of documents to maintain..) generated up to now ( I'm still on 5.1.1) with S Note app could be recovered
Thanks again !!!!

Indeed the baseband and modem were not updated.
Is there a way to make sure they will once flashing with odin, or I have to check manually after each flash (boot and check in settings)?
Thanks.

Back in the days when I had my Note 3 the correct way to flash new bootloader/baseband was to take off the battery and wait some time, then plug in the battery and immediately to boot to odin mode. Otherwise the new modem would not stick and especially if the new firmware was for a different country code than the original. The other way round was to flash twice. Probably the best way with P605 is to turn of the device, wait a minute and then boot immediately to odin mode.

HUGE THANKS!
It worked - flashed twice latest 5.1.1. from sammobile and now I have the same boot and base as yours.
Now 4G works great on aosp 7.1. Also had to restart couple of times.
We own 3 years old tablet with the latest firmware - AWESOME! :good:
Still on 6.0.1 on my S7 Edge though... :silly:
Now I only need to find a way to disable the button back-light - it is really annoying...
I use it mostly for games and youtube kids movies for my little son. For book reading also bad, as it will light up on every page change.

I've disabled auto brightness and set it to ~40% and... Got 9 straight hours youtube playback via wifi in 30 hours standby. Great! Love nougat.
Think that LTE sucks a lot of power...
If there was a way to disable button light - would be perfect and last rom for my note.

My goal is to provide monthly updated builds with the latest security patches merged based on the sources of @Valera1978 from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-lineageos-14-1-android-7-1-2-nougat-t3706002
I am owner of the SM-T585 which I'm using as daily driver, but I am not the maintainer of the sources, so I dont know if I can help if code adjustments are necessary. Please only report issues that are only appear in the updated, but not in the original, build.

me to, on sm-t580! great! thank's a lot ?
Flashed my SM-T580 today and everything is working great, many thanks to @cschsz! This totally qualifies to become official!
Can confirm, working smoothly on T-580!
It works like a charm with a sm-t580, very stable and bug free rom. If anyone (like me) miss the themes from other roms, I tested swift black theme and it works with no problem at all in substratum legacy mode.
Good job, thanks.

Installed this ROM yesterday. Everything great so far except I like to have the wifi OFF when the device is asleep. That Wifi->Advanced setting does not appear to work for me. Wifi stays on permanently regardless. Anybody else have this issue?
EDIT: Ignore this... I played around with the setting and it seems to have freed it up somehow. Working ok!
I have to say again: I’m so happy that cschsz is willing to provide further updated builds in the future. I think the SM-T580 and 585 are great devices - especially for the price.
And being able to use LineageOS makes them really great options for anyone who’s looking for a low priced but capable tablet.
my firewall blocks -linux kernel- very often. why? is this really neccesary that this process is calling somwhat?
Just out of curiosity: with 6.0 I have had GPS issues, I. Especially my T580 has heavy problems to find GPS. Does this version has the problem as well?
Camera and Bluetooth working? I'm asking becuz I have seen notes for Linage 15 that this doesn't work. Therfore I'm curious.

1. What is this firewall for Android? Never heard of anything like this.
2. To which address is "linux kernel" trying to connect?
3. Did only the updated build show this or also the original one?

Is GPS really working for you on T585? Does it get a lock in device only mode, for example in the "GPS test" app?
Just as a q: I installed now this ROM and have problems installing Xposed Framework. Namely I dowloaded it and neiter 89 nor 88.2 versions are working. The installer that library libdvm.so was not found.
Any hints how to install the Xposed Framework properly?
Hi all,
as the GSI topic here is still having a few issues, i have created a gsi overlay as per phhussons instructions:
https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/How-to-create-an-overlay
The source code can be found here:
https://github.com/mKenfenheuer/vendor_hardware_overlay
Build/install instructions:
(Assuming you have a recent Ubuntu/Debian/Mint Linux machine running)
1. Install xmlstarlet and dos2unix
2. Go to build folder
3. Run bash build.sh
4. Copy treble-overlay-realme-x2pro.apk to /system/overlay in your gsi.
5. add the following property to /vendor/build.prop or replace with the attached build.prop
# Patch to add device specific match for treble overlays by mkenfenheuer
ro.vendor.build.overlay.deviceid=RMX1931
Works (confirmed by me):
- Always on display
- 90hz display
'Should' be working:
- Enables DT2W option but enabling does not seem to have any effect to me.
- VOLTE - i cannot test as my carrier does not offer this anymore
- more reliable network connection (i have noticed far less lte issues, but this is my perception)
MISC:
- Imported the settings from realme vendor (i don't know if they are nescessary)
If there are any issues, simply delete the file from /system/overlay with recovery file manager and reboot.
I've added the compiled apk to this post, in case you do not want to build it yourself.

I copy your .apk overlay to /system/overlay and reboot. I am on evolution gsi phh based. Nothing change as far as i notice.
Great initiative @mKenfenheuer !
I'll look into the settings to see if there are other that we could use!
@ospeto from what I see in the commits try to see if volte works and if you can switch user profiles.

I can switch user profiles just fine. Havent test volte though. By the way , the maximum brightness of gsi roms are not as bright as stock rom. Is there any fix for it?. I tried setting backlight to 255 but still not fixed.

I assume switching user profiles has not been working until now?
I have just unlocked my bootloader and started working on the kernel source so lets hope i can get this moving.
I will focus on the kernel first and once this is working we can start with getting other things working.

I haven't switch user profile before so i also am not sure. Should i delete your apk and test again?. I can't test volte cuz my sim provider stopped supporting volte. Thank you so much for your effort. I hope you can fix brightness, 90hz display and on display fingerprint. That would be very helpful for gsi users.
The fingerprint must be an overlay issue because even with bootloader unlocked it still works
Problems I'm facing with evolutionx gsi
1-no fingerprint or face unlock (face unlock was removed from Android Q but it can be added)
2-there's no 90 hz refresh rate
3-speaker volume is lower than color is
4-brightness is slightly lower than color os also
5-need the stock camera app for video recording because gcam isn't that reliable with video recording

There is a fix for the 90hz issue for the OPPO device
90hz just fixed with dtbo.img flashing. U can find it on your how to flash android 10 gsi post's comment. I am using with 90hz now and it is working flawlessly.

Yeah just flashed it and it's amazing
@exadeci all changes were merged into phhussons main repo and will be available in the next release.
He will also include a option in settings to force the display to a specific frame rate (eg.g 60hz) as 90hz will be the default with the overlay.

This is great. Does FOD not working mean that it's not working on the lock screen or in like apps that use the biometric api?

Hello I am currently running the Xiaomi EU Rom and am looking for instructions on how to install this Rom, could someone please provide them here.
Hi all,
I have created a GSI based on latest PHH AOSP Android 12. Thanks PHH for his great work.
What is LeOS:
1. It's full ungoogled
2. It includes full Working MicroG
3. It includes Seedvauld
4.The beta version is a minimal version which only includes some essential apps. But with an easy install script, you can create a 'full' version with more FOSS apps.
5. available for now arm64bvS, a64bvS. Both in VNDK and VNDK lite available.
6. no google Apps will work !!!!
You can download latest release at
LeOS-Cloud: https://leos-cloud.de/s/JFrFgLgSSTEMtmL /
Proton_drive: https://drive.proton.me/urls/JF352AYSS4#YkXliW8T03Cp
(ProtonDrive needs a bit before download list is showing)
Which variant do I pick
To know which variant to download, use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kevintresuelo.treble . Don't use other Treble Check apps, they'll give wrong informations.
Which vendor to use?
1. Always use your actual device's vendor
2. Always use OEM unmodified vendor, not some custom vendor
3. This includes boot.img. boot.img and vendor MUST BE the same version.
4. Android 10 / 11 / 12 OEM vendor is needed.
LeOS-S is still in Beta and does have some bugs.
Know bugs you will find on PHH release page

LeOS is really fantastic and already in early A12 stage usable as a daily driver. For all who are looking for a gsi far away from the Google claws, LeOS is the best decision. Thx for gr8 work.
Hello here!
Great work...thanks.....will try it soon...
Hi there! First of all thank you for great rom. Install it on OnePlus N10 5G. Working great with exeption of some common errors from phh gsi.
Google maps and Signal not recognize micro gms. I enable sig faking already. Would be good if you give me advise how to fix it, because I using some app for my work that relayed on gms.

No google app should work on LeOS. I have removed a lot of google code to get it ungoogled. But gmaps should work in browser.
You have setup the MicroG selftest and location backends?
Signal, you mean it is not registered in MicroG? I don't know / use Signal so I can't say for sure what's wrong and why Gms is needed for it.
Best you will join us in telegram or matrix. Than the other users can help you. As far as I know, we have some Signal users in group
Thank you. Signal works fine but it warns that system missing gms, same with maps. What you use on matrix - Element?

Hello,
I'm currently running [[AOSP 11.0_r40][all-in-one] microG ufOfficial](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/aosp-11-0_r40-all-in-one-microg-ufofficial-cve-august-2021-arm32-64-vndklite.4281231/) by @oF2pks.
I'm looking at LeOS-S GSI beta. Features I'm interested in:
* Integrated and fully working MicroG.
* Seedvault included.
* Degoogled as much as possible.
Questions:
* Speaking of aosp / lineage. Is settings -> Accessibility in there i.e. can I sideload TTS voices and Google Accessibility suite or have you also stripped off these when degoogling?
* After flashing LeOS-S, are developer settings and ADB already enabled or do I have to enable them?
* I have Xiaomi Redmi 9 code name gallahad with Android 10 vendor. System partition is part of so called super partition and even with vndklite variant of AOSP I can't make the system mounting read write. Also there is no working TWRP for this device as far as I know. Is there a way to selectivelly disable or reenable the root features with LeOS-S? phh-securize needs an ability to write to system partition, can I make it work somehow?
* Initially I'd like to restore my backups using adb and copying files as root. Then I'd like to disable root so I can run banking apps and use seedvault for backing up my apps.
* As for seedvault will it only backup apps which can be backed up with ADB or can it backup all user installed apps along with their data? For example FairEmail can't be backed up using ADB.
* I think LeOS-S is now based off of lineage. Can lineage call recording be made to work? Or alternativelly is there a way to install axet call recorder as a system app?
I'm going to backup my stuff and try out these things for my-self one after the other. If I can get some hints I'll appreciate it and I might be able to make it work.
Thanks for great rom
Greetings

question 1:
sure, all google sh...t is removed. TTS is replaced with open source app from e.foundation
2. you have to enable them as on every other rom/GSI
3. you can flash LeOS-S on devices with Android 10 or 11 vendor
4. seedvault is integrated, but I'm not sue that the restore will work when swapping the OS
5. You can remove root be with an integrated option
6. LeOS-R is based on LOS18.1 and LeOS-S is based on AOSP
axet call recorder I don't know. Call recording is not allowed on most european countries. So I never have used such thing.
I'm using true phone on my personal build and it's including a call recorder
I prefer joining my telegram group. there we can chat and you can get help from whole community
