I recently noticed that whenever I take pictures under low light conditions, horizontal lines (with the phone in landscape mode) appear on the image I took. I attached a sample image.
As you guys can see, it looks really bad . Is this a camera defect or does it have something to do with the firmware? I've searched this forum and found no results of other people having the same problem. BTW I'm running Leomar75's Revolution ROM 2.7.1 (2.3.5, XXKI3), I've searched that thread too and found nothing regarding this. Thanks!
Apologies if this topic had been covered, but i could not seem to find an answer through searching the forums. I installed Adyscorpius MIUI 4 Rom and all seems well except that when i okay youtube videos or videos in the gallery player, there is a thick green bar present at the bottom of the clip and the color of the video has ablue tinge to it and some have red or green shadow artifacts. does anybody know if there is a solution for this?
Regards
Theres no solution for this yet...it's CM9 bug, so just wait for fix from CM9 developers...
using RN4 snapdragon running Cardinal AOSP. No matter which camera app i use the video recording is always dark and cropped in. Its even worst watching the video on a pc as the video is dark as well as zoomed in or cropped into almost half. Whats causing this problem and whats the solution ?? I believe the video quality is not like that in Stock MIUI rom.

That's zoomed because video stabilization is enabled i guess, but idk about the dark video
Hi All,
I'm trying to watch netflix on my s9+ but in dark scenes, the colours look absolutely freaking terrible. Really washed out and compressed. Is this a netflix issue or a setting on the phone ?
Bro go to settings-advanced features and then enable the video enhancer or if its already enabled then disable it. Do it as your personal preference.
Black crush is a problem in S9+
Workaround
I was able to view content again that was not too dark to watch by uninstalling latest Netflix app and then installing v4.12.1 from apkmirror. com
Hi,
I have Mi 11x Pro (haydnin) stock firmware 12.0.2-12.5.2.
I am having this really annoying colours issue on HDR videos. All HDR videos have really bad color banding in dark areas and the colours appear grayish. The HDR is activated (as I can't change color filters in toolbox) but the videos don't look anything like they should.
I have played side by side with another HDR capable device Asus zenfone 5z and Poco F3 GT (K4O Pro Game enhanced edition). The difference is quite night and day.
Setting the phone in day mode almost fixes the color banding , but the colors are still dull and grayish and the blacks look like I'm using an LCD mobile!
Here see for yourself. A video speaks more than billion words.
If you have this device.
Please set it to night mode.
Set brightness to full.
Play this video on YouTube from 2:30 onwards. (
)
And let me know if you have the ugly color banding and greyish colours as well.
Confirmed the same issue. Seems that Xiaomi has not handled HDR content well

Yes. Absolutely unacceptable if you advertise this phone as having an award-winning display. Please mention your mobile version and firmware version too.

I'm using K40 Pro + Xiaomi.eu 21.8.11
I'm thinking of the incompatibility between Miui and Youtube app when playing HDR content.

It's not only YouTube. But every platform I tested, it is buggy.
UPDATE:
ADDED A BRIEF VIDEO of the issue as compared a a device without this issue (Poco F3 GT)

I returned the device. But if you can't. I suggest you use SVP video player from playstore. It'll give you right colours.
Clear camera cache and reset the setting in the camera app and set picture quality at highest

I'm not talking about the camera pics/videos.
HDR is terrible in the Mi 11i. It oversharpens and has inconsistent saturation. I'm hoping they'll address that in the MIUI 13 update.
