Hallo,
after rooting an IRULU X9 tablet (4.4 kitkat) with Kingoapp it seemed that all works fine, no issues, no error messages.
But always when I restart the system it makes a factory reset and all settings are gone and all installed apps, nothing is there anymore. It begins with the Day, time settings . . .
Does somebody has any idea?

I have a problem that I cannot seem to figure out.
I recently rooted my Samsung GS2 I7777: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36191155#post36191155 Whether or not that is relevant, I am not sure.
When I click "Settings>More..." the screen goes black and after a minute I receive the following error:
"Unfortunately, Settings has stopped."
This only happens clicking "more..." The rest of Settings is fine. I believe this part of Settings has to do with USB, correct?
I Googled around and found no solutions. I figured something had been corrupted recently and the easiest solution would be a factory reset since I have not done much with the phone. I unrooted and I made backups and went ahead.
After the reset was complete, the problem persisted. I did not reinstall my backups or sync with my Google account. I tried a factory reset + cache wipe via Android System Recovery E3, but the result was the same. I have tried resetting four times now, but still Settings does not work despite the seemingly fresh state of the phone. I did not install any roms, if that matters.
How can this be? And how can I completely revert back to stock or get my Settings working again?
Edit: Seems to be the same problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1862040
ideas?
Edit: went ahead and installed a rom. all is good.
Hello all,
Since couple of days my phone is acting really weird. Here are the specs:
Brand: Huawei U8800 ideos X5
Rom : Aurora 4.1, update 20
Recovery: cwm
I was installing an app from the market and suddenly the phone restarts and every app starts to crash (Unfortunately...... has stopped) with the downloading app stuck at the notification at 80 % forever without progressing. The weird thing is I can't uninstall any app. I can uninstall, but after booting every app uninstalled appears as if it's not Uninstalled at all.
So I decide to do a factory reset using CWM. Cwm says reset is successful, so I restart the phone and see nothing has changed. It's as if no reset has been done and the crashing continues.
So I decide to go for Stock rom (Gingerbread). After following the official installation steps the phone says the installation is successfull and restarts automatically. When the phone boots up all I see is old Aurora Rom and the same old crash of apps(all apps crashes a_z).
This is so weird. I have never seen this before and have been googling since 2 days without any solution.
I request xda devs to help me on this.
Regards

When you're flashing back to stock have you tried to wipe every partition including your internal SD?
Also how soon does the crashing begin after you flash your ROM?, because if the crashing begins as soon you boot up, you may have a hardware issue and of course the only way to solve that would be to send your phone into warrenty if you can.
Hi tidaboy9
I can't actually flash any roms. If I do, it says the flash is successful, but after the restart nothing will change. Whatever I do in the phone, it will restore everything after reboot, apps, history , etc .
By wiping partition, do u mean flashing stock partition. That I did.
All I want to do is do a hard reset, wipe everything and start new, but I am unable to due to above mentioned reasons. And yes, the crash begins soon after the reboot.
Please tell me this not hardware related as it is not under warranty.
Thanks
Hi!
I got some major problems with my G3. I was on stock Android 6 (rooted). Worked fine for some months. Then I decided to encrypt the phone and activated this option in the normal android settings. After some time the phone restarted and I got the "Encryption unsucccessful" page and cannot do anything anymore.
After reading through the help forums I tried the following steps to solve it:
- factory reset
- wipe eveything in twrp and flashed system, boot, modem manually to Android 6 again
- repaired all filesystem partitions in twrp
- many many more factory resets
All didn't help. The only thing that changed is that when coming to the "Encryption unsucccessful" page now the phone hangs up after the next option I choose (shut down or restart or factory reset) so I have to take out the battery to restart or shut down.
Any suggestions how to solve it and maybe also any suggestions what might have gone wrong? Don't want to kill the next phone the same way by just enabling encryption!?
I have a Sony Z3 dual sim (D6633) running stock KitKat, rooted. I am posting here, and not in Sony's forum, as I understand this is a generic issue which can happen to any phone, and is not Z3-specific.
I cannot download anything from the play store; the screen is always stuck at 'download pending'. I had this this morning, and deleted all data (settings -> app for google play services, google play, download manager, and download media). It worked this morning, but now I have the same problem and redoing those steps doesn't help. I do have internet access and have tried connected to 4G and to two separate wifi networks.
I did a factory reset of the phone just yesterday because of this issue + because some process was stuck in a loop and overheated my phone. I wouldn't want to reset the phone every day!
Any suggestions? What causes this and why?
Thanks!
PS Incidentally, this proves we don't need a new smartphone every 6 months - we just need smartphones which work and are stable. But this is not what the industry wants, of course.
Solution kinda....
The issue came across me as well i just installed a custom ROM and the restoring backup was taking place. Google play is reinstalling the apps when suddenly all apps stops at download pending. Well the only solution i found was to factory reset my phone (by facotry reseting i mean wiping all data cache ... EXCEPT for system) then reflashing gapps which worked fine for me. Hope this helps
Hi All.
I have an old Lenovo IdeaTab S6000. Since 2 weeks i've run into a problem with gapps. I continuously receive message that gapps has stopped working, gmail stopper working, calendar, youtube etc... Clicking hundreds times on the OK button and the situation persists. Between clicking OK I've managed to clear gapps cache and data, that didn't help neither. I've tried to boot into bootloader and do the factory reset. And the most surprising is that everything went as expected, I've click on the factory reset, saw the "formatting /Data" message and after reboot... nothig changed. All my setup, apps and problems persist like nothing happent. Could someone help me get controll over my tablet back?
PS. I have Avast installed, tried to remove it but i cannot do this. After "uninstall" tablet restarted and again - no changes.
Thank You for any help
Smok.
