I got a long scratch on the screen
Minor one but it's annoying me
Anyone got any idea on how to fix it
DIY or a commercial product
I also have a long scratch on the bottom of the display. I think the Mix 3 has the worst display coating on all Mi and Mix devices.
I never had a scratch on any of my Mi and Mix devices!

the scratch will remain and you will not polish it...
stick tempered glass, it should mask the scratches
put a tempered class protector over it. little scratches schould disapear

Got a oneplus 2... I was disappointed first to see my op2 dull...
Got to know that it comes with screen guard out of the box. Just now noticed it.
Is it a good move from op. How would a customer can check if the display is good or not, if you hinder with a scratch guard.... Don't wanna tear it in my new mobile

I think it's a good move of OP to have some kind of protection for the screen from start, however they could have included a small note on the box so the user knows why the screen is so smudge magnetic. I've replaced it by a $2 hardened glas screen protection from AliExpress so now it's silky smooth and smudge free ?
The screen protector that comes with it is awful and makes the screen have a blurry yellow tinge. Switch it for a tempered glass o e and its a million times clearer with no yellow
For me its okey, i have it for 2 months and no noticeable scratches on the protector and the screen looks awesome. It's a really nice gesture from them.

I am tired of replacing the glass backplate, it keeps breaking..
My way to use the phone seems to be to much for the phone.
I tried original backplates, cheap ones, expensive ones, doesn't matter, after a week or two its broke.
I wonder, if there are plastic ones available, which most likely are not that brittle.

Maybe, or put a tempered glass protector on the back. I have both front and back and am very ruff with my phone. I'm always dropping it and sitting on it and it's still good. I do have a metal bumper which helps. Plus you can just peel off the protector and put a new one on. Easier than replacing the whole back. Plastic will also look very crappy after a short time because it scratches easily.

your phone is badly twisted/warped, that's why you keep breaking those back panels
I guess it will be even great to find a metal one, but either it's rare, or not existing...
Badly twisted, yeah, thats right..
Took a closer look.. Around the power button the metal is cracked, so the phone easily bends a little, thats the reason..

I had the exact same problem! I looked for plastic back plates and did find some pretty cheap ones on Amazon. But I opted for something else entirely.
I took the necessary measurements and made an aluminium plate from a workshop and drilled the camera and flash holes into it. Then I spray-painted it black to match my phone.
And while I was at it, I also made a wooden plate with a slight curve (holding the phone is a delight after that!) and got it polished. (Just for the sake of it )
You could try the same.
Hope this helped.
P.S. I don't know about the twisting and turning part, but I am a heavy user and my phone heats up a lot (as do most Xperia Phones) and I blame the cracking on the heat.
I bought a skin for the backplate

fits well and looks awsome! (i am using the green carbon fiber, it has some kind of 3d touch feeling)
Hi there,
i found conflicting statements about the existing of screen protection. Some say it has Gorilla Glas same say it has not.
So whats the deal ? How sensitive is the screen of the Le Max 2 ? Any tempered glass screen protector necessary ?
Real world experience would be nice.
I will not give you advice since I always use tempered glass and even none of the cheapest

i never used tempered glass on my phones with Gorilla Glas protection.... was absolutely not necessary.
Thats the reason i asked
There is no official info on that... I couldn't take a risk so i put a tempered glass on.

the price of this phone is really attractive but there are some points that disturb me ... missing gorilla glas is one of them.
Lack of custom roms is also one point ....
I was about 10 days without screen protection. No scratches or so, but i couldn't take a risk.
You have EUI based roms, i really don't like them and you have CM based roms... I use Mokee official and i am super satisfied.

I think it's gorilla glass or dragontrail. I don't use a screen protector and it hasn't scratched at all. And it has that slightly plastic feel of gorilla glass rather than the cold hardness of pure unprotected glass.

Think I've had this phone about two months now. I used a tempered glass for a week or so, but it cracked on the corner so I took it off.
Thanks for letting me know about this, I do hate using screen protectors on my cellphone, I rather like using my le max 2 without anything on the screen, it feels better.
I will tell you how it is going after a week or two.

Please report this to GSMArena. So people don't get confused anymore.
The screen of my leeco le max 2 is just amazing, I dropped it from 2 mts (by mistake of course) and the screen directly crashed the floor with the screen, and result without any scratch and the screen wasn't even cracked, I have had it since 15 days ago without any kind of protection (case nor screen protector) and it's like new, whether the screen is gorila glass or not it is actually really resistant
I have used my phone for 2 weeks, and I don't know how or why, it has a line on the screen, I mean not in the software screen, in the hardware itself like if it was damaged with something... Can this happen with Gorilla Glass?
Hi Guys,

I got this one, just a cheapy from China but does the job. It covers the full screen side to side, top to bottom. The only couple of things are when you tilt it in certain light you can see a dot matrix pattern and also a slight oily effect like in the second link below.
It's not really bad but could bug you if things like that annoy you. It was only a very cheap one so pricier ones may be better but I can live with it, as it's better than the ones that don't fit properly and have air pockets at the sides where it isn't sticking to the screen properly. And also better than the plastic film ones, which I had on previously as most of the glass ones didn't fit the full screen properly.

Hey guys,
I just recieved my Sirocco and was looking for a screen protector.
Does anyone already have a screen protector applied and is able to share some experience or products?
Thanks in advance!
im using clear coat film based protector Full coverage but does feel thick
I ordered a tempered glass screen protector from AliExpress. I'll let you guys know how it is when I get it
Are there other good options available?
I have a self repairing 6D Hydrogel Flexible Screen Protector film (not tempered glass) It fits upto 1mm from the edge all the way around. Curved glass screen protectors aren't great yet
I ordered Onico 3D screen protector (not glass, its self repairing foil)
ONICO Displayschutzfolie Für Nokia 8 Sirocco Folie Schutzfolie (Nicht Panzerglas),3D Selbstheilung Kompatibel mit Hülle Vollständige Abdeckung Komplette Display (Vorne HD & Hinten) https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07BR5JW5Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Vj7aCbCB55PWZ
It fits good, as user above: it goes 1mm to edges
Easy installation, theres a foilholder for usb-c port u plug in for easy positioning
Ordered with back foil. Fits also good.

Thanks, did you have bubbles when installing ? I always had bubbles issues when installing dry protector screens. Also how's touch sensitivity?
Thanks
another option I found is this wet application film, have you heard of it?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07B7J9G9X
No bubbles but you have to work exactly
Against bubbles: go into bathroom, turn on hot water for some minutes, then you have a clean and dust free air
Touch is great. Feeling is "soft"
About your link i think its ethanol or so... But you can also become bubbles! And the gabs by the earspeakers ... Dont like it
Does anybody else have feedback on this? I'm considering the new 8.1 when it launches, but the specs look better on the Sirocco and it's actually cheaper. The only real downside I can see is the super-beveled edges. I always use glass screen protectors now, but it's definitely not an option with a display like this. If the "shaped" film protector works, I'd try it, but I'm pretty skeptical that it a) won't get a bunch of dust under it and b) won't get scratched in day to day use. By contrast, the glass protector on my Moto Z looks absolutely flawless and it's been on there for well over a year.
