Hi,
I had the same problem but after doing a downgrade to Oreo
I managed to correct the problem by doing (wipe data/factory reset) but you will loose all the data
I think it would be wiser to try the option (wipe cache partition) before doing like me

Hi I have attempted to install experience rom on my xperia U. Firstly i successfully unlocked the boot loader. I then rooted it and installed CWM recovery all still good. I the transferred the ROM image to the phone went into recovery did a wipe data factory reset and wipe cash partition. Also wipe dalvick cache. Selected the ROM and install started, it hung, only way out was battery pull, I went back into recovery same thing happened, finally tried once more and it hung at about 75%. Now phone goes in a loop sony logo to black screen and I cant get into recovery mode. I have searched to see if I can find a way out but not found a way around it yet. I would be very grateful for any help with this.

flash stock ICS Rom ftf with flashtool
Thanks for help
Thanks I managed to flash stock Gingerbread in the end.
In case anyone else has a similar problem here is a handy guide I found. (youtube.com/watch?v=hPPWRXcsz7g)
Where it says connect phone I found you need to connect it in fast boot (hold volume up button as you connect it) when the software is ready to flash un-plug phone then connect in flash mode (hold volume down button as you connect).

Flash stock firmware.
Install fastboot drivers.
Flash SlidingXU in cmd
Try out Zperience or TheBrainsRom following factory data reset, wiping cache and dalvik cache.
Hi,
well yesterday i took my elephone and updated the phone , see : https://forum.xda-developers.com/el...m-11-08-lineageos-14-1-android-7-1-2-t3654592
the update went thru wihtout any issues. but:
- sim card did not get recognized
- some media app issues
so i thought , ok i'll do a factory reset, let's see if this solve the sim card issue.
well, the drama come's in here after the factory reset from the phone i'am in the boot TWRP loop and don't have a chance to flash something to the phone.
i guess that the factroy reset writes a file on the phone that causes the phone allways to boot into recovery, so is there a chance to delete this "file" ?
or does someone know this "file" ?
TWRP 3.02.8 and also tried to flash the beta 3.1
some hint's how i can solve this issue would be awesome.
cheers from germany
i had the same issue
the steps are
-first flash android 6 to the phone
-boot the phone with android 6 and you will see the SIMM is working
-flash the TWRP-3.0.2-8-P9000.img
-flash the lineage_p9000-ota-ec5aeedfbd.zip
-install gapps on it
this must work !!!
in my case it did
Michael

yes i do that wipe and i try with a full wipe too. Same problem
As a last resort you could try formating your phone from twrp. Once you format, reboot to recovery, connect your phone to the laptop and try copying the build and flash again. Mind you, this will remove all data, so use this method only if needed.

What do you mean with format? format from Wipe option in TRWP or from File manager? I try with Wipe option Formar Data, factory reset, ,cache, system, storage. etc.
BTW : Curiously when i flash with TRWP i can see the process and it says "Target: mido/mido_images_V8.4" whatever rom i try to flash

Once you go to the wipe option on twrp, don't go to advanced wip, go to format data. There it will ask you to enter yes. Do that.
Please note, doing this will wipe everything on your phone, but altleast for me, it fixed a similar issue.
I have many bad experiences flashing miui with custom recovery, it will often lead to errors. Best way to flash miui is using fastboot method
Download attachments -> flash it
http://en.miui.com/thread-310923-1-1.html
Try Red Wolf Custom Recovery.. I don't need Lazy Flasher zip..
I hope fix ur problem
Sorry for my bad english
Hey
I bought a new phone so I was planning to perform a clean flash on my old ZU.
So in TWRP, I wiped cache + dalvik + data + internal storage, and then I flashed a pre-rooted rom (zip that includes XZDualRecovery and SuperSU ).
From there, I'me not able to boot anymore, either in system or in recovery. It gets stuck on SONY logo, I can only go to flashmode and fastboot mode.
I tried to flash trought flashtool, but it failed
Is there anything else I can do ?

Yes I did, but I don't remember how.
Maybe try to flash a stock ROM, without root or anything

i have the same issue, tried different recovery projects, OFRP and TWRP. both seem to have the same issue, with the message "encryption unsuccessful" and if i tried to press the "RESET DEVICE" button i get stuck in a boot loop.
i also factory reset my device, formatted everything via the recovery project menu then booted into recovery and installed the CUSTOM ROMS.
tried also to DFE but nothing seem to change even with encryption disabled.
but i scarcely manged to bypass this issue by; after wiping everything boot into recovery and install whatever rom you want and install gapps after it, better still install firmware vendor if the rom of your choice doesnt include them.
never mind, i fixed it.
in my case i was trying to flash LineageMicroG 16 on my Device and i kept getting that error and i did the following to fix it;
wiped everything and wrote "yes" to format the date and swiped for a factory reset through recovery wipe option then i booted into recovery and flashed LineagemicroG 16 after that i flashed optimus drunk kernel and booted into system and everything seemed to work fine, the kernel is what fixed the problem.
