Anyway to load TWRP from within the ROM? - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hola
Anyway to load TWRP from within the ROM? Because of the inability to hold both TWRP and Magisk, in the recovery RAM disk partition, at the same time, I am asking if there is a way to get TWRP loaded easily when you are in the ROM. Obviously it would mean that you have a working root experience in order for this to work. Then when we are finished in TWRP we can then simply flash the Patched boot (Magisk) img and reboot back into the ROM with root. Currently ROMAur has this functionality built in but it would be awesome to have this feature when using stock firmware.

Root works Ok.
I would like to flash this latest image on my rooted stock 4.3, with the latest twrp 2.8.7 installed. It's a long time since I flashed an image so I'd like to double check:
From twrp, do I first wipe everything and then flash
image-mantaray-lmy48i.zip
followed by UPDATE-SuperSU? In particular, do I need to flash the bootloader.imag that comes with the new image?
THANKS!

Don't unpack the zip. Just point twrp at the zip file and ask to install. And you don't need to wipe, because the installation wipes everything anyway.
Lollipop takes a long time booting the first time, so be patient and give it 30 minutes at least.
Cheers!

I used the factory image yesterday to update but installed it using the Flashfire app instead of TWRP. I only flashed boot (not bootloader) and system images then cleared Dalvik (all in one sequence). Flashfire automatically reinstalls SuperSU. I did was on both a Nexus 5 and 10.
I did not flash recovery as the TWRP I had installed was already the latest version. Using this method I preserved my user data and all my settings. All I needed to do was reapply anything I'd previously modified in the /system partition (remove/freeze bloat ware, install busybox, V4A, SuperSU policies ... Etc). I was up and running in no time. Hardly a blip in my day.
I still used TWRP when I really mess up (device soft bricked) but Flashfire has become my goto system update tool on all my Android devices including my Samsung one which has a locked boot loader. It is developed by Chainfire the creator of SuperSU.

If I'm already on stock 5.1.1 (rooted etc), can I just extract libstagefight.so from this image and manually replace that?
Seems much easier...

Flash Recovery From Device?

I have the stock ROM MM, rooted, with TWRP recovery.
Is there an app that can flash the stock recovery and then flash back TWRP recovery? I'd like to be able to install OTA updates without a PC.

The problem would be after the OTA is installed you will not have root and all the apps that can flash recovery require root
at some point you need fastboot
You can keep the TWRP in eRecovery and Stock Recovery in main recovery partition, so you'll have dual recoveries.

Can i flash stock rom using twrp ?

I am on Global stable miui 8.2.4 but for some reasons i don't like it and i wanna downgrade to 8.1.15 . I have Twrp installed and rooted . Can i flash recovery 8.1.15 rom using twrp ?
Or i need to flash a fastboot rom using twrp ?
somebody?
I have flashed stock 8.2.4.0 from 8.2.2.0 with flashfire, although I have twrp too. No problems just put the zip in right folder.
Yes you can. I have flashed both dev and stable. @jazzh mentions something about folders. TWRP doesn't really care about that.
Be warned though that flashing the official zip also replaces the recovery and there is a bug with 8.1.15 where you cannot flash TWRP back afterwards.
If you go back to 8.1.15 and want to use TWRP for flashing a custom rom simply use
fastboot boot [recovery name].img
to soft load TWRP and do all your work from there up.
Yes, that's a good advice.
I soft boot twrp whenever performing backup or updating magisk.
I just mentioned folders because flashfire is started from os and it will look into the ota folder and if it finds the zip it will offer rebooting to perform the update.

Unistall TWRP and make ONE Plus 6t like factory-made to claim warranty.

So i was trying to root my Oneplus 6t that was running OXynogen 10.3.4 Android 10 using TWRP & MagicSk.I read a tutorial somewhere explaining how to install TWRP recovery & then flash Magicsk.I successfully installed TWRP recovery on my phone using cmd with the help of fastboot. However, when i tried flashing Magicsk using TWRP,i got an error "KEY VERIFICATION FAILED".Now, i don't plant to proceed with rooting my phone any further. Can someone please tell me how can i undo all of my actions and get my phone back in original condition as it was when i purvhased.Like pure stock android with no TWRP,No unlocked bootloader...Just like a phone's software looks when purchased new.
TWRP can't get uninstalled. You've to flash Stock ROM to get rid off of it.

How do u suggest i flash the custom ROM? Will i have to do it using TWRP? Oneplus gives a .zip file of stock ROM on its website. Also will doing this lock my bootloader again?
@Illicit_Lokesh
I thought I made it clear.
FYI: Recovery and ROM are two completely independent different things.
No one needs a custom recovery as TWRP to flash Stock ROM: This can be done with Android SDK tools like ADB and Fastboot.

TWRP on Mi Pad 4

Hello,
I am a newbie into this.
I want to root the Pad to run some apps that require root access. The bootloader is already unlocked via the miflash unlock tool.
Next I tried to install TWRP 3.4.0.0 via using the guide from twrp.me
https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimipad4.html
I am able to load the image into recovery section and I am also able to boot into recovery straight after that in order to enter TWRP (using Vol up plus power button as the guide mentioned). But once the Android system is booted up the TWRP bootloader in the recovery section is gone/wiped whatever because the Mi boot menu appears again.
What do I miss out?
It is also recommend to perform a backup in TWRP before rooting (magisk) or flashing a custom rom. The backup fails with a couple of red line "unable to mount...".
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
You are using the stock MIUI right? MIUI will automatically revert recovery back to the stock one. You have to install a custom rom to retain TWRP.

Correct still using stock MIUI. Sadly, that means root and stock MIUI won't work at the same time.

Although I never use stock MIUI, I think you can root normally. You don't need TWRP to maintain root.
