Is dere any separate forum for galaxy j5 or not... If yes then provide me the link. If no den please make a forum.
I would also be interested in seeing a Galaxy J5 thread. Being stuck with a stock 5.1.1 is very boring, miss my S4 there were so many ROM's for that.
I'd like to see Cyanogen on this phone. Any devs willing to dedicate the time? I will help if you need any of the system files from the device. As far as I'm aware there is no CWMR for this device but there is a TWRP Recovery build that CTx created. (Many thanks to him)
@kyle_morgan
Got any rom?
With the somewhat recent release of the dirtysanta for the H918 phones, i made a simple root checker.
if youd like the check it out, please do so here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.loganbassett.rootchecker
report any bugs in this thread too, please ?

Hello,
Is it me that I can't find a thread for this phone or is that nonexistent?

Late reply, but yea, there's a A4, an A40 and an A42 forum. Not sure why there's no A41 forum.
and is there any Custom ROM for this model or is it better to forget it?
I was using different search engines and tried to look on 4pda russian site and some german site with no luck
i also have this model and want to root it. i've found a few sites that have a how-to but i do not trust them.
Seems like A41 and A51 are taking off here, I know at least 5 people with them, they got them last year, but yeah, not much on the techy web about it.

Are you rooted now?
It is pretty easy with Magisk.
Base thing is to have original software, that you can download from https://www.sammobile.com.
BTW:
Some folk, me included, requested to add this device to inventory but so far not much success.

I'm not rooted, I've not found a reliable guide on how to perform this. Can you please link me to one, if you have it?
Installation
The Magic Mask for Android

It's John's stuff and he maintained it pretty smooth.

I drive my rooted A41 since months.
If something is not broken - don't repair it - this is my rule and I don't have time to follow all new trends.
Besides - I have other, backup Galaxy, M12, which was rooted with help of this forum, too.
How to root A41?
Reading this forum to learn.
Everything I did was taken from here and while I don't have it till hands as rooting happened months ago surely all this is here, newer software & ROM hints including.
I have built a kernel if anyone wants it @F308
Also TWRP has been developed on Telegram and waiting for testing

Thanks, if you made the mistake of flashing the OP file on BVGB, your device won't boot, but you should be able to extract the up_param.bin from the original BL file, wrap it in a .tar file and flash it with odin without losing any data.
only remove yellow/red warring text but not 5 minutes delay, How to remove delay time to boot?
Is there a way to mount the system partition
