TEsted and no workie.
Have you visited this thread

All rooting info will be kept in there until a root method is discovered and then a new thread could possibly be created.
Don't post questions in development.
Im new to rooting this way with the .bat files and wanted to know if anyone could give me a guide or tell me how to root this way thanks!!
Sent from my Dual Core HTC 3vo 3d
It's not full root... Its temporary root. All the instructions are inside the threads in the development section really... There's not a lot to tell you.
However... there is A LOT of useful information within those threads that you should read up on.
The latest versions of root are SUPER easy. Follow my link for a root that also lets you surf Hulu on the Dolphin Browser app. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169495
Note that instructions for the basic root are in the first link of the thread I created. But the basic instructions I provide in my post should do it. It's VERY easy nowadays! Do yourself a favor and install a root checker to quickly verify that it worked
This method works great for me and couldn't be easier.

Hi, I followed the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185 to root my galaxy tab 10.1 and it appeared to go well - got all the confirmation screens etc. (I can't post there yet as I'm a newbie)
However, Root Checker says I'm not rooted. I've installed Superuser but when I try to update SU Binary (I've no idea what this is) as recommended in the other thread, I get "Gaining Root Access: fail!". I followed the guide again but have the same result.
Would much appreciate any advice on what to try next, please explain in simple terms or I may cry. thanks

There is an FAQ/Q&A thread here:
