If you are on offical oreo you should received the OTA already, if you are on beta the OTA update is different. Anyway is better to do a factory reset after the update, I did it. So if you are on beta your best call is to flash the entire ROM it's on the OP

I was on Oreo official, no BETA, and with the OTA the update installed as a regular monthly update. But if you are on BETA you have to wait till the update for it .You can do a dirty flash but is not recommended.
In my case after the update I did a factory reset because a lot of apps was doing funny things.
Finally recieved my ota update! While being on beta.

so we just flash this and it will not affect anything on my phone? im rooted stock rom and franco kernel
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it replaces the recovery which you can just put back. You'll also lose root I think which again you could just flash. At least that's how it was for the stock roms I've dealt with on other phones.

That one doesn't mention the radio. I prefer to use Heisenberg's guide. Usually #14 for when I'm flashing updates but there's a lot of other useful tips as well.

Hi there! Does this have any fixes or is it just security stuff? I'd like to know if the echo during a hangouts/Skype/Duo call gets any better. Thanks!

Last month people speculated that N4F26I with radio 3.78 was for non-Verizon and N4F26J with radio 3.79 was for Verizon because it fixed VOLTE and Voicemail for Verizon customers. Perhaps they just neglected to label last month? I note the new Verizon-only NUF26K keeps the 3.79 radio.
I'm on T-Mobile and last month was running 26J with 3.79 radio and had no problems. Now on 26O with 3.78 and having no problems.
My 6P got the I version last month. I suppose the J was only for the US provider Verizon because I didn't see anyone I know with a 6P to receive the J version.

I applied an older version, it seems to be working but I am getting a weird message on boot "Internal error in your device" or something similar to that.. weird.
I mean it's all working alright , just this message on boot.
EDIT:
OK the exact error was "There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacturer for details"
It was an error in the prop.build file. Mismatch with the vendor prop.build file.
Copied the value :ro.build.fingerprint from the vendor file to the prop.build under system and it disappeared.

Hey buds !
Here I'm stuck at October security patch.
I bought my S9 with july security patch then I manually checked for update , And I actually had a pop-up with october security patch which I'm running now and which also was the last one I recieved.
I tried with Smart switch but there is no option to update software.
Can I just download pie firmware then jump stright to it ? I mean when I find the official Firmware.
thank you
P.s I have A S9 Duos.
Hi everybody,
I just bought a refurbished P20 Lite (from official store). It was a great deal but now I'm kind of disappointed.
The phone came with Android 8 and March 2018 security patch. I was expecting to get at least Android 9 and January 2020 security patch but it seems i'm stuck with version 8.0.0.146 , Android 8 and the same March 2018 security patch.
Am I doing something wrong ?
Model: ANE-LX1 , Dual-SIM
Region: Europe
Any advise (other than returning the device ) ?

I managed to get 9.1.0.132 + Google Security Patch from 05 May 2019
Is this the latest update ? Are they no longer releasing security updates from Google ?
This is kind of disappointing. I thought Huawei is good at updates.
This phone was released in Q2 2018 and got a single Android update, from 8 to 9.1.
I used Lenovo rescue to update my G Power to the QPMS30.80-109-2 version (from QPMS30.80-51-5) and I was wondering what is different. I think it is strange that this update was not OTA. It is also still on the July security patch.
The update was released on August 31st 2020 according to a mirror

I never got the Ota update.
Retus G Power here. The OTA update is QPMS30.80-51-8 with the September 1, 2020 security patch. The LMSA downloads the QPMS30.80-109-2 version for some reason.
