Did you have that band before flashing to H930?
I know the Korean carrier variants have to flash H930 to get fastboot flash commands for bootloader unlock and root. Then they have to flash a special US998 TWRP flashable zip to get bands back they need.

Hey,
can i change or delete a Branding-Logo, which you can see after the LG Bootlogo an after you click shutdown? Without root i can't change it, right? I bought the LG V30 H930 from italia and read over, that it has a TIM Branding. With a tutorial i disabled the TIM-Apps, but the Boot- and Shutdownlogos are still there. I read that you can change the boot.img or something like that. I have a Linux OS, so i can try it. The Branding Logos will be gone, if i flash the stock rom, right? If so, which Stock Rom do i have to use? I have the european H930 V10c-222-01 right now and downloaded H93010f_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0925 and H93010v_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1120 so far. It would be nice, if someone can help me
two ways:
With root and TWRP flashable logos.
Harder: With the LG G5 and LG V20 you could flash other variant firmware with a custom LGUP file, and probably can with LG V30/V30+. But you need one specifically made for the LG V30. Otherwise you will mess up your phone.
Thanks for your fast answer. With TWRP i can change the branding Logo without changing the LG Logo? And if i flash my V30 with a stock firmware, the branding Logo still would be there? What exactly is LGUP? If you don't mind, it would ne nice, if you can explain it short
And do somebody know what is the different between firmware H93010f_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0925 and H93010v_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1120? I had V10c-222-01, but yesterday i updated my V30 via LG Bridge to V10f-222-01.

On my carrier unlocked phone I don't see any carrier logo, of course. But in my past experience with phones (LG, Motorola, and various Nexus), there's usually a boot logo (a graphic) and a boot animation. LG also has shut down animations, with their LG logo. With TWRP you would flash a zipped file a dev would make, to replace which of those elements you would want. For instance, on LG G2 and LG G3 I would replace LG animation with other animations, like Nexus phone animations. On Motorola phones I would replace the boot logo with something cooler, as well as the boot animation.
I really wouldn't try this on your phone until there's a little more dev work. Right now we have the first custom ROM up, down in the development section. Other devs will post TWRP flashable zips to do what you want to do.
I don't know if other carriers just replace the bootanimation.zip file under /system/media, but TIM actually modified a file from the Android source (at least that's the only place I've found a configurable directory for bootanimation.zip, not really sure tho) and they're using their own folder, that is /OP/TIM_IT/poweron and /OP/TIM_IT/poweroff, there are located the bootanimation.zips (there's one for the V30+ too).
So if you flash a boot animation file with TWRP it wouldn't work because it replaces a file that's not even read by the system ?*, that, of course, from my experience.
Thank you both for your answers. So that man if i flash a custom rom, i can chage the animation by delete the TIM-files? And it might happen that even if i try to change the boot animation via TWRP, the TIM-Animation still would be there?
I think that if you flash one of the official images (someone says UPPERCUT is working with the V30) you can flash a bootanimation.zip with TWRP, it should be in the default location so it should work. Seeing the bootanimation.zip file that LG's made, tho, you would lose the official logo at the beginning of the animation, if you want to keep that you may need to create an animation by yourself.

Ok, i understand, thank you. I think i will stay with the TIM-Animation then. Its not that annoying.

It's an Italian phone, right? TIM?
You're replacing with another -- but not branded -- European KDZ.

TIM is Italian. You said you have TIM.
IF you have non-branded "H930" (either actual or converted), you will either have these bands:
2G GSM: 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G (HSPA): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G LTE: 1/2/3/4/5/8/12/17/20/28/38
So, flash H930 KDZ over your Italian phone.

I posted the bands you will have on stock European KDZ. They should be the same as the same you already have. But compare what you have with European Italian TIM to stock unbranded European H930.

No.
Well, possibly. We found it you can flash one partition with KDZ on us998 with Vs996 to get rid of bootloader unlock warning. Could be the same to get rid of the TIM logo. It doesn't affect anything else, like data or apps.
I have a V30 + US but currently using rom Canada and display code is H933. So now if I want root and twrp, do I need to rerun the us998 rom? This is my first time using a LG phone. Hope you guidance. tks you

You will need to convert the firmware of your variant into a US998 before you can download any roms or root. Then you can root your phone. After you go through that process, you can finally download and install roms.

Yes, what @XCaliburX said. For the North American variants only the US998 firmware has the necessary fastboot flash commands for the Oreo bootloader unlock exploit. You have to convert to US998 (at least temporarily) to bootloader unlock and root.
This does not apply to the European, Middle East, Asian variants. See the links @XCaliburX's post.

I have an unlocked lg v35 isai with unlocked sim but I tried to flash it with H930 kdz to unlock bootloader everything is working except that no signal ....
I tried to flash us998 but no sucess keep restarting .
I need help anyone has lg v35 isai firmware or modem please share it
For anyone wondering YES he does have a V30+. Just for some reason in Japan, instead of US998, LS998, H930, whatever, they called theirs "LG V35". Which is totally confusing as a few months later LG released ANOTHER phone called LG V35.
Their version of the V20 was called "V34"
Their version of the V30 then is the V35.
See here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77581027&postcount=3
Also here:
https://www.lg.com/jp/mobile-phone/lg-LGV35
You can tell it's really V30+, because it says so and specs show Snapdragon 835.

I tried searching with Google for their firmware and couldn't find it posted anywhere. No, I didn't use that resource because I don't have their IMEI. But I wonder if ISAI is like AT&T and Sprint and don't publicly release KDZ?
But hopefully your suggestion will work for them!

You flashed T-mobile H932 firmware over your ISAI v30+? Yeah, you bricked it. Many warnings that T-mobile H932 has different RSA encryption from any other V30. You would need to contact some eBay guy that can fix that.

Gosh nooo H932 is the TMobile V30 and it's the only variant that will hardbrick with crossflashing. You can contact @motogvasyag since he knows how to fix this error using remote access to your PC and device. Talk to him and check if him supports your device.

If you look at the link it shows you downloaded various partitions like modems. You should be able to use Partition DL mode to install those partitions through LGUP?
partition dl cant flash separate image only kdz or tot message appear when try to flash modem in partition dl
I too made an LG UP dump of all partitions on my H932 long ago, but I don't think there is a way to flash those dump files back with LG UP. If there is, I'd love to know.
I believe they can be turned into TWRP flashable zip files, but that's another matter.

You can't flash EU H930 to US998.
Why are you trying to get US998 firmware on EU H930?
All the H930 variants (EU H930, H930G, H930D, HOL930DS) have their own firmware -- which are all compatible across those variants.
You shouldn't try to flash any H930 variant to any North American variant firmware...
Are you SURE you have H930 -- OR do you possibly have AT&T H931 or Canada H933?
If you indeed have EU H930, then go to the H930 PIE KDZ thread and flash latest H930 firmware to get your modem back. Use Dev Patched LGUP Partition DL mode or Refurbish mode.
