gaming performance - LG V30 Questions & Answers

hey
my phone was in sep security update 931 lg att the score was 164k in antutu game performance wasnt ok kind of laggy {pubg}
now after making the last update after switching to us99820h. march security score jumped to 181k and pubg performance improved .
so please someone can explain why 835 cpu is being hold back to its best { around 205k antutu } .
dont tell me duduhduhduh antutu fake blah blah the performance was noticed in game and pubg was kind of smooth compared to 164k old score .
LG wake up i hope they improve it to its max potential with pie , anybody knows how to contact them ?
i saw a guy getting 197k liquid mix rom so whats going on with lg rom .

Well, looks like from September 2018 to March 2019, LG has improved performance... Give them a few more months and they'll get up to 200k.
Also, US998 doesn't have any carrier bloatware.

Lg implementation is bad for example the us998 oreo with july sec patch have only gpu driver v251 while samsung 835 devices is updated to 313 , that was a huge jump!. Also lg stock kernel like to throttle performance so much . read techspot review for lg v30. The only way is updating gpu driver and play with the kernel gorvenor. This mean we need to unlock bootloader and root.Wish we have a custom from mod stock kernel that bring optimized gorvenor like pixel 2 and one plus 5

Why are you on July 2018 security patch? You can be on March 2019 in five minutes... Tons of improvements in the past 8 months.
Has nothing to do with Bootloader Unlock or root. It's just updating your firmware. That's why we post them here in this forum.

Mine is 181k also on 20H.

How's this? Rooted US998 20H with Performance governor. 196K. However, using Performance governor you will really use battery faster. One of the nice attributes of the v30 is the exceptional battery life.
Kernel Aduitor app.
Probably other stuff I could do in that app to go higher, but not interested. Just showing it can be done.

used the nougat version of us998 exactly the last update of nougat and its the same as att its laggy . so the key was in last updates .
its kinda sad seing one plus 5 reach 215k and the battery is good at the same time while lg putting 835 and then throttling it to save battery , anyway atleast pubg is playable at extrem fps , i cant play games under 60 fps and that great screen lg got cant complain so much now .

You can download NFS-INJECTOR module...really works for me and its kinda based on making pubg work smoothly. Check out their xda thread or their telegram, they are very helpful folks.
