I have Redmi Note 4 which has 4 gb ram and 64gb internal storage. Pubg mobile requires only 2gb of ram still my mobile is unable to perform well as I have to suffer from lags regularly. When I bought this phone pubg use to run very smoothly but as the updates came one by one, it started to lag a frequently and it lags still to this day. If anyone has a solution for this please do let me know.

Hi all,
Is it me or what. My 7 inch mediapad always have only ard 400k of ram even after just boot up. I used task manager widget to kill as many programs as possible but later some programs will auto run and use up memory until 300k left. Then some programs like PvZ which takes quite a lot of ram may not even start when in low memory. I noticed it can start when there is nearly 500K of ram. But if lesser then will start and then hang or never even start.
My tablet is only loaded with a few programs like pulse PvZ, sgnews, allbackup from huawei and kuaishou.
I flashed with latest official 301u firmware and it is the same with H.WMOD firmware on B005
Thanks
Is this common of mediapad or Android? My ipad is fine with many programs opening and not even slow down noticeably.
Any tips?
Are you sure that you r talking 300kB? Cos I have about 300MB free atleast all the time.

Sorry. I meant 300 mb.
I haven't tried PvZ, but all the games that I have tried never ran into memory issue. As of now, my free memory is 350MB.
Some heavy games that I have tried are ShadowGun, Dead Trigger, Modern Combat 3, Asphalt 6, Dead Space. My guess is the problem lies in the app itself. I can't see the game (PvZ) from my pad, but I can see it from my phone, so maybe it just not compatible?
Hi,
I used to love my Kenzo 2 gb version, untill I found out that his 1,8 gb of ram are so so low. But, is that true?!
I mean 2 gb are the minimun requirement for MM or NG I think, but with miui, miui port, NG based rom (didn't try oreo, or lineage MM), custom kernel, anything the ram management is really really bad.
After only two days of usage, free ram became 200mb or even 100mb with no social media app (just telegram and instagram with no notification allowed) or anything. Doze, greenify, clear ram or not clear it, doesn't change the situation, used ram increase day by day untill the phone is laggy and unusable.
So you have to restart the phone at least every two day. It's crazy today.
On custom ng roms the situation is a bit better but on miui, damn, the ram is so full that sometimes I can't even open the keyboard or camera.
Every 2 gb phones has this issue? is an MM/NG problem? or is a kenzo problem? is there something I (or we) can do to menage ram more efficently (I don't want free ram, I want a ram used in the correct way).?
thank u
Very good question, i suggest you make manual tweaks to lmk (low memory killer), it has helped my rn3 2gb multitask better on oreo

I have too faced that problem. It's mainly due to ROMs. Some ROMs have lag no matter which kernel you use or how much tweak it. I have literally tried each and every custom rom which are updated and found only some ROMs which have less noticable lag. Default miui rom, aex, RR by movzx, nos some builds and Oreo, and slim rom. On other rom I tried different kernel and when tweaked it to max but still lagged as hell. Even opening dialer app sometimes froze the system leave aside heavy gaming. This is really serious issue on 2gb because of which we are restricted to certain ROMs.
I too have a 2GB kenzo, but never had such problems...currently using NOS Oreo and it is fluid & fast. Same on miui.
Right now system occupies around 700MB + around 400MB apps, rest is available. Never had RAM problems myself...luckily.
Buy MI device unlock bootloader next day > Flash custom ROMs > RIP ****UI
That is the main reason why I've changed my Kenzo 2gb. I wasn't able to use miui at all with this phone, app killing and lagging was a daily basis. So I used the most Ram friendly rom with this phone, but still keeping more than 3 apps in the memory was a problem.
Idk, but maybe it's because of the x64 architecture (similar to pc, this architecture uses more ram). I had many phones with 32gb and x32 architecture and ram was never an issue.
So trust me, I've tried everything to improve the ram efficiency, but not much has changed. The only solution for me to change the phone.

I don't know how to turn the lmk aggressive on radon I know that I have to edit the radon.sh script but I don't know what I have to write there.
Oreo I think is pretty unstable for me know better wait some months

I read that that app bricked some devices. Does it really help? It just create a swap partition I believe

Definitely not. 4GB would have been better, but 2GB should be enough for light ROMs and light use.
Please check what apps you are using.
Kick Facebook and other "always in background" apps from your device.
Use the original MIUI ROM or LineageOS.
Maybe try to avoid the Google Services.
Backup your favorit apps and don't install the Google Apps with the LineageOS ROM.

DotOS is best for 2gb variant.

But....
There is one issue, after 10 or 12 hours my phone can't open any apps or any operations except homescreen.
Restarting the phone will fix the problem temporarily for the next 10-12 hours

Are you guys facing issues with pubg mobile gameplay being choppy?
Snapdragon 835 should be capable enough to play the game without any lags. My internet and ping is absolutely fine so it has to be the phone.
One plus 5t works fine so the problem is with the LG rom or something?
Can someone please help what needs to be done to resolve this?

No one can honestly help you. However, are you running any mods?
I haven't tried that app on my device or PC, however according to the specs, it should run just fine.

Edit, downloading now. Also WTF! 1.75GB?
I would say grab a tab like the Samsung Galaxy tab S6. SD 855. 6gb of RAM. Get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and put it into Dex mode. It would be the equivalent of a PC experience.
Edit, I tired the game. Played 10 minutes since I had nothing else to do, game runs fine. No lag. Thank God it deleted faster then it installed LoL

It doesn't lag just like that. With lots of enemies and if you hotdrop, it strats lagging. I have installed a custom rom and kernel and it works fine now.
Stock somehow throttles CPU GPU performance and hence the lag was there. So now I get less battery back up during gaming but great performance which is how it should be.
Hello, which rom and custom kernel are you using, i also want to do that coz my pubg runs like dog**** on my v30
