Hi, i have a little problem with my phone, since 2 weeks i cant send or recive sms and i thought that was a problem of the vodafone, but when i insert the sim in another phone, i recive all messages. I decided to try some settings and i discovered that the phone cant hook up the 3G and 2G signal but only the 4G. I sent the phone in assistence, they did a restore of the firmware but the situation is the same. So, when i try to set the operator manually, i find Vodafone 2G, 3G and 4G, so i think the network card work properly, i think that is a problem of the firmware. I can do something without to lose the warranty?

pls help!
Have you turned MOBILE DATA off via the power on/off menu .
jje
ive checked that too.
Go to Settings- Wireless and Network- Mobile Networks- Access Point Names and see if the APN is ticked or not or the correct APN is ticked.
everything is back to normal again,it connected to the internet, by itself . must be a random bug in the os
problem solved. peace
I have experienced the same thing with my phone, except that it shows "activated". After a while it just started working again.
I've had the phone for a couple of months now and everything has worked fine till now, a little bugs here and there but no issues. A few weeks back (on android 2.3.3) I was unable to make or receive calls, but surprisingly was able to make text messages. I tried everything, turning flight mode on/off; the phone on/off; etc. I was on the verge of contacting Samsung but then suddenly the thing started working once I came back home from the office.
There has been no problems till then but today suddenly (now on android 2.3.6) the outgoing calls no longer work, same for outgoing text message; but I still get incoming calls and messages.
Just to be sure that this wasn't a SIM or service issue, I tried changing SIM's (different SIM did not work on the phone) and used my SIM on different phone (where it worked).
Also 3G doesn't work as well, but connection here is spotty so I wouldn't trust that. The only message I see different on the 'About Phone' tab is 'Mobile State-Disconnected'. I have full signal strength and all that.
My thoughts are that it was, or rather is a phone specific issue and would appreciate someone else's thoughts on the matter. As to my problem I assume it will sort itself out in a little while.
FYI: Samsung Galaxy S2; Android 2.3.6; NOT rooted; Indian version; On Airtel Mobile Network.
Mobile network state disconnected.
Hi guys, I have the same problem with my network connection also my 3g does not work anymore, I`m play with some secret codes like a ##72786# on my epic 4g touch sprint phone flashed to metro pcs and now I have no 3G service. Hi Guys,
My friend has asked me for some help with his x10i.
He's purchased it from a market, and it was locked to T-mobile.
Its since been network unlocked by a local store, in theory to allow use of any network sim card.
However when you boot the phone with a sim card in, it comes up on the notification bar
"Phone Not Allowed MM#6"
It will show the little signal bar full.
Checking phone status it shows
Service state - In service
Mobile Network State Disconnected.
It appears to register onto a network, be that orange o2 ect.
But we are unable to make outbound calls, receive calls.
Yet browsing via gprs is working.
I have checked the IMEI with the T mobile. They advised that the phone is clean and not barred.
I have Tried different Sim cards i know are working.
I have Flashed the Firmware back to Stock, Tried the Latest Firm and a few other different combinations.
I am now Stuck.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Hey guys
my SGS3 GTi9300 suddenly does not detect any mobile network. I cannot make or recieve any calls :crying::crying:
I have tried using a different sim card and same issue. No Service.
My sim card in a different phone works properly.
Manual searching of the network does not work.
reboot, airplane etc does not work.
My IMEI and everything is proper I havent made any changes in the phone. A very Spontaneous problem.
everything else works fine. wifi bluetooth etc.
I am from India on LiquidSmooth v3.2 rom. Android 4.4.4.
Network provider Reliance.
Please help
Try a different modem.
The one you WAS using will work but do you know what one it was or have a back up of it? I'm from the UK so I don't know what modem you would use. Also check apns as this happens with that to. All this fails go back to stock and test. If that is still a fail it time to check if imei is blocked by provider . I belive India networks now block imei that have been reported.
Solution
Surprisingly changing the network mode from 3g to 2g worked. Now I have network.
My service provider sent me the settings again maybe they got deleted or something.
Hi !
Recently I bought this LG but I have this problem:
I put my sim on it and can use LTE , download stuff , facebook, whatsapp and everything connected w / internet , but I can not make or receive phone calls or sms . When I dial a number that says " network number not avaible ."
I've tried with another simcard and moved to Cm11 and CM12 but without effect.
Can anyone help ? :crying:
Sorry for the bad english
You can't make or receive calls when only LTE is enabled. LTE frequency doesn't support calls. You should try dialing *#*#4636#*#* and then select the first one. Scroll down a bit and then select the network type: LTE/GSM/WCDMA. I have this selected and everytime someone calls, phone automatically switches from LTE to WCDMA/3G. After the call it turns automatically back to LTE.

Where did you get the SIM from?
Were you ever able to do calls with that SIM in any other phone?
Maybe it is a data only SIM, like sold for tablets or laptops.
I would try it with a different SIM card.

Nope, I never could text or make phone calls, and the problem isn't the SIM because right now it's in other phone and works fine.
Same problem with mine, 3G/2G data is working fine but the phone won't let me do a call ("no network" available). This happened on the kitkat rom, and since that I upgraded to the official Lollipop rom (through OTA) bu the problem remain the same...
The strange thing is that the phone just came from repair (the touch screen stopped to work without no reason... ), hoppefully it was under waranty... but now the waranty is over so I don't know what to do except maybe putting this phone on a trash, but it would be a such waste...
If anyone have an idea about the problem, it is hightly welcomed!
Alright, so here's the problem:
I've had my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for around 4months now, having no problems with it what-so-ever.
The other day (Tuesday) having waking up, my mobile wasn't able to send or receive phone calls or SMS messages, but it was still connected to my providers internet.
I can still browse the web using my provider, giffgaff, under 4G internet but when I try to send a text or phone anyone it says: "Not registered on Network".
I've contacted my network provider and they are adamant it's nothing to do with my network, also tried my sim in another phone and it works.
Now, I checked my IMEI and it was unblocked.
Tried rooting, factory resetting my phone and putting different roms on, nothing seems to be working. My internet still works on my phone, just my network is unable to connect.
When I manually search for network I find: Vodaphone, O2, EE, 3 Network. Having tried to load it up on O2 (Giffgaff uses O2 and my network provider asked me to do so) it says it's unable to connect.
I'm just wondering, is there anyway to resolve this?
Also, my signal bar is full, and the local reception for my Network is "excellent".
Hello, i've been having the same problem and couldn't resolve this with my network provider aswell i can get connected to the network but soon as it registers to 3g it kicks me of my network operator the only temp fix i could find was go to settings, mobile networks, network mode, gsm only, then register to network to receive and send calls and texts, i've tryed everything and it's the only thing i can suggest as a temp fix .:good:
