Spotify controls not working on lock screen - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

This is driving me absolutely crazy
I've done everything down to a factory reset and nothing works
I read online that clearing the cache fixes it... Nope
Making sure it's not being put to sleep is the other thing I read, still didn't work
Anyone have suggestions? This is about to drive me to sell my phone.

Clear Browser Data to fix internal memory problems?

I just called T-mobile in an attempt to have them replace my vibrant under the manufacturer's warranty. I believe the internal memory is damaged. My phone locks up once or twice a day and I have to pull the battery or do the vol-down-home-power button combination for ten seconds to reset the phone. This continues to be a problem after installing custom roms, going back to factory settings, lag fixes, etc.
T-Mobile just told me to try clearing out the stock browser's history, cache, cookies, saved passwords, basically everything, and that this is a "known issue" with Vibrants that happens if you don't clear the data every few days.
Has anyone else ever been told this by them before? Searching the forums hasn't given me much to support what they said, and I'm starting to feel like they're just stonewalling me.
Any advice/input/opinions are appreciated. Thanks!
Update: I cleared the browser data and then ran every single game on my vibrant, one after another (games were where I was seeing most of the lock ups).
This might sound crazy but so far it really does seem like it made a positive difference. Load times for some games are noticeably shorter.

Prime wont sleep...turns itself off...wipe/restore help

Geez like the browser issues arent enough, now.....
Every time my Prime goes to sleep, it actually seems to turn itself off. I have to hold the power button down for quite awhile now it seems to turn it back on.
It will finally restart, but my browser is cleared, and asks me to restore session.
Any ideas? Do I change something in settings???
Maybe try a reset wipe?? How do I properly do this? Paper clip, recovery, or just in the settings?
I have things checked off to back up all apps and settings to my google account but I havent physically done anything to backup all my apps and settings....
any help with a step by step backup, wipe, and restore would be great, if you guys think that would help....
thanks

Ok guys crisis averted....lol.
I must have checked the Battery Saving Mode / Disable wake.....in the Asus Customized settings. Unchecked and seems to be fine.
Proper steps for a backup/wipe/restore would be nice though...
thanks

Data "timeouts?" on all Roms/kernels tried.

Hey.
So I for the past month of so, my phone has been getting this weird issue where the network will suddenly cut and I'll be left with signal but no Data... It happens at very weird and pattern like intervals... What I mean is that it can happen when I'm using my phone. It can also happen on its own when my phone is in my pocket... Strange. If I manage to get home for example without it happening I can sometimes manage to turn on WiFi and the day afterwards when I leave Data still works. Now the only way I have found of fixing it is to Reboot my phone completely...
I have tried it on different Roms and even different Versions! So it seems to be a configuration problem? But I've wiped my phone between those Rom changes and I change quite often (Titanium, simply the best app on the entirr play store).
So it's very annoying and I can't figure out the pattern or what causes. I hope someone will be able to help.
Thanks!
+1 on that.
If anyone can elaborate, that would be very nice.

G5 sometimes 'skips' lock screen

I've noticed over the past 2 weeks or so that all of a sudden the phone sometimes doesn't bother with the lock screen. I'll double tap to wake and it'll go right to the home screen (or to whatever app I was in last). This happens with or without notifications. I thought it was something caused by Evolve because it seemed to stop once I cleared data/froze it with Titanium but it's started back up again.
Running Android M, rooted, with Xposed. However, I have not installed any new modules or done any system updates during this time. All of the phone settings look correct, and are unchanged, and there isn't a setting for 'skip the lockscreen like 30% of the time' anyway.
Anyone have any ideas? Could it be an app causing this? I believe those are the only things that have been updated.
Something like Greenify?
Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting would help. Thanks.
Still fighting with this. Anyone else? Removed everything I could find that wasn't being used. Wiped data for lockscreen settings. Wiped cache/dalvik. At a loss here. It's really annoying!
Only thing I can think of is that Power Key Instantly Locks is turned off.

it's on, and lock timer is set to immediately.
doesn't seem to have any relation to time. sometimes I'll pick the phone up after an hour and it'll go right in without the lock screen.

Sorry, I don't have any other ideas. Maybe someone else can be better help.
Still driving me nuts. I thought I had solved it by turning off 'battery optimizations' for anything always-on/lock screen related but that wasn't the answer. Reflashed the rom, still having the issue. Might need to reflash with a full wipe I guess.
I'd rather just move to Nougat but I can't get xposed to work properly. Life is hard haha.
in case anyone finds this thread when dealing with the same issue: Android Wear was the culprit. wakelock detector pointed me in that direction and once i uninstalled it, the problem stopped immediately and has not returned.

Always on Display broken, can't change clock face

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but looking for some help.
My always on display worked fine last week when I got the phone and set it up, but now when I try to change the clock face it hangs at a blank screen for a few seconds before crashing. I've tried rebooting, clearing data and cache, disabling and re-enabling the service, and redownloading it all together all to no avail. I'm trying to avoid having to factory reset if at all possible, but I'm not sure what else to try.
Also possibly unrelated, but my file linking app also doesn't work. It crashes when it starts to upload and never progresses past 0%. Less concerned about that one though.
