Hello,
I'm using Pixel 2 XL so newest android with it's gestures and new bar and I love it,
but what I'm still missing is swipe to go back in web browser.
Does anyone knows a browser with swipe to go back?
Perfect example how it should work is 9gag app.
I've tried some gesture apps that are global, but they work badly
with android intern gestures and overall very gimmicky.
Please no root solutions!

is there a list anywhere on what apps these features will work with? like for smart scroll it only seems to work in stock browser and not chrome...air view doesnt seem to work in gmail...
gesture scroll up and down scrolls webpages but i cant navigate back and forth...anyone know whats wrong?

From a review I saw on YouTube by Droid Life, those features only work with Samsung apps.
Yeah just the stock apps I am getting it to work on.
Iv'e used nova launcher for a while and I love it.
there is only one feature I feel missing, the google app in the left page (like in google now launcher).
I was able to have the same thing using the home button to open google now in gestures and inputs.
Is there any way to maybe change swipe right to google now like you can do with swipe up?

Hi It's officially a week that I've had my Oneplus 7T Pro. So far loving it, had some hiccups rooting and found out there's no working Twrp for us yet but was able to Root through Magisk.
Ok down to the matter does anybody no how to disable the wallpaper scrolling ? I really find it annoying and all my other phones in settings you're able to do it so far no luck with the OnePlus unless I'm blind. I've read that in order to do that you need to use another launcher like Nova.
I did, it worked but I liked to have that function on OnePlus Launcher cause to transition from app drawer to notification I can just swipe up and down, on Nova I have to from the very top for notification and for app drawer I have to swipe from the arrow. Anybody else experiencing this? Any help would be appreciated thanks. Never Settle Peace.

There's no option to disable wallpaper scrolling on stock launcher. But you can add gestures in Nova to support swipe down for notification panel and swipe up for app drawer

Hi, thanks I was able to figure it out I had to get Nova Launcher Prime to do it.

For the Wallpaper scrolling thing, if you select an image the correct dimensions for just one screen, I think it stays where it is. Only when you have wider images does it paginate I think.

Go to gallery, open the picture you want to set as a wallpaper,
1. If you want a non-scrolling one, click on 'set as' and then select open with Gallery
2. If you want a scrolling one, click on 'set as' and then select one plus launcherr

i have a little problem with the (quickstep integrated) oneplus launcher in a custom rom (aosip10):
when i swipe up anywhere in any app i go back back to launcher - of course standard. but when i short swipe up in launcher again it should me get to the first/primary page - which does not work, launcher page stays where it is. the same on with stock system launcher (Quickstep launcher).
now, i switch custom roms sometimes. there a custom roms, like revengeos, in which this works with oneplus launcher. on aosip atm not.
so i guess this is a system setting, not a launcher build in behavior.
does anybody knows, if this is just a setting anywhere in the internal settings-db's (global/system/secure) or something?

Hi there － I have recently purchased the MiPad5pro and have a few questions about the tablet and MiUi in general as this is my first Xiaomi device. I'm running the latest available version for MiUi for the pad5pro in China.
1. Has anyone been able to get Novalauncher to work? I get an error saying only those launchers verified by Xiaomi are allowed. Is that a miui issue or a miui for pad issue? Any other launchers recommended? I use Oneplus for my phone and have it set up with novalauncher that allows me to have the google shelf when swiping to the left from the home screen. I'd love to have that feature on my mipad.
2. is there a way to natively translate text on the screen? For eg: ColorOs has a built in screen translater that allows you to translate any part of the screen or the entire screen. Anything similar available for miui natively？or any apps that you'd recommend that aren't loaded with ads?
3. without root, is there a way to remove miAI and make Google assistant the default assistant app and get it to work in all the apps?for example, the miui clock app has a mic option for assistant but it triggers miai even though I have set Google assistant as my default ai app. Also, every time the tab is restarted, it defaults to miai as the default ai app instead of the previously set Google assistant.
Happy to answer any questions anyone might have if they are looking at buying this tablet.

1. You can choose Nova as your default launcher. But you have to do so from Nova, not MIUI settings.
2. Sorry I don't know... I gather you're talking about an app that reads a text off a picture? You tried the stock Gallary app (the purple one)? If you didn't find the function in the app, then maybe it's not possible without a 3rd party app?

Thanks. I don't hate the MiUi, it serves my purposes, just hoping to get a few of these issues fixed.
Was able to get Nova sorted like you mentioned, but Nova didn't work too well as it doesn't fully move to landscape mode.
#2 is the one I need most, so hopefully if someone else has an app they can recommend. It is not just about a picture, but about text in any app. Hoping for a 3rd party app that can be used that doesn't have a bunch of ads every time you use it.
I removed MiAi using this method along with some other Chinese language apps
It seems safe and you can re install or re enable the apps of you have any problems.

I have the solution to 3.
Without root, it's just a matter of getting the permissions correct.
Xiaomi has a privacy setting in the Google permissions that grants the permissions without confirming with google. That's why you can't get the default assistant to stick.
This will fix it. Give google always allow on device info inside the Google app, not assistant app.
