Like the title says, hows ElementalX treating your AT&T M8? I am considering installing for the undervolting option, but I'd like to hear from people already using it. Do you notice any differences? If so what are they?

I installed the kernel with stock options, no undervolting, just sweep-to-sleep. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life but I have about 1.5 hours of screen time right now and I am at 60%, also have been unplugged for 9 hours...so quite a while on standby as well. I'm thinking the battery life will be close to on-par with stock kernel at this rate.
I really like the sweep feature, and also GFX on games are more smooth for sure. Not that they weren't already but I notice a small difference. Thought about undervolting in the future, but as the maker of the kernel states, you don't really need to overclock this device, its already super snappy

Under-clocked and under-volted with Ele-X here. Runs cooler than stock, and little better battery life. Very pleased so far.

How is this possible lol? I would love to know how you're getting 2.5 Hours screen on time and 18 hours off charger. Do you mean 2.5 hours awake? or Screen on?
By the time I reached 3 hours screen time, even with the stock kernel, I was getting down to the end of my battery

Yes definitely - I guess I should ask if you're doing anything special? What ROM you're running etc. I got 3 hrs 15 minutes of screen time and 18 hours off charger last night and I was sitting at 8%. Granted I play games throughout the day so without that I would probably be getting somewhere closer to 4 hours screen time, but still that doesn't even touch the rate you're going which would be roughly 10 hours of screen time on a full 100% to 0% charge

Stock Everything. Unlocked Bootloader Via HTC Dev. Rooted. Twrp Recovery. Xposed Framework w/ Sense 6 Toolbox. I run battery saver setting on at all times because I have no need for full processing power and data should always sleep while the phone is sleeping IMO. But I leave Haptic on and don't have it auto reduce brightness.
Last I had charged My phone to 100% on thursday night. Unplugged and did not plug back in until Monday night. That's the most I have gotten so far. Right now I'm at 34.5 hours since charging with 56% charge left and roughly 3.25 to 2.5 hours of screen on. I don't plan on having charging until tomorrow evening, but i still have my mophie external just in case.

Ah, I think that might do the trick there...I have my screen on full brightness, data is on at all times, and I click off power-saver when it comes on because it makes my screen dark lol...I think those differences right there would settle the confusion on my part!
Thanks for sharing, I know if I ever get in a bind where I won't have a charger for a few days, I'll use the Pure+ Method haha

Lol. Sound great to me! You can always change the power saver setting to not reduce brightness and not reduce processing power. Then it will just sleep data connection and some background data. That could increase your usage by a couple hours most likely.
im happy with it.
i beleive i flashed it to over clock 2.7 (Cant remember)
37hrs of battery life right now at 28% remaining with 4.5 hours of screen on time
I recently charged my phone overnight and suddenly the battery has gotten worse. I thought it was an error with the ROM possibly so I updated it and to no avail. On Ampere the battery health is good but the actual speed of charging fluctuates from 10ma to 1830ma (but it also peaked at 4880 so take that with a grain of salt). The battery has also been lasting a lot less than before. I'm running the default Global ROM. Any help is appreciated as currently I'm charging it fully to try and calibrate it.

seemingly rooting & deleting battery data file is the only solution. I'm hoping to recalubrate it naturally by totally discharging & recharging it to 100 upon normal usage don't know if it'll harm my battery though :/

Does your phone charge quickly again? I'm following a guide I found on Android Pit and I hope it helps.
yeah I've noticed bad battery on last 2 updates, 7.3.6 and 7.3.7 global rom. Looking in installed apps, runing, I can lots of processes stuck on restarting all the time.
My battery was actually charging normally but the max amount of usage was like 4 to 5 hours SOT and in normal use one day and a half... This happened to me after flashing CM13, though i don't charge the developer for this "Problem" as it might not be the dev's fault but mine...

Haven't had a lot of time to test battery life but my issue now is that my watch doesn't charge above 75%, anyone else experiencing this?
Give it some time, the first day or two after the update my battery was terrible, but it leveled out after. I've lost 9 percent in the last 6 hours
It's still horrible here after over a week. Did it improve with anyone's watch? I'm seriously considering downgrading back to AW 1.0
Have you done a factory reset since the update? If not do one.
Then run the battery down till it shuts off and then charge it back up full this will reset the battery stats.
My battery lasted only for ~12h after AW2. Only solution now for me is to turn off ambient display ("always on" option), now I need to charge only every other day with consumption ~40% in 24h.
Battery life is still not happening. Any new updates?
Hi.
My battery life, for about a week after the aw2 update, is still not happening. I'm only getting about 12 to 14 hours where before I was almost getting 2 days. That's with ambient and tilt settings on. Never had a problem before the update. And I'd hate to start turning things off just to get better battery life.
Does anyone have an update on how to fix this and what's going on?
Thanks.
Disable tilt setting very better but still not amazing....
or disable ambiant.

I did disable both of them. The battery is a little better, but nothing like before the update.
I use with ambiant and Asus face, not impressive but about 4% at 4.5% by hour for my usage. So can be used for a long day with 16-20H. Before I can have 3.5% or little better (but not always) so not huge difference.

Ok. With Always On turned off and Tilt left on and using Facer for a watch face ive gotten 31 hours with 20 percent left.
Now, I'm starting to feel happy again! I'm gonna try the same settings but switch watch face to a zw2 face and see what happens.

Battery life on mine has been crap since 2.0. ambient screen is off, WiFi off and I'm lucky if it last 2 days. But the charger connection has become complete crap too. Had to order another charging cable... Which is made in China since I can't find actual Asus brand ones for sell anywhere. Takes 10 minutes and lots of attempts to get it to register the charger is connected. Even clean all the prongs to

Hy,
Mine was also very bad battery life after updating to androidwear2,0.
I downgraded back to AW1.5, and then after this, i did my update to 2,0.
Now my battery is even better then on 1.5.
I don't know why, but this method work for me.

If battery is your only problem... root your AW2 with TWRP flashed as recovery and just flash Magisk v14.0. Then load https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sssemil.advancedsettings and check your Performance settings. Set "Governor" to Ondemand and "Min Frequency" to 600000. Quite a difference that way.
EDIT: Btw, you have to start the app once then the root permission thing shows up sooner or later, but no way to allow it that way (AW is no full Android and you can see it there for example...) then hop over to Magisk app and under Superuser allow root forever. Then the app works.

Hi all. From a month to now I'm facing an odd problem with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 SD International. First of all I tried several ROMs: both MIUI Global and Developer, LOS, RR, LegendROM, AOSP Extended and XenonHD: in every of these ROMs, battery performances are quite poor: two months ago screen on time was not less than 9 to 10 hours, now it's hard to reach 6 hours of SOT. I have to charge the phone every two days instead of three. I tried several kernels and power consumpion profile but they didn't help. Is my battery faulty? How con I solve this problem?

Done, let's try it!
I'm sure it's planned obsolescence. The redmi note 2 had the same bug. It drained quickly and charged quickly too. But when you let it drain to 0%, and powered it back on, it still had 35% left. You could still use your phone for 1h after that.
Overnight charge is okay, just don't let it drain to 0%... You should charge your phone everyday. Not once in 3 day.

Assuming the battery was charged every 3 days, are you usually use it from 100 until it's very low power or empty??
if yes, then your battery might already broken...
its because full cycle usage will degrade battery performance faster, just do full-cycle when the battery meter is not accurate to calibrate it, otherwise don't let it fall under 10% or even 0%.
Believe it or not. Battery gets weaker and phone tends to easily heat up after we begin torturing our phones by unlocking and flashing tons of ROMs very frequently. In such Flashing back fastboot images also doesn't bring back that wow factor of the phone.
This is my personnel experience with 5 Android phones till date. The one locked and unrooted is still giving best backup.
But yea we obviously miss some wow mods of xda like Viperfx being unrooted.
Hi, I've opened a thread describing my situation, you can take a look at it if you want to, it may help in finding the solution. I would appreciate if anyone could help me.
The problem is causing buy the wifi.
The phone have a wifi issue.
I write a tread about this.
I found some strange behavior with my phone for the past two months. Actually, the problem started when they released MIUI 9 and it is getting worse over time. The battery is draining really fast. When I check the usage, android consumes almost 70% of the battery. I had reported the issue to MI support and it seemed ok for a few days when I updated it to 9.6.1.0, but the issue seems to be back now. The only option I have right now is to use other custom roms. Can this happen because of faulty battery? I hope not!
---------- Post added at 12:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:02 PM ----------
I am facing a similar issue. When I checked battery usage, android is using 70% of the battery. Could this be an issue with battery? I used to plug my phone over night in the past.
Try let your battery drain to 0% so phone will shut down, this is called calibration btw.(do not use play store apps, all they do is deleting some files which do not work like intended)
Then charge till 95% at most and try again. Btw don't charge phone overnight as it was mentioned above and try charging it when the battery drops to 15%-20%. At most let it charge until 95% you don't want to overdo it. If the issue still persists then you might want a battery replacement.
It's been almost a week I changed my Verge with a brand new 47mm Amazfit GTR.
I was so happy to have something with long lasting battery like a Bip (which I still have), but more elegant than it or a Verge.
But now comes the problems, the battery consumption is 20% per day and I can't fix the GPS.
Now someone told it's because the AGPS in the SmartWatch is stuck and I should force updating the AGPS from the phone.
Honestly I don't know, but I'm really disappointed.
Can you guys help me?
Have you tried resetting? When I set mine up it was stuck missing and update of one if the libs and the app wouldn't resume the update.
Try factory reset

Amazfit GTR 47mm battery drain
Hi, I received Amazfit GTR week ago and since then I noticed extremely short battery life. I'm not using any gps, just notifications and battery last barely 5 days losing about 20% per day. Also I tried shutting down the watch with around 70% of battery and after 24 hours I tried to switch it on and the battery was completely empty! I tried factory reset, didn't help. I really like the watch but this is not ok since manufacturer stated battery life up to 24 days. Could it be ROM or battery damage?
Same with me. Losing more than 10 percent a day (24h) without GPS, heart rate, notifications. Reset didn't help. Hopefully just a Firmware issue.
The last 24h even needed 24 percent of battery...

I'm more and more convinced that the battery is damaged or some other hardware problem related to battery.
If the battery drains fast after a couple of factory resets and full charges (let the watch charging for about 45min more after it shows 100%) using default the configuration, then probably it is damaged. I would claim warranty ASAP...
Amazfit Support told me to make a Support Ticket in the amazfit app, so they get the watch log. And Also i should claim warranty. They said if you turn off Bluetooth, use the Stock watch face and activate do not disturbe the Power consumption should He around 2 percent in 24h (starting with 100 percent).
Mine lost so far 4 percent in only 8h.
I raised ticket to gearbest for replacement or refund since battery life was horrible, 30% in 12h usage, notifications on only! Today they offered me a free exchange or full refund. I chose free exchange of watch.
I also had problems with battery drain. I tested it with a charge meter, so can tell a full charge would put about 400mah in the battery.
I did it between a couple of factory resets...
The problem is it's discharing about 15-20% per 24h with no use, just time and some notifications. In nitght it's loosing 6% resting unused, with saver mode.
I think it's not a hardware problem but a firmware problem (for global model users) because I don't think such a lot of watches could be shipped broken...
Hope Huami realease and update in a couple of days or I will also have to return mine.....

I doubt it's a firmware issue since battery draining happens even when the watch is powered off. I lost 70% battery in 24h with watch completely powered off! Returned to gearbest yesterday and waiting for free replacement.

I haven't noticed that....I will test it tonight. It could be a hardware fault then.
In the other hand, I had similar problems with a Tablet (not Xiaomi); with 2 identical tablets, with different roms, one drains battery when powered off and the other don't. So, in some devices, the "power off" function is relative, it could be a firmware failure at the end, maybe not disabling some hardware, like the GPS module.
Please told us if you get similar draining when you got new one.
