Mediapad m5 lte always charging - Huawei MediaPad M5 Questions & Answers

Hello. I got my tablet yesterday I have a question
Can I use my tablet with 100%bat and keep charging it and using it without problem to damage the battery? Normally I work all day with him and it's better this way for me instead charge when is empty.
Thanks

It's not healthy for the battery but if you're using it connected to the charger anyway.

[Q] Screen responsiveness when charging?

Hey guys,
I've seen this for other phones but I didn't see a thread here. When my Razr is charging it's basically unusable as the touchscreen is very erratic.
Is there any way to fix this or is it just down to trial and error with different chargers or something like that?
Thanks!
Well writing right now from razr while charging it.
I do not have this problems. Everything works fine.

I have a off brand charger that will do that. I can't even use the phone unless I take it off the charger bascially. It's a wall charger that isn't USB. My Motorola USB charger that came with the phone won't do this.
the cause of this is using chargers that did not originally come with the phone.
It will charge the phone but because of wiring/voltage differences your phone becomes erratic receiving input from both ur finger and the charger plug
........or something like that

Never used a non original charger and the same happens to me sometimes with default swipe keyboard.

I have that problem too. Using swiftkey x and the default keyboard. It only happens when the phone is plugged to the official charger and has over 89%of battery. It starts to became a bit crazy.

I'm using the charger that came with my razr and its almost unusable while charging.

I also have the problem using the original Motorola charger. On mine it depends how fast it's charging. The faster it's charging, the more unresponsive the touch input is. The charging rate depends on the total charge % of the battery.
You can see the charge/discharge rate using the Battery Monitor Widget, along with a full history.
Mine is like this:
Under 80% battery: charging at +850mA/hr. This is when it's most unresponsive.
80% - 95%: it tapers off to +550mA/hr, when the phone is usable, but not perfect.
over 95%: charging at +35mA/hr and the phone is completely responsive.
A bit unrelated - using the latest AOKP GSM, my battery drains at 0.6%/hr (-9 to -11mA/hr) when idle, with no power saving features enabled. Not too bad!
My samsung charger and htc charger both work fine.
The moto one seems to cause issues on occasion but ive never paid attention to the battery level just stopped using it.

Charging Time

How long does it take before your batteries are fully charged?
First, need to start by stating it seems the charger that came with my S3 may need replacing, as the phone doesnt charge when I connect it. I connected my Note's charger though and it started charging.
I let my battery drain to 1% and started charging, its been 2 and a half hours and its at 47%.
Does that sound normal? My Note gets fully charged in about 3 and a half hours.

Have you tried the original charger & cable again after you got a little juice in the battery from Note's charger? Also to determine if its charging slowly, were you using the phone for various things while it was charging??? How long has your screen been on while charging, because that is the biggest battery sucker on a Samsung device.
Just tried using the original charger and no luck. Weird thing is the S3 seems to think it.is just connected via USB as the USB connection prompt appears whenever I try to use that charger, but still doesnt charge.
Im using the Note's charger now and it is charging again.
The entire time the phone was sleeping, screen was not on.

Sounds like either a defective charger, or a defective battery/phone. If you have a warranty, I advise exchanging your device through that method.
Thanks went to Samsung and turns out the cable is defective.
How long does it take for your S3s to fully charge coming from little to no charge?

I never leave mine till 1%. Usually at around 20% and it takes 4-5 hours. Is it better to leave till 1%?
Also how fast are you depleting a? Had a galaxy s and a iphone 4 before and the s3 seems too deplete a little faster.

Battery charging issue?

Hi,
I just noticed that after 12+h connected to charger my SGS3 is still at 87% of battery level. Does anyone faced that kind of issue?
- phone is new
- this is first full charge
- soft: JB (XEO)

hi adam!
that is odd.. i have not experienced that.... ever.
anyway, here are some of my theories:
considering you are using a wall socket...
a. your battery is defective
b. your charger is defective
c. just some other matters such as: black-out, some one unplugged the charger
i suggest you use your warranty now

Its ok now, i restarted the phone, charged it a bit turned off, and started charging again when turned on. its now green led and 100% looks like new battery stuck for a while when charging.

Ps: i am using HTC charger with orignal s3 cable

[Q] Battery Bug

Hey,
So I've been using my RAZR XT910 for almost a year now. The phone's battery discharges from 50% to 20% all of a sudden. Also, if I plug in the charger to the phone, instead of charging, the battery discharges! If my battery is at 15% suppose, and I plug in the AC charger, then after a while its down to 10% instead of getting charged to 20%.
Has anybody else experienced this? This is causing a lot of inconvenience and I'm thinking of getting it fixed at the service center, however since my phone is rooted and I have installed CM10/AOKP in the past, I'm afraid they may find out and void my warranty. Its on STOCK ROM now btw.
I noticed mine did this too but I was using a non-motorola charger. Ever since I got one it has been fine. Have you tried charging it all the way to 100% with the phone off?

I wouldn't think that charging slow or fast would affect the battery life at all. The only concern I see when charging the battery is that you don't overheat it, and neither of these options sound like they are going to do that.
I would say that the only way your method of charging could affect battery life is if you used one of those "rapid charge stations" in airports. I would imagine fully charging your battery in 15 minutes could not be good for it.
Thanks! I am afraid about that if could affect the battery life, because I still use the phone charger I just changed the usb cable to a longer one, maybe the cable electrical conductor is not good quality as the original one.
And this can take all night to charge the battery. Time it's not problem, I just care about battery life.

The material, length and quality of the USB cable has no significance what so ever for the charging times, trust me. If it's USB 3.0 or not may, though.
