When I have my Honor 10 phone in a phone case, it enables touch-disable mode. Does anybody have a way of disabling this mode, as I cannot find it in settings. I also tried this solution:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-how-to-off-touch-disable-mode-t3803443
However "touch_disable_mode" does not appear in the table. I cannot find it anywhere.
Thank you

Well, although I've got smart lock enabled and configured, after I configured it just disappeared from the settings menu, and I just can't find it.
If i pair a new bluetooth it shows me the notification to add it as a trusted device, but I can't access the main screen with all the options.
Anyone knows it theres a way that I can access it, maybe trough an intent or something like that. I'm going nuts with this, any help?
Cheers
Just got my Honor 5X, but previously tested the GX8 and saw the same issue. Have also tested across stock Android, TouchWiz, and Sense, and confirmed this is an EMUI issue, so I'm hoping someone can help me fix it or work around it.
I use CarHomeUltra while driving, and the app can start/stop Car Mode, so that while active, pressing the home button takes you back to CarHomeUltra, instead of your normal homescreen.
The problem is, when this option is chosen, I get an error message that Car Mode cannot be activated because "Android HwResolver" is the default, and that I need to clear the defaults. However, when I go to "Android HwResolver" in the App settings, the "Clear Defaults" button is greyed out, indicating that there are no defaults.
This is *really* annoying, and I'm hoping someone can help.
I'm not currently rooted, but am comfortable rooting if that's the best way to resolve this.

Hi Ricky, thanks for reporting this issue. I have escalated it to the honor software team.

I'm glad I found this thread. It's not exclusive to the Honor 5X. I'm using a Mate 8 (AL10) 128gb model on T-Mobile and run into the same issue. I typically have been closing it out, anytime the prompt comes up, but seems like a Huawei thing more-so than specific to a model.
Probably in the kernel. Pry-fi (which changes your Mac address) also seems to have some problems. So does the pcap_loop command.

Same problem with P8Lite! Any news from the software team? Thanks
Sorry for my massive editing!
I use Car Home Ultra on my Honor 8 and ran into the same issue, albeit only after installing Android Auto.
Try this:
Install a second app that 'accesses' Car Mode.
Go through the setup process if applicable.
When prompted choose your preferred app as default.
I did this with Car Home Ultra as my main app and Android Auto as second. I was prompted for the default app a couple of times upon exciting Car Home Ultra, but finally it seems to work.
I keep getting the "Charging blocked due to moisture" popup out of nowhere. This phone has not seen any water other than a little rain.
Already tried clearing the cache of the LG System Server app.
Tried clearing out any debris from the charging port.
The phone charges fine when powered off. Just not when on.
When I plug it in while off it sometimes launches itself to the LG Firmware Update Screen.
I can't use the LG Mobile Support tool as the phone won't connect to my PC.
I have tried every possible trick from this thread here, even this here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg...rt-warning-t3617975/post74392539#post74392539.
Nothing is working
Try putting the phone in a bucket of rice over night. Then see what happens. If it works, then Id blame the rain, otherwise if it still isnt working, then you have a hardware defect.

How many different cables have you tried?
Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
My Samsung S8 does this from time to time.
The trick is to get it properly wet (like running it under a tap); then dry it out again properly using rice etc.
Tried all of the above. Still comes and goes as it pleases. LG wants me to send my phone away for 2 weeks to get it fixed, and that's just not realistic right now.

There's a setting in the hidden menu to turn that setting off. I saw it last night.

Can you tell us how to access the hidden menu and what did you turn off? I have LG G6 but the exact same issue.
*#546368#*930# ----> SVC Menu ---> Moisture Detect Setting ---> Disable
Let me know if it helps!
EDIT: one detail was missing, open LG default dialer ( with google's, and probably others, it doesn't work ) and type the code above to access the hidden menu.
Now that I pay attention to it I notice your signature tells your wrote it from an H932 that means the code for you changes to *#546368#*932#

Thank you for that info. Unfortunately, my phone G6 - H872 does not have that option in the SVC Menu. I wonder if there is another menu that this option can be accessed from. If it does, it would be a life saver.
(was already answered. Sorry for the duplication)
The V30 service menu has a setting to enable/disable moisture detection. My stock AT&T H931 had this set to Disable. In the service menu, you can change the setting. Perhaps the moisture sensor is defect and produces a false alarm?
There are other posts about the service menu, but here is the short version. Use the native dialer and type in *#546368#*931# <<substitute 931 with your phone version. Up comes the menu with 4 categories. Under SVC Menu further down find the Moisture Detect Setting. Perhaps disabling will help solve the problem.
Cheers,

You can't get into the hidden menu? Then you need a different menu code.

My found died completely, while on vacation. And my phone still refused to charge wen plugged in. Either showed me 0% plug in OR moisture block unplug.
I found a way to beat it.
I dont know if it will work for all phones. But for my LG G6 it works.
Plug the phone in >>>>> Press and hold >>>>Volume up + Down + Power Button all the the same time >>>>> HOLD Until >>>> IMEI displays.
It wont show that the phone is charging!! BUT IT IS.
I did this last night. Turned the phone on trying to get out of that mode. And i had 1%.
Repeated steps. And left the phone to charge for about 4 hrs. >>> unplugged >>>> turned on >>>> 100%
Hope thos helps someone else.

My phone will not go to the hidden service menu by typing the string above into the native dialer. Any suggestions?

About a week ago my phone got permanently stuck on the Smart Cover screen and I haven't been able to get rid of it. I've searched around and have tried these options:
Wiped cache and factory reset my phone
Calling it (it goes straight to voice mail and doesn't pop up on the phone)
Waving a magnet over the phone to see if that will unlock it
Letting it off for awhile then turning it back on
Cannot turn off the setting for it as I can't get past this screen
The only thing I can do is get into fastboot mode but HiSuite isn't picking it up.
Any other solutions I haven't tried yet? If not I'll have to get it repaired.
Cheers.

I'm completely locked out of the phone as it is stuck on "display always on"
Sorry.
Didnt read properly.
@kenny326 - how did you fix yours? same with mine now. Thanks!
You can disable smart cover mode in accessibility settings
Edit: oh nevermind I didn't thoroughly read through the post...not sure how to fix if you can't even unlock the device...probably something wrong with the proximity sensor
i can't open my setting app on my phone, whenever i do it instantly crash and wont even show on my recent apps.
please help. I've tried opening it in safe mode but still its a no go. i can't seem to find a solution other then a full recovery, but i can't even enable debugging mode...
I don't want to factory reset, please help me out here.
thank you!
It worked fine just yesterday. the issue happened after the battery drained fully. I plugged it in and when i opened the phone i couldn't open the settings, also I can't access the settings like WIFI networks list from the notification shortcuts obviously.
I attached video explaining what's is happening
