You got the device pretty early
The device launched two month ago in China so MEIZU hasn't even released this device firmware.
That means no TWRP recovery yet
MEIZU also going to launch this phone globally in a few months so the best thing for now is wait.
(They announced that they going to launch this phone soon in Greece)
I really believe this device would get a good community support as SD625+Sony IMX 362 makes a great combo.
The camera really destroys even the Mi6 sensor in some ocations and the phone only cost 140€ for the 16gb version.
Also don't forget the quite superior front facing camera .
I was going to get the mi a1 but when I saw this bad boy I knew this is the phone I'll get.

If I understand you're talking about the M6 Note community.
There no global release for the device yet .
Even MEIZU hasn't released the device ROM on their website so no bootloader unlock or custom recoveries yet.
MEIZU will launch the phone soon in EU so we'll have to wait for a global ROM , bootloader unlock tool and kernel sources

Just ordered this phone myself, can you tell me what this means and how did you notice? Will I be able to use it effectively in Holland and Belgium where band 20 is used!?

I bought it at Lightinthebox. I checked several sites for Band 20 and they confirmed it. Prior to this phone I had GalaxyS5 and LG G3 and both had 4G in my area. The Meizu did not receive 4G. After installing the app Network Signal Guru I discovered no band 20 was supported on my Meizu. I have KPN as proviceder and they use Band 20 for G4. In crowded areas like "Randstad" they also support B3 which the Meizu supports and confirm that 4G is working on B3 but not B20. The support desk of Lightinthebox will check this with Meizu.
Update: I found out you need model B721H Global version

Does the Poco F1 have NFC (at least in europe)??? I read somewhere that it doesnt have NFC, which would suck, since Google Pay just started here in Germany...
As far as we've seen specs, they all indicate it doesn't come with NFC, I guess it's a small trade they made for a cheaper phone (small for me since I don't use it)
No NFC. Read the reviews from Android Authority and GSMArena. The Verge also covered the phone.
I don't mind since there are no other SD845 phones under $399. They had to cut corners. NFC and IP cert are usually on the chopping block as far as features go...

People in India don't need NFC. Because we barely use it. In the last five years I never used NFC. Maybe for Europe people their transport system has payments with NFC so they'll face an issue.

I never use NFC for payment. But using NFC for sending files (android beam) or transferring file from old phone to new one (if both support NFC) are pretty neat!
I am still confused. Many places say it doesn't have it but some websites (XDA included) state it does. Could someone verify?
Maybe its possible to Upgrade NFC with a NFC enabled Back Cover. WE need a tear down Video already!
The specs given initially on XDA included NFC. But it handy seems this was not correct - the post has been ammended to state "no NFC", consistent with other reports and hands-on videos I've seen.
I've never come across an external NFC device for any phone. Would be a handy device to have, though it would presumably occupy the usb-c, which in itself would be a PITA
Someone on another forum raised an interesting idea. There were the initial ideas that the F1 might have NFC. It was suggested that either the European version might have NFC or even that all versions might have NFC but that it might not be enabled in the Indian ROM.
To check this, if anyone has an F1, could they please install DevCheck from XDA or Play and just check on the hardware page to verify that NFC hardware is not present.

Hi Sanjay, that's the case on my Hong Kong / international version too - i think naff47 is asking about the European version (if that's different from the international one - highly doubtful I'd have thought). I read from someone in the Netherlands that it had launched there (it's available on import from China pretty much everywhere), but haven't seen this confirmed.

Hongkong probably will be made in China, whereas mine is made in India.
Not too sure if there is any other manufacturing facility for our phone
Plus I don't think NFC will add that much to the cost that they will put it in selectively.
The only way to use NFC with the F1 is by getting Samsung S3 Fronier smart watch. That will connect to the F1 and the watch has NFC. I tested it and it works great. You need to use Magisk hide if you're rooted,
There is no NFC built into the Poco.

Just to check, have you managed to write to tags as well as read from them?
I won't be shelling out on a Samsung smart watch, but if that works, there's hope for other smart watches!

Who is gonna spend that much and that also in country like India.
but in India we use Mostly Paytm, PhonePe, BHIM UPI etc. apps which are UPI based apps so We don't need NFC must Have.
UPI is the standard way from Indian Government to Pay Digitally even with Low End Phones, and this phone is made accordingly!
How to make the LGs Dual Screen Case work with other phones? There's always a way for everything with Android. I found a development page for the dual screen on LGs site but I don't know how to go about any of that yet. Maybe on rooted phones it would be easier to figure out or does it have to be written into the software? Thank you guys!

Dual screen case won't work for other phones.

Could you use G8X dual case on V50 Thinq (one that is already set up for dual screen)?
Can you get it to work with other phones ? Older LG thinQ phones like the v35?
Naah. It surely won't work. Even if anything lights up the second screen somehow, a custom rom like that of LG's would be needed to use the same
The most you could do is mirror your screen and cant use it as seperate screen.

It will works fine bro U just need USB 4 SUPPORTED device or any Smartphone that capable Display output via USB port like all Samsung Flagships
U can use Samsung Galaxy S9 or any other Flagship Samsung with that dual screen and you will definitely get all benefits of Samsung Dex
I have my gaming monitor that have type c display input when i plug my Samsung Galaxy S9 to my monitor via type c to type c cable and it Works with My monitor
LG phones should works fine with any Type c input monitor and projectors

tried v30 and v40
I've tried putting G8X DualScreen case onto v40, V50 korea, v50 us, v30, v50s
Only v50 korea shows usb connection, power supply mode
But the screen, charging, buttons don't work at all
Also you need matching firmware
G8X DualScreen case (v515) works with 901lg & v50s
Velvet DualScreen cases (g905 and g915) for example doesn't work with each other

It is, the V50s is pretty much identical to the G8X, but it has more RAM and storage. The 5G is not very well supported, for starters it's the 2.5G variant, 41 NSA that works in some networks in Canada, US (T-Mobile), Saudi Arabia, South Korea, China and Thailand. It also has a smaller selection of languages and you cannot root it without breaking the fingerprint reader (the fixing hack does not work on the V50s as it never had the Android 9 version that has the bug needed to fix it). It does work well with the Dual Screen case thou, and as a Korean model you get the FM radio and the built-in call recording feature that's missing from the US G8X.
Wow, that's great info @zdanee , thank you! The more I look into it the less likely it becomes. While the larger storage and RAM are appealing, I'm on Verizon and wouldn't be able to use the 5G. Plus it has LTE Cat 19 vs the G8X Cat 20 so it has slower data speeds in general.

I'm curious if software could be written to support this or if it's something that would have to be written into the kernel?

So just found out that amazon is selling the realme x50 pro 5g, cheaper than the oneplus 8 and it's got me very interested in this phone. Just wanted to find out if anyone has come from oneplus 8,if so what are your thoughts please?
Yap me I had a OnePlus 8 for around 2 weeks. And I had a lot of trouble with it, I had mobile internet interrupting 5g does not work when I was in a area where 5g is available and so on. I sent it back to Amazon and order me the x50pro, is 100€ cheaper and runs way better,faster and smoother then the OnePlus 8 :good:

Really that's good to hear. So in your opinion, the realme x50 pro 5g is faster than the oneplus?how about the sound for speakers?. Any annoying things which you've found, which are better on the oneplus?
The x50pro is all in n all the better phone the sound is great 5g works as it should in areas where 5g is available. Fingerprint unlock is also faster as on the OnePlus 8, for me is the x50pro the better phone in all areas. I have no regrets about buying and changing from OnePlus to realme :good::good:

I haven't had a OnePlus 8, but I was very tempted to buy the phone, then I looked on OnePlus Community forums and found that loads of people have been having so many issues. So I bought the Realme X50 Pro 5G and I have to say it hasn't disappointed me. Camera isn't the best for night sight phots, I'll be honest but no brands are. Gcam is also working and overall, I don't think you'll have an issue with the phone.
If you are looking at modifying (rooting / unlocking bootloader / custom roms etc.), I'm not sure how well this phone is going to do in comparison to a larger scale company as OnePlus.
Also, BBK Electronics owns OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo and Realme so the big difference is software, I was doubtful of the Realme UI (ColorOS), however it is actually just a nice skin. Updates from what I've found seem alright for Realme devices on a whole (industry standard anyway) and yeah, I'm loving the phone.

That's correct. I have the CN version and I had to disable the stock message app via ADB to be able to set Google message as the default. However, every time a message comes in, I get a warning pop-up.
Installed Google messages and set it as default, no issues or warnings here if a sms comes in :good:

On my UK device, I installed Google messages, opened the app and I could easily change the default messaging app (not sure if in the app or under default apps (settings). But it was easy, and to hide the other used the built in app lock to hide it from the launcher. Chat features / RCS are working fine for me on UK networks.

RMX2075 is the EU Version, RMX2076 is India.

Also can confirm from the RMX2075 (UK) that installing Google Messages and changing default has had no issue with me.

Android Auto doesn't work.
Can't change default messages app without using ADB and even then, I get a warning message every time a text comes in.
Can only set 5 apps to autostart. As a result, not all apps gives push notifications.
Sometimes after a call, when I press the hang-up button, the dialer closes but the call continues. Only way to end is to turn on airplane mode.
Changed the default launcher but sometimes it goes back to the stock launcher.

That is, snapdragon 720g has dual gps.
Location

• NavIC support
• Dual-FrequencyGNSS (L1 + L5)

Unpleasant in practice, miui 11 detects only
gps, beidou, glonass L1.
I reported to xiaomi that there is no galileo and dual gps.
We are waiting for a gps correction in miui12.
Apparently it will take a few weeks on miui 12.

I am also waiting for a gps patch.
They said that it will be version miui 12 right away.
I guess there will be the next version of miui 11 only immediately miui 12.

I sent a mail to Italian customer service (first days of june) and initially they said it will ne fixed with MIUI12.
Then galileo disappeared from specs on Xiaomi's official page, I sent another mail to ask why it wasn't listed anymore and they said it is not supported??

The RN9 pro was my favorite to buy, but GPS is a priority
I tested gps fix on my way to another city which takes about 20 minutes to get there. The gps had the fix after 15 minutes of driving. This is so unpleasant from brand new phone....
