What do you mean?
Does it have root access and have you enabled some filters?

Have you tried DNS66? First you have to download F-Droid from the website. F-Droid is an alternative App Store not operated by Google. DNS66 doesn't need root and works very reliably with me.

AD-AWAY worked flawless on my Samsung device, but seems products from brand named Mi by Xiaomi are only worth to use there custom crap all in CHINESE LANGUAGE..
It wont allow customization, and It will take soo many months to learn CHINESE.
Time to boycott xiaomi devices completely now.
I tried making couple of useful topics for users interested in XDA apps..
like Greenify, Magisk , Xposed, etc.
Made similar topics on there site too (unsure what they do with there site, amalgamation, departure, etc. etc.)
All topics lost, where noone is interested..
It seems there are only novice users left who come for a solution..
EXperts try there best and post solutions (appreicate them on XDA)
Most of solutions are copied back from XDA..

No Idea what you are talking about. Adaway, Greenify, Xposed and everything else is working perfectly fine for me and everybody else.
You are the only one having problems with it and you cannot answer simple questions like how you rooted your phone.
And what Chinese? Everything is in English, German, Spanish, Russian and dozens of other languages.

In Apps Ads

Hi, I've been using AdAway for a couple of years and about three month or so, some in apps ads are not block (such as musixmatch, textra, mangarock...);
I've installed xposed module MinMinGuard and nothing, ads keep popin up from time to time on the same apps.
Your help is much appreciated.
You might need a flashable zip that blocks ads based on your hosts file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-rps-systemless-ad-block-t3433672
I think this will do the job.
If it doesn't work, then you can find such a flashable zip on the general android forums (or something like that)of xda.
I think it was called mother of ad blocking or something.

Lucky Patcher is what I use as well(although its somewhat boring having to wait for it), but I don't mention it because it is(frequently) associated with piracy

It is not spyware.
I thought it's used to get anonymous usage statics and device information! Duh. It certainly picked up my interest. I will try decompiling it and check!

i was about to make thread regarding this yesterday only.. but huge thanks to you that you made it.. BUT WHY ARE YOU LYING THAT YOU FOUND IT..? Its was figured out by chinese developer few years back itself on official chinese miui forum, But recently again it came in news after a student from netherlands tried to confront Xiaomi on this apk. And it was on Indian News Website aajtak yesterday, and here is the link...
http://aajtak.intoday.in/story/researcher-says-hackers-may-access-xiaomi-device-using-this-backdoor-1-887976.html
Now coming to the Apks, YES these two are sending users data to Xiaomi servers, but not 24x7 as its mention in news. Many users including myself aware of this when it came on miui forum 1 or 2 years back, So every time I update latest beta build i manaully delete these apks. :good:

you are lying it again dude, i dont know why. more you lie, you will dig yourself deeper... It was almost trending on facebook and popular android websites(as i have subscribed so many tech and android websites) from last 2 days, .. it came on aajtak website yesterday, they published 4 times the same article on thier FB page. Yes it came on miui forum once, but though the website is own by xiaomi, they deleted the thread after 3-4 days.
Now coming to you findings, first question, why did u uninstalled it? though it is a system app, how did you came to know its useless or spyware..? According to you it came back after you uninstalled it, Let me tell you, It only comes back when you install a system update, and everyone knows here, when you flash updated MIUI version, every system apps comes again with it. even you loss root n xposed too. So if you updated your software, then you must be knowing everything, and there is no reason for doubting how it came back. And if it came back without updating, then You are BUSTED bro.
Second thing, Only titanium backup shows analytics.apk .. and no other System app uninstaller shows both of them(as far i have used), So you need to go through specific directories to delete them(root). and most time there are many copies of the same application in diferent locations, So you have to delete all of them and thier caches,

Could you correct your spelling as well please!
It is not "analyst" but called "Analytics"!
Package name: - com.miui.analytics
In system > app as: - AnalyticsCore.apk
Edit: No wonder you could not find anything on google, if you searching with the wrong phrase.

Cubot Echo Geocode Service TrojanDropper

Hello Developers ,
My Best Friend had buyd a Chinese Android Smartphone Cubot Echo this Month and we informed us about some specius Malware and this stuff. So we decided to download the Mobile Security from ESET and made a scan and its shown a TrojanDropper, so we decided again to flash the rom from the official Forum from Cubot . After we flashed it we dowloaded ESET Security again . Again this TrojaDropper in the GecodeServices ... he cant use the Phone with this TrojanDropper because its sending data to china if my logical understanding is correct. Maybe some of you want know it and make something out of it , hope you can help me in some time If you have question i can maybe answer it but im not so good in english so pardon me if i cant answer correct .P.S.: How do i post a screenshot of the result? im new in this forum so its said no you musst answer 10 post or somethimg else?
Same problem
Did you get anywhere fixing this? I have the same problem.
I have disabled the geocode service and so far have no more unathorised apps installing themselves but don't feel I can trust this phone. I haven't had time to play around much yet but, tried Kingoroot but failed to root my device so have not yet been able to try removing the malware.
I've contacted Cubot but they haven't replied. Will follow up on any progress I make.

How do you disable the geocode on this. I too am increasingly dissatified with this phone. The new upgrade forces you to use Google and removes any other web browser when you shut down. It doesn't like Dolphin. I have to download that everyday. It's huffing and puffing over Opera mini and now Firefox. I've not loaded up any other apps since the new upgrade.
I find it quite disturbing that my phone is forcing me to use things I don't want to use. I don't trust this phone either.
I quite liked Cubots, which is more the pity.
I think it's time to look for another phone...

Solution to the cubot echo adware?
Being a rooting virgin, and not knowing/understanding all the steps suggested by Ngadhnjim (despite being tempted to try anyway) I decided to try once more to reset my echo to the factory settings, but with a difference. This time on the restart I immediately stopped and then disabled the embedded youtube app. So far, it's been a couple of weeks, the phone has behaved perfectly, no sign yet of the dreaded lmuch web page or spurious ads. I will repost here if it starts misbehaving again. Until I do, it has behaved itself.
If it does start to misbehave, I will be asking Ngadhnjim if he could detail all the steps needed, from the very beginning, to set the phone up like he has.

[MOD][XPOSED]Unclutter IG - Hide Instagram ads & sponsored content [v1.2][2019-08-11]

[MOD][XPOSED]Unclutter IG - Hide Instagram ads & sponsored content [v1.2][2019-08-11]
Remove the clutter from your IG experience -- this Xposed module hides advertisements and promoted content from your Instagram feed and stories.
Also has bonus option to clean up the Explore (search) page; choose to stop showing all those suggested posts from public accounts.
As of 08/11/2019, confirmed to support latest release 105.0.0.18.119.
This module automates the process of intercepting and hiding the unwanted content, and shouldn't rely on specific IG versions to function properly.
However, if newer IG versions begin to break functionality, module updates should hopefully follow soon to keep up with the changes.
Note: Beyond the standard ads, 'paid partnership' branded content refers to any posts that are officially labeled as 'Paid partnership with [company]'.
Changelog
v1.2 - 8/11/2019:
• Added international support for hiding ads
v1.1 - 8/03/2019:
• Revised approach for finding the Explore page hooks; should support latest IG versions
v1.0 - 07/12/2019:
• Initial release

Thank you for creating this module! Seems to be working fine for me on IG 100.0.0.15.120. This is the first one I've tried that works flawlessly! Instagram usually drives me mad with all the adverts and suggested rubbish. :victory:
Woah!! Thanks for this awesome module!! (If XInsta merged with this, it would be the best Instagram mod out there!)
Thank you for this amazing module!
Finally I can remove all the bullsh*t on Insta.
Using this version of Instagram
Fantastic module, really appreciate your work!
Works like a charm on the latest version (101.0.0.15.120). Absolutely no ads are present in the feed or stories! Excellent work @Tremendo Slap! Big thanks!
works fine on GBinsta as well.... Can you do anything about the sponsored posts in stories in the upcoming versions?
@Tremendo Slap @xkip you guys should work together since you are making the same xposed module.
Finally! A 100% reliable method to block ads on Instagram. The integration is seamless too, no side effects at all. Thanks for this awesome module!
Can somebody confirm if it's writing with edxposed on pie, or not?

It's a false positive, you can safely ignore it.
New version 1.1 released, should support IG v104.0.0.21.118.
I noticed when I updated to that version, the module wasn't hiding the Explore page anymore. Some things changed internally, so I took a new approach to detecting whether I'm in the right areas of the Explore page. It's somewhat more hackish, but it should hopefully be more reliable moving forward.

They don't show up for me. I'm using the latest stable version of Instagram. Do note that this module is intended to work on the official version of Instagram, not a modded version (ike GBInsta, etc.) with which it may or may not work since the app is already modified.
I can't make it work is it because I'm using French language and so it can't recognize the sponsored post ??
The one from xkip works but stories are cut in half (the profile icon)
@Tremendo Slap I'm getting sponsored Ads when looking at stories too. It's happens when you look at one story after another.

*Forehead slap* Yes, because when I started making this mod for myself, it never even occurred to me to consider other languages! I was using a hardcoded string.
Pretty dumb oversight on my part. I've made the change in the latest version 1.2.
Thanks for letting me know!

install older version of mi browser on miui 11??

hello,
am on miui 11.0.5.0 global and was able to remove the stock mi browser(v10.....etc).
am trying to install an older version of mi browser that had better features than newer versions , it installs but keeps closing everytime i open it!
is there any workaround to make it work?
I know I'm not answering your question.
But why exactly do you prefer to use a browser filled with ads and junk?

Poco launcher gives you a neat way of hiding those bits of xiaomi scurf that you can't uninstall - why not just do that and browse with Iron or something better?

Regardless of ads or not, why do you still insist on using a inferior browser when there are so many others out there that do a better job.

i already mentioned the cause above!......the old version am talking about has a certain feature that isnt working anymore in new versions!.
All you mention is "the feature I'm looking for" or the "cause I'm looking for"
There's no direct mention or explanation of what you're looking for. Maybe more people will help you if you choose to explain a bit more rather than shut down every comment that's trying to help you.

the reason for posting this topic is to get help regarding running an older version of miui browser that installs but closes everytime i open in oreo/pie/q ......it runs fine on other android phones on nougat!!.
specifying the feature thats working on this old browser and not working on recent versions wont help coz poeple who "try to help" would simply recommend using other newer versions or even different browsers!!
if i wanted to shut comments ....i would have simply ignored any replies without a direct solution!!.
Okay, so you know how it works in the software world. Nobody codes everything from scratch. What we do is build upon the work of others to get what we want. Your previous browser would have been built with various libraries that it hooks into to provide different functionality. Now a new one has come out which was installed on your fone and this is using later versions of the libraries and possibly some APIs may have been dropped. So you're trying to use the old browser with the new libraries and it's entirely possible that the APIs/ABIs it needs are no longer available. So you're SOL. You're going to have to run your browser in debug mode to see what's wrong. I hope it works out for you.
