Q: Rebrand Mate 20 PRO - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, any chance or method to rebrand/change region from china to europe?
I have now update 9.0.0.201(C00E201R1P20patch01), on LYA-AL00. How can i change it to C432 or C636?
Thx

no workable way at this moment

I don't know if this solution works. But if you have bootloader unlock code, you may try it. But first, find a method to backup your original oeminfo.

Also, this process filmed by some youtuber. youtube.com/watch?v=8EvUIJZDcSo

[SOLVED] Bootloader locked. Need help to enable USB debugging in ADB/Fastboot mode

Hi,
I have made a failed attempt to REBRAND my Honor 9 ROM from Chinese to EU one. After trying to restore my phone from TWRP (also failed due to some unknown reason), I am finding my phone's bootloader locked.
I have the unlock code with me, however since USB debugging is not enabled i run into the following error:
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.016s
Any ideas on getting USB Debugging enabled via fastboot or adb ? I can't get past Huawei eRecovery.
Thanks

It is the Chinese model STF-AL10. It did not have FRP lock. However after trying to restore from your TWRP backup it started giving these messages.

Quick question about Rebranding

Hi all,
I am looking to pick up a Mate 10. The one that the seller has is L00 version so I suspect i'll need to flash it to L29 C636 for my use in Canada. I am new to flashing Huawei, was wondering if I HAVE to use FunkyHuawei or I can unlock the bootloader and use another method?
If I am not mistaken, Funky just lets you flash without unlocking bootloader, whereas the other method is free but will need to unlock bootloader. Am I correct?

Yes, with FunkyHuawei you don't need to unlock the bootloader, and can also be used to convert from mono-sim to dual sim.
For the free method, yes, you need to unlock the bootloader before rebranding.

REBRAND My HUAWEI NOVA 3e (Chinese version for P20 lite)

You need a working TWRP recovery for the P20 or Nova 3e. I do not think one exists at the moment. When there is one available, and you have unlocked bootloader, then you can use this method:
Use FirmwareFinder to download latest full ANE-LX1 ROM.
Download HuRUpdater from https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
follow instructions to force-flash the ROM to your device. It should work fine.

@Fox_Saver
Hello,
first you need from your build a FULL-Update : then you have a chance to self-repair. you can extract needed partitions (example: system.img) from the update.app
search "HuaweiUpdateExtractor"
the extractor extract *.img you needed (example : system.img and system.img.header), this *.img and *.img.header copy in your adb-folder
then you need from your wish-build a FULL-Update
you need unlocked bootloader (huawei - page : fill data from your phone and huawei tell you "unlock-code") (now is your phone by huawei marked as unlocked!)
or (dc-unlocker/HCU-client),but it's not free services!
then start phone to bootloader, "fastboot oem unlock 1234567890" 1234567890=your huawei unlock-code
lock on bootloader-screen that "bootloader=unlocked" AND "FRP=unlock"
now you can do with your phone what you wish WITH your own risk !
for twrp look in xda-forum Huawei P20 Lite, we have twrp with de-/encrypting (thank's Pretoriano80 !)
i hope this help

[HELP] MT: Firmware Update Finder and its usage...

Hey, everyone, I just got the new P20 Lite running EMUI 8.0 and on the June security patch. Been through MT's Firmware Finder before with the Huawei Mate 9 Lite; however, I have seen that the app isn't working well with Huawei's servers at the moment - via the screenshot below.
How can I update my phone (model: ANE-LX3C605) to the latest security update (August) using the app - because, I can't seem to receive the OTA Update?
Here's the latest screenshot detailing the problem.
The latest version ANE-LX3C605 is not yet approved
You have to wait for the Full-PV so you can try that update :good:

instead use HurUpdate 0.4, its better than HwOTA8. HwOTA is quite buggy and broken. With HurUpdater, you dont need to rebrand your phone, however you should download the files which are actually meant for your device as per current ROM installed. Only difficult is that, you have to unlock your device which may result in data wipe, but you can always take a backup and recover. You also need to install twrp (I recommend Pretorian8 twrp). Rooting is not required for that.

For the time being, unlocking bootloader might cost around 5-15 Euros via DC unlocker. Click here for the detailed guide.
As the user states, you can try your luck to unlock your bootloader for free by mailing huawei care. I dont know how many had success by mailing though, but many succeeded by using DC unlocker.
Now after you unlock your bootloader, you can try using HurUpdater with detailed guide and download link.

Yeah, I'm not gonna pay 5-15 euros to unlock my bootloader... I tried emailing Huawei and they don't give any unlock codes whatsoever. Looks like I might have to wait patiently.
I have the same problem as you, with my p20 lite ane lx3c605, i´ve allready downloaded the last version from FF the b147, but the stock recovery doesn´t istall it, it stays in 5% then says error while updating, it seems the only way to have an updated huawei phone is paying for the code to unlock the bootloader, with my p10 didn´t have that problem because the official unloking code page was still working a few months ago.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply sir. Really grateful for your answer, but from what I've read in the forums, if I need to rebrand it I would need my bootloader to be unlocked right? And I doubt Huawei bootloader could be unlocked tho.. But please do recommend which site or paid service I could use to get it done? But it would be best if I could get it done myself tho.. Really appreciate your answer sir

Well, you could do it yourself, but you would still need to pay for it. Start looking into DC-Phoenix, that should allow you to rebrand it, but it will cost you around 15€ for a 3 days license.

No, you can't get your unlock code with DC-Phoenix, but you should be able to rebrand your device.
And even if you would get an unlock code, you couldn't use it on EMUI10, only on EMUI 9.1 and lower.

What about demo mode in developer options? Have you checked if it's switched off? It's maybe different thing...
