Just curious, I noticed my beats audio is 'enabled' and the icon is in the tray with my other buds, and my gaming headphones (using the music app). The deep bass is present as well.
Is that normal? I thought beats audio only was active with the actual beats headphones? Does it just turn on every time you use the music app?
Nope. Any decent headset even car stereos with aux

Beats audio enhancement becomes available when ever the headphone jack is used with a stock Rezound.
Yeap its an an audio setting that will work with any headphones or audio system through the 3.5 mm jack, its just that the sound profile is tuned to match the beatz headphone frequency range but will work well with lots of other brands. The jack doesnt tell the phone beatz are plugged, just that a line out is plugged in, just happens that Beatz tuned it to heat suit the exact range of their headphones.

Now if only they would enable it to be used with blue tooth Headphones.
Also i only works with the music app, wish it would also work with Pandora, but oh well! Makes me music sound great!
i found a bug in .73;
sometimes if i listen to music with standard no mic stereo headphones (Sennheiser MX160), once i disconnect headphones and try to make a call the audio signal is not switched to the phone's speaker. so the call is mute, the other end can hear me but i can't hear the other end, if i connect the headphones and disconnect again the audio signal get routed correctly.
this doesn't happen if i connect, instead of Sehheiser headphones, the standard sony headphones or my "DIY" car stereo adapter...
I think it's an hardware bug, something looking for the impedence connected
I did notice an issue that's only occurred once, where audio wouldn't swap between headphones and speaker. I was watching a movie trailer at home on the loud speaker, then put my headset (aJays One+ with mic) in to listen to some music whilst on the move and it just didn't acknowledge the headphones. It took several restarts before the phone would correctly detect the headset and switch between the two. This was also on the .73 firmware.
Is there any way to use earpiece and speaker to mimic stereo speaker? There are apps to send music through earpiece only. Looking for app or specific .zip mode for our beloved kenzo.
Try shox audio mode https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/themes/audio-mod-hardware-based-best-audio-t3598455
Stereo mode wouldn't be very beneficial, since the earpiece and main speaker are different, however, as @Neuzn_b wrote, Shox Audio is a solution, which makes the earpiece into a second mono speaker.
Hi.
I have concert about stereo sound from my honour v10.
Instead of L(eft) channel sound and R(ight) channel sound on second earpiece I have L+R sound on L earpiece and L+R on R earpiece. I checked that on wired stereo speakers and 2 Bluetooth stereo speakers. Does any one tried sound sample with different L and R channel?
Is it only my phone like this?
... sorted. I combined two channels in settings.
I used to use WIRED EARPHONES (SMILE JAMAICA) with my MOTO Z PLAY on 3.5mm jack.
Now i want to switch to wireless earphones for hassle free workout in the gym.
but the problem is Audio Quality of the Bluetooth audio.
1. Wired & WIRELESS earphones sounds same when played through any music player app, besides wired one is a bit louder.
2. but when I apply any EQ Enhancement, Wired earphones sound great & virtualization is amazing (i.e. output quality enahnces like 50 to 100) but Audio enhancements doesn't work pretty much the same with wireless earphones (i.e. output quality enahances only like 50 to 52) i.e. wireless earphones sounds like I'm playing 64kbps mp3 file.
Why it so? In developer option CODEC is SBC as earphones are only supporting SBC.
