Good evening, since two months ago i started to have problems with my Huawei P20 lite. I think an OTA broke my phone because it updated one day and exactly the same day it started to reboot every 5 min and after that it had bootloop and was practically useless. Idk how but i made it works and i flashed it into a security patch. Now i can't use it to make calls, it says it doesn't have signal just emergency calls. Apart from that it does not work correctly the cam, i have the native cam app and when i take a photo with flash it reboots. This happen with whatsapp cam too and others apps that use cam.
You probably flashed a wrong version

Hi all,
I'm really hoping someone will be able to help me. My Nexus 10 has been working fine up til now. I just tried to take some photos, the first two were fine, the flash worked and they came out ok.. then I tried to take another but the flash didn't work. I figured it might just be a bug so I restarted the nexus, it still wouldn't work. then after a few mins the flash just came on and stayed on. so I went back to the camera app, the flash turned off and the app told me "cannot connect to camera". Another reboot and the camera is fine again but still no flash. Any suggestions? or is it RMA time... which I'm reluctant to do as other than this the tablet is perfect.
Thanks
The flash by-default is automatic, depending on lighting. May want to try going to the camera app, and making sure flash is actually on, and not automatic, and then giving it a shot.
Tried setting the flash from auto, no luck. Was in a fairly dark room anyway so auto should have caused the flash to go anyway. Thanks for the suggestion though

UPDATE - I tried flashing the factory image to check if it was some kind of corruption or software bug. Didn't work, still no flash. So I started reinstalling all my apps and setting everything back up and, while installing some humble bundle games, I accidentally started the camera app... and guess what, the flash came on and then went off again after it had focused. Took a few photos and the flash was working. Tried again 2 mins later (without changing anything on the device) and the flash has stopped working again...>.<

I recently put CM 11 on my Verizon S4. Everything was working fine. I decided to update to a more recent nightly (likely last weekend). After the update, my camera doesn't work any more. When I go in to the camera it shows a blank screen for the camera image, freezes for a while and then a popup says that the Camera Failed! After googling, I tried restoring the previous CM 11 image that worked previously. I tried wiping the cache, force closing the app and clearing cache and data, I re-flashed the original Samsung image, I did a factory reset. Nothing worked to restore the camera. I went in today to a phone repair shop and they replaced the camera module. That didn't help - it still didn't work. Thankfully they didn't charge me anything for their time which was really nice of them. I get home and restored the CM 11 backup of the working image. The camera still doesn't work and now the external speakers don't work for media files. I was afraid that it was something forgotten to be reconnected by the repair shop, but I can hear the phone ring when I make a call. (I haven't received a call yet so I don't know if it is only on outgoing calls).
Can anyone point me to help or resources for how I can diagnose and hopefully fix these problems? My phone is falling apart and I don't know what to do!

[Update] I solved the camera problem by restoring a backup of the original TW rom. This seems similar to a problem I had with dubbsy's rom where the GPS wouldn't work some times after a flash and required restoring the touchwiz rom to get it to work and then re-flashing the custom rom. Once the camera started working again with the original rom it continues to work with the OctOS rom. Strange but at least it works.
The external speaker was resolved by taking it back to the repair shop. He switched the external speaker module with one from another S4. Putting it back together it worked, but when he put back in all the screws and closed things up it didn't work again. Finally loosening a few screws, getting it to work and then retightening solved it. I don't think it was the original speaker module, but something about opening it up and closing it back up caused the speaker not to work at all. Now it does and I can hear the ringer and notifications agin.
Just updated to Lollipop on the latest generic firmware (23.1.A.0.726) and all was great initially until I decided to try to video my goddaughters first steps.
I was then greeted with a "Unknown Error" on the 4K Camera, and the camera also Force Closed on the regular video camera function.
Is there a fix available for this, as I know the camera works perfectly under Android 4.4, but I have had nothing but problems on Android 5.0
I have taken a look in the exisiting bugs thread for Lollipop but nobody seems to have the same issue...
Have you concidered resetting your phone
See this is the wierd thing....
I've done some googling and it appears it may be a generic Android Lollipop bug that Google is aware off...
And yes, rebooting the phone does somehow clear the issue, but surely this is not the answer to have to keep rebooting the phone just to get the video camera working??
Are you sure you haven't used the flashlight before? Lollipop has a bug when after using the flashlight for a couple of minutes the camera doesn't work anymore.
I never use the flashlight on my phone :-/
Happens to me as well, but occasional random or planned reboots related to Xposed framework and modules mitigated video issues..
Hmm...that's even wierder then as my phone is purely stock...no unlocked bootloader, no root.
Hmm. At least we can rule out an unlocked bootloader as a cause now (two other users and I are/were facing the same issue and we all had unlocked bootloaders).
Hey there! Since I got the phone I've had random reboot issues on Stock so I've switched to crDroid. But lately even on this custom ROM, I am experiencing camera freezing issues at 55 minute mark on WhatsApp/Zoom video calls. My video gets cut and the phone lags horribly and then after about 10 minutes, somehow it fixes itself. Has anyone else had the same issues ? Is there a fix for this ? I've had this issue on both Stock May update w/locked BL and on crDroid and EvolutionX. Thanks in advance.
i'm having this problem too
but it's even worse for me
always lagging in videocalls and camera cuts off completly after some time
i'm running stock android 10 ROM
Me too since about 2 weeks, maybe because of last security update (stock Android)
During video call the camera sometimes freezes, black picture.
It is also not possible to take photos after this happened. gcam and stock cam forced close.
After reboot everything is fine.
I found this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82666507&postcount=232 which describes in detail the cause of this error.
Hope it will be fixed soon

Hi!
My phone's warranty has expired a while back, and yesterday I decided to root it. I unlocked the bootloader with the Mi Unlock Tool, installed TWRP, flashed the latest Magisk, LazyFlasher and Camera API 2 support zip, all over the device's original MIUI 11 Global Oreo ROM. The phone seemed to work just fine, everything went seemingly well until I received a phone call, and realised I couldn't hear the caller, and he couldn't hear me. Before this modification, my phone was working properly, and I have good 4G signal here. I also noticed that I couldn't even make Messenger or Skype calls. I entered the factory testing app by tapping 5 times on the kernel version, tested the top small speaker and no sound was coming out of it. Then I tested the loudspeaker, and that didn't seem to work (although it works when playing music or YouTube). What caused this problem, and how to fix it? Please help, my phone is now unusable in this state.
