At first it works just fine, maybe after a few hours/days of use, it suddenly stops working! No sound at all!
Ive tried unpairing and pairing again. Still no sound. Ive tried switching airplane mode on and off, problem stil there.
My bt earphone works just fine on other device, only on my pocophone with miui eu, it doesnt work. I have the latest miui eu weekly btw.
Ive searched everywhere, I think im the only one with this problem. HALP!
Edit: solved! I had to unpair and pair and then reboot. Fixed it
I seriously need help!

First of all, hello!
Ok, so I've been having this problem with the phone since I received it: When I want to transfer the audio of the phone to an LG Home Cinema via Bluetooth, the audio doesn't sound properly (sometimes nothing comes out of the speakers and sometimes half of a second of the song plays but very distorted, but in the phone it is displayed that the song is playing). I tried to pair the audio of the phone with a mini speaker that also supports Bluetooth and the Redmi Note 2 works just fine with it.
I've changed the rom several times since I bought the phone (MIUI always, I'm currently on 7.1.0 Stable) but the issue is still there.
My previous phone, a Mi3, worked well with the Home Cinema and also every other phone that I link to the speakers also work well so it's definitely a problem with the Redmi Note 2 and this LG Home Cinema in particular.
Any suggestions or thoughts on this?
Thank you!
I am having the same issue with bluetooth headphones...audio stuttering is horrible + some peak distortion...I`ve tried anything (change build.prop, disable wifi, disable bluetooth log) but no change.
The headphones are not defective as they work properly with PC or other device with android 4.2.2.
Same here. Annoying stuttering in bluetooth headset.
I'm using weekly dev builds from xiaomi.eu
No problems here with the global developer version. Works like a charm with Bose Soundlink Mini and Creative T12 Wireless.
Bluetooth stuttering....

Does work fine with miui though... BUT.
For me so far, bluetooth audio stutters very rarely, but it does stutter now and then. No distortion, however.
Currently on xiaomi.eu v6.2.25 about to move on to v6.3.24 beta
Hello everyone!!!
I have a problem, a very big problem...
I had CM14.1 5/12 Official build nightly properly working, and I left the phone without using it for about 2 hours... When I took it, I tried playing music, but there was no sound... However, I was receiving notification sound... I made a call, on both modes, normal and speaker mode, it worked, calling to myself - the phone rang... But no multimedia sound, music players, YouTube... No multimedia sound was being reproduced...
I reflashed the ROM, with full wipes, and flashed plenty of ROMs, both MIUI, CM13 and CM14.1 based, also restored full MIUI backup from TWRP... No result, fastboot flashed offical global dev 6.12.1, EDL and fastboot flashed 7.5.3 MIUI, flashed Qualcomm factory ROM by QFIL... No result!!
If I put my headphones, multimedia sound works, but won´t reproduce on speaker... On MIUI and Qualcomm factory ROM, the headphone logo appears on the statusbar, and it can´t be removed, no matter headphones are connected or not... I think this has something to do with this problem!
Any idea?
Pls help!! I am lost and I don´t know what to do more than that!
Thanks and regards!!
Try to clean the headphone jack ...
May be water had entered into the headphone jack...
In such a case, keep the mobile reverse (headphone jack facing downwards) for at least 2-3 hours and clean the jack with cotton and blow air into the jack.
Also try to use volume control apps from playstore to increase media volume
Also enter into the QC Test mode and test the hardware....

i had the same problem few years back on Zenfone 2 4gb, whenever i flash custom kernel or cm roms.. this used to happens with my device specifically.. headset always plugged in... in your case first you have to figure out is this issue is physical or software issue, whenever you get headset pluged in.. just plug in the headset and then take it out.. now play music and observe the issue...
secondly there may be water or moisture joining the contact pins.. buts thats rare.
Thank u all for your answers, I first got the answer on CM14.1 post...
The headphone jack was dirty, with a small stick, I introduced it and screen turned on and stick got a little dark... And now it works!! So it was hardware problem (software was almost impossible, I had tried everything)
Thanks and regards everyone!

I had the same issue. No media sound but sound working fine in notifications and alarm. Was on Stock MIUI. Changed to Nitrogen Rom. The issue persisted. When I searched around find this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/help/sound-speaker-playing-music-t3478002
Tried the solution mentioned there i.e. plugging and unplugging a headset into the jack a few times fastly. I did around 8 plug unplugs and it worked.
Hello guys, I have recently flashed MIUI dev 6.12.22 and having issue with audio. As soon as I connect my headphones they automatically gets disconnected, also I tried with Xiaomi.eu rom still having same issue, however if I keep my headphones connected and then reboot the device the problem gets solved, so when Everytime I want to connect my headphones I had to reboot my device with headphones connected with headphone jack.
However when I was on cm14.1 (official) everything was fine.
Any fix for this ?? This is a Rom issue or only I'm facing this ??

I am on the same rom and I have this issue as well. But for me, when this error occurs, just disconnecting and reconnecting the headphone solves the issue.

Hi guys,
I am facing a awful problem with bluetooth handset (Plantronics Blackbeat) and stock ROM
When connected in bluetooth, music plays fine, but I cannot get the music paused through Bluetooth headset. However, changing tracks works fine. Clearing bluetooth data and reboot the phone makes things to works, but only one time !!
How can I get this issue fixed ? Does someone else 's facing this issue ?
I am using Poweramp and YouTube Vanced if it may help.
No problems with IconX (2018), the pause button works fine, maybe it's a problem from the bluetooth headset, have you tried with other phones/devices?
No problem here with Redmi airpods.

This has already been discussed, no solution for now. Let's hope Android 10 solves the problem.
My v30s bluetooth was working fine until just the other day, but it suddenly became undiscoverable to my bluetooth speakers and my echo dot. My phone isn't able to discover these devices, and when I go on the alexa app, my phone doesn't show up either.
The strange thing is, the bluetooth works fine with my earphones. I'm also able to discover the bluetooth for my soundbar and my car.
My phone is not running any custom mods or roms. I've already tried resetting the network preferences, resetting my phone, and switching the avcrp version. Anyone else have this issue or any idea what could be the problem?

Nope, I've tried posting on the v30 subreddit as well, but haven't gotten any responses yet
