SOLVED : read post no. 10 , i confirm it working, i tried it in 2 consictiv discharging
Hi all,
my G965F phone has Latest OTS update, not rooted, battery is very good till 15% i get about 5-6 OST.
but as soon charge reach 15%the battery looses 1% literally each 1 second. some times when i plug the charger at 7% i see the phone charging while battery keeps droping, i found several users with same issue, i tried several method to re calibert the battery including clear cashe and factory reset but no luck.
any advise?
I have almost the same problem but my drops from 30 and sometimes from 35 ! Interesting is that when i charge the phone to 25 it discharges normally to 0 but when i charge to 80 or 100 it drops like hell when 30 is reached! I have read a lot for the same problem and tried everything i can for now even hard reset without success! Hope someone will help here with solutions otherwise i will use my guarante to fix the problem. 5-6 hours of sot here with 4g always on . Are you using app called AccuBatery because i think thah it has something to do with the drops?
I have the same problem, I thought it was only me!
Sounds like a faulty battery. Did U guys try discharging till the phone shuts down and charging to 100 a few times? That helps for calibrating the battery again. It's recommended to do that monthly.
I have try to discharge and then charg it to 100 couple of times without success! Tried factori reset! No success with secred code 0228. If it is defective batery it seams to me a Samsung trademark because the web is full with Samsung users with the same problem. My phone is almost a year old and yet with damaged battery!

used to use AccuBattery before but I have uninstalled it a while ago, problem is still there
Tried in safe mode from 40 to 0 and problem is stil there but this time started from 15! Still 6 hours SOT!
did anyone read that replacing the battery solves 5he problem or no? i have some doubt that it could be software issue?, iam thinking of flashing official rom via odin with wipe option
I had this issue 1 time since last software update. Then I calibrate the battery with *#0228* and until now no more problem.
But I also think that is possible that the latest firmware has a bug.
Cheers.

I tried this method also before when battery was 25 or 20% but with no luck, but yesterday i tried it again but this time when battery was 92% then directly i restarted the phone by volume down button and power button to recovery mode and i wiped cashe, then used the phone normally, the battery discharged all the way to 0 with no problems, iam testing 2nd charge now to be sure before confirming if issue is gone or not
I am having the same issue. It uses to drop from 20 to 0 in r blink of an eye. I formatted the phone and re-installed latest custom ROM (Soldier's). I still have the issue but now it drops from 15 to 0.

My phone drains the battery very quickly from 100% to 1% but after reaching 1% it can be used for hours.Last time after the full charge battery dropped from 100-1% in about 2 1/2 hours of use on WiFi but after that it lasted for more than 13 hours on 1% but the Network data, Bluetooth and WiFi was off.
Currently i am running CM7 stable (battery fix is also applied) i was also facing such issues on the stock 2.3.4.
maybe a battery re-calibration can solve this issue?

I bought my Atrix 3 weeks ago. My previous device was also another Motorola, Milestone.
When I first started to use Atrix I found that the battery was draining so quickly even I didn’t install any apps yet. It was becoming 1% in 70 minutes with full display and running default apps.
I tried to full battery several times, did factory resets and finally went back to shop. The shop replaced the battery with another new one.
Still it happened same problem. Then they changed my device with another new one. It was same, too.
I would give it back to shop but last time I decided to discharge it until it turns off.
At this point I found that discharging takes long time after it became 1%. For example by heavy using it becomes 1% in 70 minutes, then it takes at least 200 minutes more even I watch videos via Youtube, play games etc.. It means in total it takes at least 4,5 hours with full display and heavy usage. That’s OK for me as battery life.
But I want my battery meter show correct percentage. Then I can be able to know when it will turn off.
I tried battery calibration several times. I search a lot about this problem but found nothing. Probably people thinks that their battery life is too short.
So cannot find solution.
Summary: My Atrix’s battery meter immediately drop to 1% and then runs 3 times longer than previous 99%. PLEASE HELP ME TO CORRECT MY BATTERY METER DISPLAY.
Do you think that your battery fix way helps me?
Please see details of my Atrix below:

I don't know. I bought it, and unlocked it directly, then flash CM7 Rom, but noticed that the battery drain very fast. However, after the indicator becomes 1%, I can still use rather a long time. I thought it was an error on battery meter, but I can't make it display correctly through calibration.
Now if the battery is fully charged, I can still use rather a long time after the indicator becomes 1%. But after the battery drained, it can't be charged completely. It really disappoints me very much.

Ya that's the same problem i have i think its something to do with phone recognizing the mah capacity of the battery if u can see the charge-full-design in sys/class/power-supply/battery/charge-full-design u will notice it showing only 500 which should be 1880 that's why our phone drops and charge quickly according the capacity its getting from charge-full-design.
This value can be changed on other phone but for Motorola i have not found any tutorial or app to do so

And for charging don't take off the phone from charging on 100% bcoz when the phone battery meter is showing 100% its battery mv is less than 3900mv and if u keep it on charge after 100% battery mv value will gradually go up to 4200mv which is the actual capacity of the battery.

Oh, thanks. The value in sys/class/power-supply/battery/charge-full-design is just a result, representing the battery statue. So the key is that the battery capacity can't be recognized correctly by the phone. I just test another battery, and the value 1880!
But the former battery doesn't look like a fake one. Actually, I bought them together. I can't understand.

Flash sirkays 6.1.1 ics kernel. In which you can use your phone for 2 days
Then flash hybrid rom(2.3)--I choose this rom coz it is lite and can run very smooth even in 800mhz
Then under clock your phone to 800mhz and use conservative governor

Charge your phone to 100% (421)and then calibrate it....IT SHOULD WORK
maybe reflash ics firmware or change battery or take it to repair center
Just restart your phone.
r
When I plug my charger percentage remains frozen so can’t see wen it is fully charged. And when I try to calibrate it just says 0% battery spent for example when calibrating web browsing... It is as if some battery sensor burned out or something. Could that be the case?

No it didn’t it just started couple of days ago.
The thing is that I can read my battery status via hard battery calibrator script which means that sensors are still operating. but I cant recharge my phone via usb and I cant reed my battery status on it (in status bar). Also my battery time is extremely poor - like 12 hours max on very little usage (about 8 hours of me sleeping included) or like 3-4 hours of heavy usage. Is there any one here with knowledge to help me? Thanks in advance

I have got a strange problem.
My Samsung S5830i Galaxy Ace has a battery drain of 50% per night without usage, WLAN off.
The device is rooted, and I've had an battery issue when using Link2sd with a ext2 partition (bcm.sdhc.3 kept the phone awake all time). I fixed it using ext3. This was six month ago, no problems after that.
Since last week, I got this huge battery drain. BetterBatteryStats tells me the phone is sleeping most of the time, no suspicious processes.
I tried with a battery from a friend, no result.
I factory-reset my phone, no result.
I used a ClockworkMod recovery from the time before link2sd, no result.
The battery is still draining like hell.
What else could I do instead of throwing the phone away? Please help!

His Battery is not very old. And I think it would be strange it is really a battery problem, because it happens very sudden and the behaviour of the two batteries is the same.
The phone is 1,5 year old. I think about unrooting and try to make use of the guarantee or to get another rom and flash.
But if it would be a software problem, at least the recovery should overwritten the faulty settings, or not?

Same problem here on Cm. Try vova vafin cm12.1
Flash this twrp, it's just perfect: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwdRTuyj12_yR2xMREVkZnBacDA/view
In order to calibrate the battery via twrp you have to:
boot into TWRP recovery
/advanced/File Manager/
folder /data/system/
click batterystats.bin
click Delete
reboot system
If, after all these, problem with battery still exist, then consider of buying a new one

This is similar to what is happening to my RN2.http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/help/uptime-recovery-shutdown-0-battery-t3497868
With last charge it did ~1:45 SOT on normal usage.
After it shut down, I restarted and it was at 2% and I watch a video for 45 minutes before it went off again
Finally I did 30 minutes on TWRP with 50% screen brightness.
Which ROM are you using?
EDIT:
can you do the test with recovery?
After it shut down:
- boot into recovery
- set the screen brightness to 50% if you can
- time how long it remains on

Hi evryone i am actually living in french so sorry for my bad English.
Anyway i am writing on this webstite because i have a problem with my honor 7.
Well i have this phone since one year and half now and i didn't have any problem with it since april 2017.
My phone use to turn off randmoly when the batterie is load over 30% and all the time when the battery is under 30%. I try many app on the playstore to calibrate the battery but each time the same issue. I also try a factory reset but nothing change. I don't know if it's software problem or the battery ? I can reboot the phone after this problem but when it started it turns off 1 min later with 5% of battery. Do you think i have to use the warranty or i can fix it by my own ? i am using the offical os.
Thanks for you help
I am having the same problem too!
U could try Accu battery, it shows the health of you battery too, it could be dead or malfunctioning.. I had a random problem that needed replacement the motherboard.. it's just stuff, and stuff break, and yes it should hold for longer but somethings just don't do as it should sorry got no fix:crying:
Thanks Ford the reply
So i downloaded the accu battery App and after 10 Charles it says tuhat My actual vaatteet capacity IS 265mah instead of 3100 anyone know whats the problem ?

I would definitely say that your battery is about to die, and I would check if your garanty is still valid and then get it changed I had rooted mine and custom ROM with Xposed and then it crashed.. but because it was before my garanty ran out my service center replaced the motherboard for free, and I got an almost brand new phone back:good:
And that said, it was unlocked bootloader, rooted, custom ROM + recovery and they didn't even flinch, they just took it and fixed it:good:
Thank you for the reply but
My warranty has ended already so do you think that i should
1.replace battery
Or
2.somehow try to get motherboard replaced by third party somehow
Yeah, Accu battery says mine´s 90% of original capacity. But with problem least for half of day with moderate usage. B390 after factory reset... My last honor phone

I think you need replacement of your battery, if you can boot, even just a little, then it's not a dead motherboard. When my motherboard gave up my phone completely died, no boot, no charging, only sign of life was 2 vibrates when holding power button for over 20 sec... damn it was dead:laugh:

That's wierd.. what does the other stats say??
Estimate Capacity: 2816 mAh
Stats says:
Discharging speed: 139mAh - SCREEN OFF
Battery last: 19h (screen off) / 12h (screen on/off) / 5h SOT
Most battery using: "Huawei Home", Chrome, ....
It says "Combine Use" - 17h ....but after few hours it´s less than 30%.
GPS OFF, 4G data turn on, 2 SIMS, no Wifi, Facebook and Messanger App is killed (restricted to run on background).... dont know.... I dont have time to setting up my phone over and over all day long after factory resets...
Think about using my Moto G 2nd again

I think i also have this problem, where battery drains in one hour and phone shuts off at 30%. Phone is still in warranty, however I have read that honor only gives 6 months warranty for battery and charger. Which I don't apply for, since phone is a year old.
So the question is if it is a motherboard related problem or a battery related problem?

I couldn't say, I'm not a tech or anything, I just shared my experience, but I would take it to service?
