Gallery broke after content lock - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I'm running the boombox rom on my V30 and saw in the settings "content lock" and just wanted to try it out. After I set a password my gallery won't open, it just force closes all the time. Clearing data and cache of the app didn't help and I don't see how I can disable this content lock, there is no option which is really weird. Any ideas ?

Help with opening mms

So I got a picture message from a friend and when I clicked it to enlarge I got a choice of what to open it with: mediascape, gallery, or astro image viewer. Unwittingly I chose gallery and checked "always...", and the images wont load that way. Now every time I try to open a picture message I get the same error.
I tried deselecting gallery as default in "manage applications" but it didn't change anything.
Can anyone help without making me reset the phone?

Try clearing the cache of gallery and see if that works. If is does not, try uninstalling and reinstalling it after you set mediascape (or any other apk) as your default.
thanks, it worked. i uninstalled gallery and mediascape with titanium. unfortunately, now it wont let me restore them lol.
off to android development to try a new rom i guess

[Q] [APP] Tasker to perform app actions?

Hey guys!
I wanted to play around with the Tasker app and got the idea to automate Google Play Music with it.
In one of the latest updates for GPM there is an Option to only show my downloaded content.
So what I wanted to do was to automatically switch to "downloaded content only" when my phone
disconnects from any wifi network and switch back to "everything" when my phone connects to wifi.
I have not found an option to perform in-app-actions like that in Tasker but i have found the option to run scripts.
Since i'm not really into scripts and programming i'd like to ask if there is anybody here who can help me with that.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Change default lockscreen camera app

Does anyone know how to set google camera (or any other third-party camera app) as the default camera to open when using the lockscreen camera shortcut?
I have another phone app (True Caller/Dialer...Which btw are completely awesome phone replacement apps). And when I use the lockscreen phone shortcut, it gives me the "select default dialog box" to choose which phone app I want to default to. The camera shortcut doesn't give me a "select default app" dialog box.
No matter what I do, it always defaults to the stock Touchwiz camera.
I have a SCH-I545 w/OC1 stock deodex (muniz's). I've tried everything I KNOW to do. Wiping data, caches, uninstall, reinstall, changing permissions...etc,etc,etc...
SOS! HELP! PLEASE! THANK YOU!
Have you tried clearing the cameras defaults? Or just uninstalling it all together?

Kind of afraid to uninstall the stock camera. Using advanced tools from play store to start google camera at boot may b the trick. Gonna reboot and c. But yeah I've tried all the normal clearing protocols with data/cache etc.
Hello there,
I went through 3 similar threads and NO solution at all How come ???
If you found a solution, please post it...
P. S.: I can disable the stock camera, but I can't uninstall it.

[Q] App lock issue

Has anyone tried the inbuilt app lock in the phone? I had locked some apps in it. When I open the app, it asks for pattern for the first time. But when I exit the app and open it again, the app opens without asking for pattern. Can anyone confirm this?
This is not confirmed but u may try it once. Please not clear the recent of the 'applock' app .means the 'appkock' is always be in the recent .

Is it by chance Google Assistant or just the Google App? Can you post a screenshot of the advertisement your seeing?
If in doubt try factory data resetting the phone. I would suggest this combined with an antivirus/malware scanner (at the very least the latter if you don't plan on factory resetting the phone). A factory data reset basically resets everything back to default and removes all your apps. Set your phone backup, install some sort of antimalware/antivirus app and then pay particular attention to what apps you install. If the issue happens again take note of what apps you installed last/recently (cuz they might be the cause).
Don't do factory reset, download Malwarebytes eecurity,u will get 1 month free, then choose "use deep scanner during full scan" from the settings,it will detect and kill the malware nd adware
Chack the apps with an "overlay permisson"
Got it fixed had running Malwarebytes and Samsung owns antivirus both got nothing, i cleaned Google cache, reset their app data, removed few apps and its gone thankfully, have no idea where it would come.
The picture attached is "Estonian language" but yeah it would close my apps and show the add when I click show recent apps shows "Google play services" and then it immediately deletes itself.
