Bluetooth and dialer problems - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have 2 following problems with bluetooth that I didn't experience with my previous Samsung devices.
1) It doesn't send album art to the car screen. I am using Poweramp pro and google play music. Both were sending album art to car stereos from older galaxy smartphones.
2) when a headset, earbud etc is connected then all the notification sounds (except ringtone) play only from headset and not the phone, something that didn't happen in any galaxy smartphone.
Additionally for couple of weeks I am having and a stock dialer problem:
3) when opening dialer and start pressing numbers the contacts are listed alphabetically and not in order of frequency. I tried uninstalling some programs and reset some settings but nothing, the dialer pops up contacts in alphabetical not frequent order.

[Q] A2DP/AVRCP , the "Play" button and Google Music

Alright, so this is a bit of a mystery to me. I'm rocking a Sprint Epic4G with the latest Gingerbread leak, although there's nothing that appears to be device-specific (maybe, that why I'm noting the device just in case ).
I have bluetooth enabled all the time and my phone is paired for both headset and multimedia with my car stereo. When I get in the car and hit the play button on the head unit, it randomly decides whether to launch Google Music or Music Player. I can deduce no pattern to which is capturing the AVRCP button press whatsoever.
I would prefer to always launch Music Player (lag is too high to make Google Music useful in the car) but I can't find any settings related to what goes one there.
Any thought folks?
I have a similar question for AVRCP on Google Music...

strange issues with poweramp and car dock

Ok so i use leedroids Rom and kammas GSM kernel, with the EVO in my official car dock I can listen to music with poweramp fine for around 20 mins. Then strange stuff happens, the phone suddenly thinks it has a headset attached rather than headphones and starts dialling previously called numbers, starts music playing in the standard music app and switches tracks in poweramp! It also used to start voice dialled and Google Nav so i froze both those apps.
In poweramp settings I have "respond to headset buttons" unchecked, is there a way to diasable the headset profile? And does anyone else have issues like this??!

[Q] Another bluetooth problem(Navigation, Skype etc get no sound over bluetooth)

Hi, I have already posted this on another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001204&page=6) as a reply, but I think this is a different topic and needs its own thread of discussion.
I have a weird bluetooth problem with my OneX+, where apps like Navigation, Google Voice, Voice Search, Skype etc just do not play through the bluetooth. Only the inbuilt Music app, phone calls and the system sounds (rings, alarms, notification sounds etc) play through bluetooth.
On my phone, the music and phone calls go through bluetooth fine. But the problem is, that all other applications which have some kind of sound output, just do not play through bluetooth. The list includes, Google voice, Voice Search, Navigation, Skype, Waze, Raaga, Pandora and so on. So other than the in built music app, calls and system sounds, nothing else can play through bluetooth.
However, if you have some music played using inbuilt music app, and at the same time Navigation ON too, then all the navigation prompts play through bluetooth fine.
I feel that, in built music or calls can hold and lock the bluetooth connection while the sound output is on, whereas all other applications like Navigation, waze, voice search etc, just cannot keep the bluetooth locked in. Hence when music is being played bluetooth is connection locked and I can hear navigation too. But you switch off music and navigation (or other apps) go mute.
BTW, I tested my car with HTC One X (not plus) from my friend, and it does not exhibit any such problem. Navigation (or other apps) play fine through my car's bluetooth. No need to keep music ON on the phone.
Has anyone noticed this? Can someone please test it with their devices? Please try various sound output apps on your HOX+ over bluetooth, and list them here wheather they could output sound using ur bluetooth device, also please name what bluetooth device you are using.
If you know any work around, it would be of immense help to me for sure.

I will test it with the navigation only on my way back home from work. Will report back.
Just tested navigation without anything else. Worked for me over the car speakers via BT.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
I too do not have this issue. Look under Bluetooth and see what profiles are enabled.
You should have both "Phone audio" and "Media audio" checked. If they are, then unpair and repair your phone.

Stock or running custom Rom? Didn't read your page long article on the problem just the first paragraph, thesis, lol. I ask because I'm running the elegancia ATT Rom and all u say not working are all working perfectly for me! I also use Bluetooth all day at work and in the car. My navigation (stock app) talks to me through my Bluetooth headset as well as Pandora, Google voice, etc. Using plantronics marque 2 headset if it makes a difference.

[Q] Headphone controls since update to 4.1.1

I'm running stock rom and recently took the update to 4.1.1 (3.16.651.3 710RD) and the behavior of my headphone controls has changed. I have only DoubleTwist free installed. I have headphone control enabled via Home -> Settings -> Player Settings -> Use headset controls = on.
Single press mostly works fine to start/stop, but two clicks both advances to the next song *and* calls my most recently called contact.
In addition, sporadically, a single press will start the built-in Sprint Music player (in all apps, it's just called Music) instead of DoubleTwist.
I've hunted in vain for some sort of general phone headphone controls settings, or headphone related settings in the Sprint music player. I haven't found any. Is there a way to stop the competition/split usage of my headphone controls between the phone/Sprint music player?
Thanks for any tips/suggestions. Happy to provide additional information.

Song list on Camry Bluetooth Audio player - do not update list when scroll next song

Hi
I am using Mate 10 to connect to Toyota Camry (asia) 2017 on the bluetooth player.... I can play the song and can select next track...however, this are the problem that I encounter.
1) the name of the song (display on Car player) does not update when I select the next song... it is always display the first song.
2) the volume always go to minimal on my M10, when I switched to bluetooth connect...... ... This does not happen on my Huawei P8, in which when I switch between radio and bluetooth, the phone always remain the same volume scale.
3) I have select the APPmenu in Camry but this is always failed when I pair with Mate10...
I have tried to pair in many ways : car to phone, phone to car but does not work... for item 1.
Not sure if Mate 10 has issue on other bluetooth devices in other car model. ?
Thank in advance.
No issues with my 2017 Kia Carnival but I'm not using the stock music player - I'm using PlayerPro.
You might want to try installing a third-party music player on your 'phone temporarily to test the issue (though you'll have to manually stop & close the stock player, then open the third-party one, after connecting to your car). If you still experience the same problems, the fault is with your car; if not, it's time to investigate permanently changing your music player.
