Just need to activate it.

I tried the Google Installer of the Mi App Store but it did not work.
I encountered this error for most apps: Can't downgrade apps.
That is why I have listed the apps above so you know what to install and you are sure to get the latest versions for each.

anyone has else issue setting up card for instore payment with google pay?
miui 10.3.11
Can't complete set up for contactless payment
To resolve this, you'll need to contact your bank. You can still pay with this card on Google and across other apps and sites, just like before.
i have no issue with setting up these cards on another phone though...

I had the problem too and I tried all your steps but none worked. I found a guide on google which actually works. It's here http://en.miui.com/thread-4843639-1-1.html
Basically it says to turn off the MIUI Optimization and get an app from the Play Store called "App Permission Info" to bring back the AOSP style permission UI and set the permission for Contact and ContactSync app from there since MIUI permission doesn't work well on this particular case.
Edit: I just found a way to access AOSP style permission without additional app on MIUI 10. Just search "optimization" in the settings and click on "Battery Optimization". You have to open it from the search list otherwise it won't open the AOSP style app info.
in my quest to install google play i did something wrong.
In notification i get a warning: "Update Google Play services - Google play services wont run unless you update..." but when i press on the notification, google play opens, with Play services and the only option is "Deactivate".
Can anyone point out a solution?
if we already get the google play store, does it mean we don't need to finish downloading the remain apps from google installer? i stuck at google play service. Pls to reply. thanks

So I moved from WP7 to Android.
While setting up the phone, I enter the gmail account details and while "Signing-in", a popup appears saying "Google Play Store has stopped working". I clicked OK and completed the setup.
When I try opening the play store from the app drawer, the same message appears and I have also tried signing-in to another gmail account, same message.
I tried this in Viper ROM and CM10.1 for Rezound.
Can some help with this?

2. goto /data/system and delete accounts.db
3. if the above of the two not helps then reflash the rom

Did all the above. After flashing another ROM, the Stopped working message is not popping up anymore but the Play store cannot connect. It says "No Connection", although the internet is working fine in the browser, news etc.
I flashed another ROM, but still the same thing.

(I got it working with reenabling them again after deleting app data and uninstalling the updates for Google Play and Services, Google Hangout. Then the preinstalled Play Store reappeared and everything got updated again including the Play Store.)
Also I did deinstall a manual Play Store update I could not open after installation. Anyway Play Store was no more visible in application manager but I used some other tool to get to the screen allowing to uninstall, I think this was the tool "Uninstall APK" in "Android Assistant".
I have an old laptop that is running Bluestacks build 0721 Beta, which is great news. But I'm having problems trying to download a specific app that I can only get from Google play.
The main problem is Google Play doesn't come pre-installed, and so through trial and error I've had to to install the ADW Launcher app from the pre-installed mobile1 app, which allows me to at least get to the Google Play homepage.
But this then asks me for my Google account and password which I enter, which then causes it to promptly return to the ADW Launcher home.
I think the problem is that although I can add a Facebook and Twitter account with this version, I can't add a Google account. I've tried to download the current Google Gmail app, but it says my device isn't compatible.
Any of you guys know how I can get get Google Play to download apps on the first downloadable build 0721 of Bluestacks?
Cheers,
Jmc

Once you have set up your Google account(s), click on the account name(s) on the Google accounts screen in "Settings." This will bring up a window that gives you the option to Sync (or not) all aspects of your Google account (app data, browser, calender, contacts, drive, gmail, play books, play movies, play music, play newsstand, google+ and people details). If you want to sync, click the check box. Once you have that info clicked (or unclicked) you can run Sync by clicking on the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right hand corner in the Sync settings screen or one level up at the Google accounts screen. Good luck.

I'm not sure why contacts sync is missing under Google accounts on your phone. Like all users outside of China, I'm not running KK. Contact sync shows up on my Gmail account page (the types of sync are listed alphabetically and contacts, as you'd expect, shows up right under calendar). Maybe someone else has some ideas.
Yours is not a US version? I think the China versions does not come with Gapps. Only the playstore that can be sideloaded. I am from the original ham section and I flashed a China rom and that's what happened. There's no calender or contacts sync adapter installed.

my friend,
i've 2xMate2 4G - MT2-L01 and MT2-L05.
I had the same issue on both phones... to fix it is quiet simple.
if you are on the last version (b408 kitkat 4.4.2), just need to manually install one APK called "GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk". (attached file)
if you are using any other version, download the lastest gapps package for your version, unzip, find this apk inside unziped folder/system/app, and direct run this APK.
after that, you will have the CONTACTS SYNC option enabled again.
Thanks a lot, I tried with your app and didnt work, but I tried to search on google "Googlecontactsyncadaptet.apk" and worked perfect!
Really gratefull, it was a serius isseu of this phone
My friend owns a Huawei P8 (China) which identifies itself as shown in the attached screenshot.
To enable Google contacts and calendar synchronization I downloaded the CM12. 0 GApps package for Android 5.0 and extracted the 2 sync adapter APKs.
The installation of the calendar sync adapter worked smoothly and now the Google account also offers syncing of the calendar.
However the contacts sync adapter from the very same GApps package refuses installation on the phone. The installation starts and then terminates after some time with the message "application not installed". There is no further information why the installation fails.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks
Stefan

This solved my problem on Cyanogenmod 13. Thank a lot.
This happened maybe because I flashed pico Gapps, which doesn't include this file.
I did following steps:
1) Extract GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk from stock gapps.
2) Install GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk on phone.
3) Goto Settings - Apps - Google contacts sync
4) Give it contacts permission.
5) Go to Accounts -> Google account and delete the account.
6) Go to contacts app
7) Add a contact it will ask you where to save, select Google account and login your Google account.
All your contacts will appear now.

Hi all,
I have this weird issue with the new Gmail 5.0 (updated directly from Play Store) and it keeps brining this message up and FC: Unknown issue with Google Play services. All the other Google apps work perfectly fine, it's just the new Gmail and Inbox that don't work.
Deleting the GmsCore.apk and re-installing via Play Store is not an option as it wouldn't let me in the Store then. I am running LegacyXperia CM11 on my Xperia Ray. I should mention that I side-loaded an updated services apk from apkmirror.com, perhaps, someone can upload their Google Play services apk?
Help will be appreciated. :good:

Do you suffer from space insufficiency?
Are you trying to cure that thing by moving applications that get updated from /data/app to /system/app?
If yes then this might be your problem. Here is what I had.
With latest Google play services update all Google apps (Maps, YouTube, Gmail and Inbox by gmail) were working fine.
Then I needed space so I took the updated Google services apk which took a lot of space in my data partition and moved it to my system partition where its predecessor used to be. I did it completely well using root explorer and checking all tricky parts. I should mention that I study computer engineering and I've been into android more than 5 years so I know my way around.
Immediately after the transfer:
YouTube didn't load anything.
Gmail showed me the same message as you.
Maps force closed.
Inbox by gmail showed me a message of "oops something went wrong please try again later".
It is now my understanding that Google play services has become a very sensitive application that sadly should not be messed with. Especially with a completely redesigned and revamped app such as gmail 5.0 or inbox by gmail. They are just not THAT compatible yet to be able to keep working together after they've been moved around inside partitions.
My suggestion find the latest .zip of "pa gapps" flash it, update the apps that need updating and leave them as they are. They should work like that.
That aint it either

I had the same issue this two days Gmail wasn't working at all and Hangout was working but for every action i was taking it was giving me the error Unknown issue with Google Play Services and i found out the in my case the problem was Link2SD so what i did was unlinking Google Play Store and Google Play Services than i uninstalled Google Play Services and installed it againn but didn't linked them and error was gone.
The conclusion on my case was linking the app to sd card was causing the error.

In may case turns out that I had a version of "google play services" for Android 5.0+ instead of for Android 2.3+.
I did install "google play services" with "System app unistaller" and install the recommended version at gappsandroid.blogspot.com/2015/01/download-google-play-services-apks.html.
Note: In order to uninstall "google play services" "Adndroid devide manager" must be off in System -> Security -> Device administrators. Re-enabled it after install the correct "google play services" version.
Hope that helps
